Baobab Scholars Community Platform
Baobab is an online social learning platform developed by Arizona State University and the Mastercard Foundation to specifically serve recipients of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. Baobab provides a digital place for Scholars to find support, network, collaborate, learn and develop professional skills.
Mastercard Foundation Scholars can benefit from Baobab now by:
• Developing professional skills to increase employability
• Meeting collaborators for projects
• Finding job, internship and scholarship opportunities
• Receiving advice from those who have shared similar experiences

Baobab includes functionality such as:
• Feed: The feed provides a space for Scholars to stay up-to-date with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Community. Scholars can ask questions, tell stories, find opportunities and share their learnings on the feed.
• Skill Development Lessons: Baobab curates skill-based lesson content on a continuous basis to help Scholars develop in a variety of areas.
• Learning Tools: Learning Tools help Scholars discover various open education resources across a variety of fields.
• Ask Me Anything Sessions: Scholars ask questions during weekly sessions with diverse career professionals.

Am the University of Cape town Baobab Ambassador and I was excited to see the milestone Baobab Team has come so far. From scholars feedback and having human-centred design, I can definitely say as a user of the app; that this app is fantastic. I can log in any time, anywhere other than waiting for me to open my computer.
This app is time saving, no need to go a long way before login. Great app, love it

Wow like the fact that we have a mobile app now but it seriously takes so much time to load content and refresh! More slow on mobile data and slow on good WiFi. Otherwise I love everything about it! Thanks @ASU!

It's a good app that connects you with big opportunities and fellow scholars and alumni around the world. I wish it could load faster though because it takes long to get you there. But otherwise, the app is fine
