BandHelper: Set Lists and More

The BandHelper app works with your bandhelper.com account to share songs, set lists, chords, lyrics, stage plots, events, contacts and expenses with your bandmates, streamline your management duties and power your live show.
ALL THE INFO YOUR BAND NEEDS TO SHARELoad your BandHelper account with your songs, set lists, lyrics, chord charts, reference recordings, videos, notes, events and contact info and they appear on all of your bandmates' mobile devices automatically. If inspiration strikes during a rehearsal, make a quick recording in the app and that will be synced, too. With this info at everyone's fingertips, you'll spend less time remembering what you talked about at the last rehearsal and more time becoming a better band.

YOUR COMMAND CENTER ON STAGEThe BandHelper app evolved from the popular Set List Maker app and shares the same on-stage functionality. Auto-scroll lyrics, play backing tracks and click tracks, and configure MIDI-compatible sound and lighting equipment as you move from song to song. You can control BandHelper with MIDI or Bluetooth footswitches, and link together multiple devices for screen sharing or remote control on stage.

TIME-SAVING FEATURES FOR BAND LEADERSScheduling gigs is a snap with BandHelper's automated email messages to ask your bandmates' availability, send updates if the details of a gig change, and send reminders before the gig. You can build and send stage plots with a drag-and-drop interface. And splitting the money after a gig is easy with BandHelper's features to track income (performance fees, merch sales, tips) and expenses (gas, food, rentals) and calculate each band member's share of the profit.

MOBILE OR WEB-BASED INTERFACEBesides its native mobile apps, BandHelper includes a web interface for quick data entry. You can enter all your band's data from your computer, and BandHelper will sync it to your mobile devices automatically. The web interface also provides basic functionality for band members who don't have a mobile device.

Updating my 2020 5-star review. Now 5+ stars! 😎 Outstanding features, functionality and support! If you just want the basic scrolling lyrics and chords, this is a slam dunk. But the feature set is so deep, I'm now using it to trigger midi patches on other devices, lighting, and sharing my screen with my bandmates so that we're all clearly on the same page. I've seen the other software out there, nothing comes close to Bandhelper. Arlo and his team hit it out of the park with this one!

Excellent full featured app. It beats any others I have tried. Well worth the subscription fee.

It's ok. But a huge learning curve and far too many features for what I need. Interface looks really dated and messy.

The idea of the app is great & it has lots of useful features. The dev is very dedicated to it; however, there are many frustrating things about it! Most changes lately seem to be for the worse & are real head-scratchers as to why he would change certain things to make them LESS user-friendly. I would still recommend it, but with the caveat that sometimes it's so frustrating that it doesn't seem worth it & you want to throw your tablet out the window! I'm not elderly or stupid, so it's not that!

BandHelper should first be setup and configured on your desktop computer; not on your phone. The app takes time to learn and implement, but once setup, and song information entered, it is an invaluable tool for any working musician or band. It makes gig planning, and set list construction so easy. Plus you can quickly distribute songs, setlists, and gig information to all band mates immediately. It is well worth the subscription price if you are a serious musician.

So much functionality! Deserves a higher rating. When I saw it's rating I was put off but needed an app with midi functionality so decided to try. Compared to other set list apps I've used it's head & shoulders above. Although not always intuitive, I haven't found a single limitation for my uses. It's connectivity between band members is great & customisation seems pretty extensive. Sure you have to part with some money but highly worth it in my opinion & the 30 trial will most likely convince.

This app has literally solved several problems we were having at our shows. It takes a long time to load everything, but OMG is it worth it!

You can't even make an account from the app, you have to go to the website for that. Then on the website it states that this requires a subscription, would be great if you would mention that in the info here. The top features we already have with our Office 365 accounts so no need for this.

The app makes it impossible to add or edit lyrics. The colors never work like they should. Either they don't type out in the color I choose, or they do type out fine but once I hit save, they show up a bunch of different colors!

Not intuitive. I pasted all most lyrics into the web interface and nothing shows up on the app. Using the web interface doesnt work for a performance. I'm sticking with my Word Doc.

Not intuitive. Songbook pro is way better for using on a tablet. I just wanted an easy way to migrate from using a binder to using a tablet on a mic stand as a solo acoustic performer and this was not it.

The previous version crashed when opening sheet music. It's been resolved and it's a great way for the band to share music setlists.

I just love this app. Does exactly what I hoped it would and more. Rock solid across all platforms and packed with useful functions for any performer.

Useless garbage. Can't even enter my password. The app freaks out. Very poorly made

Arlo, the developer, is a hands-on kind of guy who jumps in in the forum and in individual support tickets to solve your problem or answer your questions. This is how it should be. And, BandHelper is a brilliant app. Couldn't live without.

Theres seems to be a bug with this version. When I tap to open the app it click on my profile by itself and then exits the app. Might want to look into this

A fantastic APP with even better support from the Developer. Arlo is passionate about his product and his communications are very good. A very stable and awesome platform. A+++++

I really like this program. It has made this band very professional and more transparent in communication than any band I have been in.
