Bangla Newspaper – Prothom Alo

It’s a great newspaper that's FOR sure but constant Add pop-up makes the app makes it’s very annoying that's why i rate it’s 2star

Frequent ad causes a great sufferings to reader. It may be your business policy. but, as you've already launched a premium membership for your e paper reader, you should integrate the app service with that. You should have a policy like that, If anyone register for a premium membership for e-paper service, he/she would be avail to browse the app service without any advertisements.

This version of app is very frustrating, takes long time to load page and the app interface is very dull looking, but previous version was good. I am uninstalling this and switching to another news portal app. Hope prothom alo people may see this as many of the reader will do the same until they improve the app

I was using the app keeping my phone in silent mood. Suddenly an advertising video started playing with sound. I am too much disgusted. I must say this app is not yet upto the standard. Too much ads are extremely annoying. If this continues, have to uninstall. SORRY, had to UNINSTALL for the annoying ads.

Its a third class newspaper which writes for the powerful and political persons... They are the agent of that persons... It doesn’t write about the generel people..

Too much frustrating. It contains extreme level of ads which never let anyone a better reading experience. I'm completely fed-up with this app including Prothom Alo's IT division & the whole authority. Though the previous version was acceptable but this one ruins smooth reading and patience as well.

I don't mind occasional ads since the app is completely free. But the frequency has gone to an annoying level. It often pops up at the middle of scrolling. Please introduce an ad-free paid version if you must show ads this much in the free one.

Frequent ads completely ruined the reading experience. Most terrifying thing is - some of the ads are with audio; as a result your cellphone will suddenly speak up explaining features of a product in a serious circumstance! If ads cannot be avoided for commercial reasons; at least please do not include audio.

Prothom alo is one of the few reliable newspapers of Bangladesh and their recent app upgrade is awesome. But what is SUPER ANNOYING is the ad. Just imagine when you are sitting in you office at lunch time and lazily browse the app for latest news and then you attempt to navigate the news and some awkward ad starts with LOUD voice even when your phone is in silent mode! So what's the workaround? Plugging the earphone while reading news?? Enlighten me.

In the latest version, sometimes when I click on a news Headline to read in details, the Apps being closed. This is big problem and need to be solved. What about the comments section of each news or article? It's an important section to write views of readers. I think previous version was better than the current one.

Worst services! Sometimes It seems in this app nothing but lot of systematic errors. Most of the time it takes huge time to load. If I use a VPN app then I don't face any of these problems. What the heck is this!? I hope you will solve all of problems so that user could use happily without any hindrance. Thank you.

The initial version was good though having some sign in complexities. But the past two versions have not been upto satisfactory mark rather disgusting! The designs of the versions have not been able to satisfy me. I can't rate it with not more than 1 star.

In the the latest updated version, suddenly advertisement arises with loud sound. This is odd situation for the user as most of the newspaper readers are decent and job holders who reads from their office premises, this sudden loud sounds draws the attention of all the other personnels present there. The advertisements are also odd (vigo live, online chat apps with exposes women etc., I know ad choices are based on user data but these are too much lame).

Used the app for a while, it was good, but now there are too many ads, I cannot read a single news now, ad comes after every few seconds, uninstalling the app now, Congratulations! May you earn a lot from ads! Best of luck!

There are a lot of minor bugs. Like when i scroll, the texts disappears again come back. Scroll a bit and again disappears. Extremely annoying. Advertisements are way to much. To the point that you are going to notice it and annoyed by it.

the app is having a new issue that after reading the articles the app loads the listed articles automatically. but for the last two days, after reading articles, the app opens itself every time which takes time and data to reopen. opening the app after reading articles everytime is disguisting. please, fix the bug soon.

Very rare low quality app (News are fine). It's like good product with a very dirty packaging. Very Poor level of money generating techniques applied by Prothom Alo. 3 types of advertisement applied in this app. You'r reputation is at risk. Please read recent reviews. Yahoo news was popular once. They depended on banner Ads. didn't evaluate readers. They gone down by miles. You are not only using banner ads but also pop up ads. Best of luck.

Apart from Prothom Alo, I use BBC n CNN's app as well. These apps are easy and smooth. But sorry to say that experience with Prothom Alo app is unpleasant. Takes too long to load n sometimes there is automatic shutdown. Totally disappointed!!

The new version having too many difficulties, lettering are too thin and untold, hard to read. After complete one news, it goes to top page, not where I was, so everytime have to scroll down to last position.

Hardly to find any news between the BOLD and FULL SCREEN ads, as if this app is only to show ads. Also some ads are with vulger content. It's almost impossible to use this app after this recent update. Pls get back to your previous UI and Ad policy.

It is user friendly interface and good to read. Still two stars because of Ad. Inside the news ad is fine, but after read one news ad appears and can't close for certain time. This is very bad.

This app is full of ads. Very annoying to see a full screen popping up to show a commercial and sometimes with loud audio! Hope Prothom Alo will reconsider their strategy and rethink between making money and growing readership. I am very disappointed.

Is it really necessary to use 30+ seconds long pop-up ads that cannot be skipped? These are really very irritating. Please do use ads, but they should not make readers annoyed.

The updated app contains too many Ads, you can't even finish to read a news and an Ad flashes. Each time you want to come back in the home page from a news, an Ad flashes out. That's really annoying!!

It's really a great app for reading news. The only problem I face here is launching time, It takes too long to open. I'm not quiet sure if It’s because of network issue. But If it’s not, please try to fix that problem and that will definitely improve the app performance. Thank you!

As a top-notch newspaper, expected more lagging free app. Alas! it takes too much time to load, even buffer in almost every tap. Horrible now had to install another competing app.

The latest version is totally rubbish. I loved their app for breaking news notification. Now the UI is trash, and the worst thing is those popup ads!! It makes this app same as those scam apps. Hope the developer will take this issue seriously. Banner ads are bearable but please remove those nasty popup ads.

You just totally ruined this app with ads. Ads are important, I know, but constant pop up of totally useless ads with evey click is unbearable. I am uninstalling it right now. Someone pls suggest me a better alternative.

There is so much ads now that I cannot read the news properly. Showing ads is okay. But showing up ads before entering an article, middle of reading and after reading article are destroying readers interests. Sadly prothom alo became so MONEY HUNGRY that they didnt bother reader's interests.
