The new updated app does not work with most phones. Please sort this out Barclays! Edit: I was told by the tech team it's being worked on, but they could not give any time scale at all. This really is just not good enough, just give us access to the old app until you get this one working, please.
As others have noted, does not even start on Samsung tablets. Works on my phone but cheque paying in does not work at all and video banking is very unreliable. Have tried to send feedback but just ignored by customer service drones. For a major bank this amazingly bad especially since lots of things are only possible through the app or by going to a branch. I would say avoid the app but probably better to just find another bank.
Downloaded app onto my tablet but it wouldn't open. I have the same app on my phone but I've tried 8 times this week to pay in a cheque, absolutely useless as the box you are supposed to get your cheque in jumps about all over the place. I'm seriously considering changing banks.
It does not allow you to acquire an activation code like the last app. Calling the Service Centre is a waste of time since it takes at least 10min wait plus 3 minutes until they put me on the right queue. Unbelievable.
Rubbish app, won't open on Android 10 tablet as app just crashes on loading. This has been an issue for a considerable period of time with no indication of Barclays coming up with a fix. Shame Google won't allow a ZERO or MINUS rating.
I just open yesterday un account with Barclays hoping to have a better banking experience then I haved with my old bank and I try to download the app....and surprise it's not working,is not even open. Please can you fix this problem is really frustrating for the first day,and I will not hesitate to close the new account straight away. Not the best experience from day one..πππ€π€
Doesn't work. FIX IT!!!!!!! I downloaded the app, and it has an error and it closes. Works perfectly fine on my Iphone, but on my Samsung it doesn't. It's unacceptable.
Very poor! Can't access the app at all on my tablet, and it usn't great on my phone either. I 've already had to visit my local branch about this issue a few days back. Not impressed! SORT IT OUT BARCLAYS!
Doesn't work, called one guy that works there I told him about the app as well he insist it works well instead of taking my feedback, he says it works well for him. Awful unfriendly staff and app. Even Skype call takes ages for them to answer took more than 40 minute just to request one thing!!!!!! AWFUL!!!!!
Horrible app on android. It doesn't even load. Shuts down with an error message. Worked just fine with apple. Someone needs to fix this issue. For being a big finance company, I am very surprised how horrible the app is on android device.
I installed the app, but after asking for permission of managing phone calls it just closes and whenever I open it again it just closes again. Unfortunate because that means I currently have no way of making an account at Barclays, the bank I wanted to use as my main bank throughout my studies.
Very good when it works,but when it fails,there's no fixing,I HAD to go to a branch to re-instate it,and what a performance they had getting it to work back to normal. Thats geeks for you,the real world is in another room.
When I install this upgrade it won't launch. I'm getting a technical error. Now my old version of the app won't launch either. Thanks Barclays I'm left with no working App!
PLEASE READ THIS. Don't make the mistake i made This app will not work in uk. i made the mistake to have an account from eastern europe and try to get in my barclays account. you have to make an another gmail account to manage to download the real app for barklays in uk. hope this helps to everyone
Unable to open, app is supposed to be compatible with android 5 onwards but getting message saying may not be optimised for your device, mystery as this is a new tablet running version 8.
If I could give it zero stars I would. It wont pay in cheques on my phone, and it wont even install on my tablet. SERIOUSLY Barclays, I have to now move banks. You have shut my local branch, your apps dont work, the nearest branch is 10 miles away, and knkwing my luck, you wont even be open.
The app doesn't even work on Lenovo tablet. It keeps crashing everytime I'm trying to open the app. I t does work on my phone. Please fix it. Thanks
Doesn't work on my phone now old app don't work either so just getting used to moving along with the times and now revert back to the good old days well done barclays epic fail.
Now been told the reason app crashing. It can't yet cope with Android v10...... App begun crashing immediately when opened. Sent feedback to developers, no response
You are unable to get into the app and unable to get help with it from barclays all updates have been done on the tablet not impressed. Not good feedback for either barclays or Samsung tablet
Waste of time ive been with barclays for 12 years had the banking app for 6 told to upgrade the app to this after 20 mins on the phone to customer service for an activation code put it in it declined it phoned again another code declined again then was told that my phone wasnt compatable with the upgrade so thanks barclays you have lost my custom as i need a banking app so today im going to switch accounts to the halifax as the mrs as the same phone and her banking app works fine
Keep getting a technical error. I finally got it working so deleted an earlier review I had done bc I thought it was gonna start working for me now but nope. As soon as I went back onto the app I got another technical error
I can't even open it. Unexpected error. Exactly like when I contact call centre, always a technical problem. Not an easy bank to bank with.... :(
Used to be great but is now rubbish. I get the same technical error that everyone else seems to be getting and I am very disappointed. Please fix this ASAP.
I installed this app, but couldn't see where to get my activation code from. I then registered my mobile number with Barclays as I thought maybe the activation code would come through to my mobile. I now can't even get the app to open on my phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it still won't open. So there are two issues. 1. where do I get the activation code from and 2. why won't the app open on my phone. I have a LG G7 ThinQ.
Unable to use the app as you need an activation code to get past the second screen, something which I don't have nor does it say where or how you get one?? Never mind.
Can't access it. Even tried to get an activation code via another mobile device which can access a decent Barclays app but still wouldn't work. Waste of time.
Can't install the app due to a technical error and the old version doesn't work either ... Great!
Terrible app doesn't even load on android my Samsung tab is brand new and this app is useless sort it out Barclays its bad enough you can't go in branch because of covid This needs YOUR ATTENTION we need to use this app on android devices we the customers who need this sorted NOW NOT TOMORROW
Absolute garbage. Can't use app without activation code. Failed to register online to receive the code. Customer service zero help according that details does not match. This whole process should take somewhere between 25 and 40 seconds. But after 40 minutes I still can't use neither the app nor the online banking. But at least I'm pissed. Thanks
