Balloon Challenge Soleau Port

* Please note that APP PAUSE / RESUME functionality has not yet been implemented..I will implement this after finishing my university course and after teaching my kids to drive. :)

BALLOON CHALLENGE
The objective of the game is to get your balloons as high as possible whilst utilising or avoiding objects in the sky along the way. These being airplanes, dark clouds, bonus clouds, directional clouds and tornadoes.
The higher a balloon goes (and stays!) up, the higher are the points awarded. Balloons score five points for each step they ascend.
Play is turn-based with yourself either against the computer (with selectable easy, normal or hard difficulty), or against another human.

i bought these and other soleau games in good old ms dos times. Great port! i have to uninstall and reinstall it often because the start screen doesn't respond anymore after some restarts.

An instant classic! Love it!
A simple game with simple graphics in a small package, but with tons of character and replay value. We need more of this on the Play Store. A big, hearty thank you to Clint for showing me, and many others, this game and to the developer for doing a cracking job at porting this classic :) Keep it up good sir :D
Great job the Port. Like many people here, LGR bought this to my attention. An amazingly simple game with enough randomness and tough decision making it last a long time. The local multiplayer with the flip display feature is awesome.
The only problem I found is that when my screen blacks out after 15 sec of not touching the screen (to save battery) the game closes and I have to restart :/ (the phone doesnt even lock or anything I just need to press again)
This is perfect. They didn't mess with it or try to modernize it. It's just a well done port of a classic DOS game. Outstanding! Update 11/14/2017 Just got an LG V30. Having same problem as my old Nexus 5X. Freezes on startup screen.
I love dos ports to the android that come out so clean. If it wasn't for LGR I would not of know of this. Good show all around.
Low rating overall and with controls because I have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the game to get to start a game. I can 15-20 game plays at different times, then all of a sudden I cant tap home screen to start a game. Tried fixing a few ways, but it keeps doing it.
Pretty accurate and works surprisingly well on the touch interface. It's basically reverse Bolo Ball, so it's a game I grew up on and you've nailed the feel of it.
A simple DOS port of a simple game. Fun to play with a friend. If you play against the AI, you best lower the difficulty before you get destroyed.
I'd never heard of the original 8-bit game but I'm addicted to this! It takes a few goes to learn how it works, but once you've got the idea it's simple to play. It's one of those games though where you're way ahead of the computer, heading for a huge victory, and suddenly the tables turn and you find you're beaten. Just one more go then... A retro cracker!
This game works beautifully with touch controls. Thank you for porting it. I can see this being an awesome new train game :)
Love it. Surprised by how great it is. Only problem is that the app closes if the back button is pressed or the app is interrupted. This is a bit much to ask but an online multi-player would be awesome.

Great fun! A simple game but excellent way to spend a few minutes here and there. Love the old school MS-DOS sound fx too!
The perfect piece of software to showcase the graphical capabilities of my new phone. Surely, with more noble efforts like these, mobile devices will one day surpass the unconquerable 486.

Balloon freakin' Challenge for Android! Exactly what I wanted back in 2011 when I covered this on YouTube. Plays just like the awesome original and includes sweet extra features like tabletop multiplayer and the ability to customize your balloons. Excellent.

After a day, the game does not start anymore, i have to reinstall every time. Extremely annoying!

I love the game. Played it all the time on my old PC. Played this version nightly on my Galaxy Amp 2 with no problem. But, on my Galaxy 6S Edge the game works the first time I play after installing, then just hangs on the splash screen the next day. It doesn't look like the developer is going to release any updates, so I guess I'll have to remember the good 'ol days as I'm sadly uninstalling this great classic...
