Game has nice graphics and sound but it's so hard to see on the phone and know what you are doing or choosing. Everything is soooooo small. Looks fun to play but just confusing and hard to play on phone. Increased text size which helped but still hard to know what's what.
I couldnt download it on my S10, on mobile data it kept resetting every time I hit 100% complete, let it go twice but wasted 6GB of data. Edit thanks for the response. I have upped my rating to a more neutral 3 star and I'll try and redownload
What can I say, they basically gave me one of the best RPGs if not the best with 300hrs of content for £1.59. This game is amazing, never played before until now. A lot of the negative reviews are more user error than the game itself... My phones screen is over 7" n with font maxed in options, I see n read everything jst fine so ensure your device is appropriate. The game is huge and the writing is amazing with consequences to your decisions, character variety and choices. Fully recommend
Casting the screen (using Dex or otherwise) and playing with mouse and keyboard is pure joy, especially as a recent update improved the resolution. So much content. Thank goodness for god mode so I can enjoy the story and the fantastic companion banter.
Terrible couldn't even start the game. I can now play it but both Baldur's Gate games I can't put on SD card. So I'm now short on space for updates. Which means I can't buy any more of your games. Please fix this issue for me.
My All time favorite game, and still just as good on mobile. Be sure to play it on a tablet, 10+ inches screen or otherwise navigation and text will be a nightmare.
2.6.6.6: Switch fullscreen mode on/off in the settings has no effect, game still runs in fullscreen mode making some buttons in the UI nearly untouchable. During combat, music will shut down abruptly, also it will shut down if you change the scene where combat triggers.
When this was first released, there wasn't an option to resize text. Now there is, so it's actually readable. You have to play this game a little differently on mobile than on PC (like more auto pausing), but it's just as fun! It saves extremely fast, so I can whip it out when I have 3 minutes and hurry and finish a fight then save. I'd definitely suggest buying it on the PC if you haven't played through it before. It's a better experience on PC, but definitely playable on mobile!
Used to love this old classic so decided it might be fun to get the phone version. Only it's not really a version, at least thus far, really. All controls and graphics look just shrunk from what they used to be on pc. No adaptation to mobile at all. It's awkward, it's hard to see *anything*, stuff looks tiny and gameplay is fiddly and cumbersome. And that's on a Razer, a gaming phone with a large screen!
Loved the game, made it to chapter 3 doing all the quests available then one day when I tried to start the game. It got stuck on the logo screen with "starting" at the bottom left. I saved all the files that I could. Cleared cache, connect and disconnect. Nothing worked. I then re-installed the game and everything was fine but my saved game was gone and could not retrieve them either. As mush as I loved replaying this game from the PC days, this bug totally ruined it. Wasted money...
Amazing game obviously 5/5 in pretty much all aspects. That being said. When you first start the game, it can be very, VERY daunting.... there are just so many options when it come to creating your character, selecting your team, or creating one, for that matter. But it's incredible. The world is lovingly and meticulously put together, the lore is deep and expansive, the enemies are varied and challenging. This game is just a wonderful experience that I highly recommend to any DnD fan new or old
Very impressed with the game. This was my favorite game in the old days and now on mobile it's amazing. I was skeptical at first after seing many complaints about having the game on phone was too small visually. The font has the option to increase size so that is no problem. The game has zoom so you can use 2 fingers to zoom in and out on the fly specially during combat. There is no lag or load times which is awesome. I play on a galaxy s8 and the game plays and feels amazing. Must try for sure
As I remembered but never had time to finished. But still the same and I am back and trap again in the stories, the characters and the lore, and sometimes the awful mechanics (the game is over 20 years old). But God it is good, if you never played it, you must but be ready for some backward steps in gameplay compared to PoE or DOS. I play on 10inches tablet without issues but do not bother to try on the phone. Finally be ready for some sleepless night and enjoy!!!
Great game, however there are a few points ingame where the player can get stuck, unable to move forward with the story. For an "enhanced"edition it would seem the devs would have corrected these issues. Aside from that, love it. Just be sure to save frequently and have several backup saves available spread out along the game.
Read some bad reviews. It is working well on my chromebook. For some reason it never runs the first time I click on the icon. Also before clicking on the icon I have to press Ctrl+Shift++ to make the resolution the largest possible otherwise I only see a small window or part of the screen. It runs well. Doesn't even make my chromebook warm.
Incredible. An absolute masterpiece. I play this on my tablet and there are endless hours of gameplay. Its a great port, runs flawlessly. The only problem is I cant play this game effectively with my Galaxy S8s small screen. The print is small, the buttons are cramped, the characters & enemies are difficult to target. Its nearly unplayable. Well, for me with my bad vision & stubby fingers anyway (great genes! The best! :) Its outstanding on a tablet though. I love it too much to dock any stars.
I recommend playing this game on a tablet, but phone is fine for on-the-go game play. BG2 was my favorite childhood game and I'm excited to see it ported to mobile. Using external apps to put it on Android in the past was horrible, so I'm very happy for this. The game runs smoothly and doesn't hiccup with touchscreen. Even better, the expansions are included. So worth the money, and not just for the nostalgia.
I tried downloading this game 3 or 4 times and had no luck at all. It keeps crashing at 53% even with extra space on my phone. I've tried restarting the phone and theres no change. Gutted because it was a game I enjoyed as a kid and would have loved playing again. It's odd because I downloaded the first one without any issues at all. Whatever fixes you're trying clearly aren't working, time to start from scratch. Edit: tried getting in touch with the dev's and got stonewalled.
Horrible. I'm playing on a large screen control is next to impossible. Stuck in a wall 2x. If I could get a refund I'd be glad to delete it.
My experience has just begun, but it works, and I did enjoy this specific experience on my personal computer once before. Also, similar experiences have been brought to me by the company. Plus sale! Thank you!
Founds many leaks while playing, levels are not adjust it well, fights mechanic with enemies are so bad.
Classic rpg dungeons & dragons loved playing this on PC early 2000 now I have this on my tablet and it looks and plays sweet 10 out of 10 gameplay and graphics and voice acting Perfect on the bigger screen phones or tablets.
Love this game. Hard on the fingers, but still fun. Would give 5 stars, but i cant seem to buy the monk extra content. Please fix that asap!
Played this game back in the day on a 800mhz P3, and my Samsung Galaxy 8 puts it to shame. Really playable on the smaller screen, and hardly any issues in the grand scheme of things. Bought it for $11 and worth 5 times that easily. Great game, amazing replayability, and endless paths through the game to suit your style.
As a veteran of infinity engine games, I appreciate what beamdog has done here, although game needs improving. Mouse support should be better implemented. Right click does nothing. The cursor does not change with actions like the pc version. Also it randomly jumps on the map, please support mouse play. It is essential to enjoy these games to their fullest.
Great game, as any fan would know!!! Easy to use UI smooth game play fast loading really nice when you will find yourself having to reload quick saves. (for noobs YOU WILL) don't be discouraged; it's normal 😉. There are a few bugs I noticed, but nothing that has stopped me from enjoying. Thanks for the work you guys did so I can enjoy one of my favorite childhood games on the go!
