Did exactly what I needed! Scanned a sku of a Timex watch and gave me info on it along with 2 stores to buy it on and the ability to add other stores that carry it. Can't wait to see it used on other things. I can see this helping me do cross checking for my small business.
I am really disappointed in this app. It does not look anything like the pictures show that it does. It is very outdated and only takes you to a page that says item can't be found another send you to Google or Amazon. Even for a new item it should be able to pull it up with a picture like it claims but it does not do that on any item I have scanned. I have scanned over 300 items and none of them came up with a picture or anything like what they show the description.
This is a very useful app and it's very easy to use. I would like to see in future an add-on perhaps, a feature that links to the database of one's choice, and/or a way of saving the barcodes locally, allowing one to add other data (manufacturer, cost, stores and alternate stores, etc.) for quick and easy restocking of pantry, et al in busy households, for example.
ILOVED THIS APP HAD TONS OF BARCODES SAVED BUT THEN THEY DID AN UPDATE AND I LOST ALL OF IT 1 TO TWO YEARS WORTH OF BARCODES!!!!!🤬💩🥺😭😭😭😭 I WILL GO BACK TO THE FIVE STAR REVIEW AS SOON AS ALL MY BARCODES COME BACK sorry I No you guys worked really hard on this app but I have worked very hard very hard accumulating all the barcodes that have had thank you! Please help me Thank you
Pretty useless, the app could only fine 1/3 of items I tried scanning, and even when it does find an item it simply shows stores at which the product can be purchased, not where the item actually came from. Also it takes forever to get search results, a simple Google search is much more efficient.
Very Good and useful app. Just a small issue is that you cant share the item. Icon of sharing is there already but you cant press/click on it. Please add this feature asap. Thanks.
App really needs work. First off I had to rescan a few barcodes as the app attempts to scan the product description and gives errors. Secondly, it crashed twice in the 3 minutes I had it installed and attempted use. Thirdly, the 3 motherboard boxes I was able to scan correctly did not provide any product information with the upc or part number barcodes. 1 of the 3 products is about 2 years old and the rest are over 5. Gigabyte and Asrock are name brand.
Devs earn 2* for quick response, still needs more work :) The concept is good, however, when I attempted to add a new barcode item the app would not allow me to browse my photos to upload product images. Upon installation I gave it access to camera, but it did not request access to photos (which would seem normal). Add'l feedback: there should absolutely be an «Open page to browser» function for the internal "browser", and there should be a «Settings» button for a few minimal settings at least.
1st tried car inverter I got @ Walmart. Found it & nice description - even better was the price: $0.00!! Umm no. Next were tie wraps@ Ace. Found it, but shows price $1 cheaper than it actually cost. 2 other items it couldn't find (not a big deal) but what's the point if the price isn't listed or inaccurate?? Wish it had worked. I can't respond directly to the developer reply, I will simply ask - since when is $.00 ever a Walmart price? I scanned 3 different items from Walmart, all came up $0.
This is a good app, but there are too many steps you have to take to scan even with a shortcut. I'm finding that iOS built in scan app is so much better and more efficient. Seems to be pretty reliable on the Google results I will give it that as a positive.
This is great for items already in the system but adding items should be easier. I could save (star) items but didn't see a way to make a list for myself (ex: want, own, tried etc.) I'm looking for a way to make a 'bookshelf' of products.
Holy Shiiiitttt.....is all I can say!!!!! Download this AWESOME App!!! I had several packages of boy's socks, underwear and winter gloves that were given to my son last year but couldn't return or exchange them, even though they were popular brand's I've seen in many stores. I didn't know where they were purchased but attempted to return them anyway to a local retailer, but they weren't purchased there. Guess what, downloaded this app and made $67 in store credit. THANKS Barcode Lookup.
FAIL. NO WAY TO SCAN BAR CODE FROM PHOTO ON PHONE. UNINSTALL. .. UPDATE: Response to developer. I say I Cannot LOAD a Photo of a bar code have already l taken offline. The camera function works fine. But it will not LOAD a PHOTO that was taken previously. THAT is the capability I need and Most other apps include loading photos from your own camera gallery.
Best app for scanning a product on the market! I have used it to scan everything from car parts to flat irons. It's a life saver! I sell items on Mercari and it saves me so much time when I have a product with a barcode to scan. I love this app!
I downloaded app and installed it. I ran the app and it booted up fine. When I aimed my lense at the bar code, I could see the barcode in my screen, but it wouldn't do anything. It's probably a good app I just couldn't get it to work for me. I spend a lot of time choosing things and I thought this was the best one. Do I need an aftermarket scanning attachment or something?
Terrible UK barcode coverage. Struggled with curved surface products to get a scan, if it did get a scan it couldn't find the item in its database. It failed to find Diet Coke, the database is truly no good for UK products it seems, maybe if you're using it in the USA as other reviews seem positive from there.
Shows wildly different prices than in store. Showed that a toy my daughter got for Christmas was $50 full price at walmart, but when I returned it, it was only worth $10. Even if the toy had been on major sale, nowhere is offering a $50 toy for $10. If I had known that, I would've been willing to just give it away to someone who actually wanted it. Promptly uninstalled the app.
This app is AWESOME! It has almost every UPC or Barcode I have scanned into it... and when it doesn't... it's VERY easy to use its search tool to find the product and add it into the database. I wish I could give this app 6 STARS!!!
I was looking around this was the first I got. But after using it I learned that I needed more functions etc. Like other app like this. This one lacks, Saves, create lista for shipping etc., delete result, share the results and rename. Keep it up.
Too many intrusive permissions. It failed to find most of the food items I scanned and misidentified the rest e.g. Saxa salt shows as a pine picture frame. One exception was Spirit of Salts, although it could find nothing on its own database it did show up on Amazon and Ebay sites. ... Devs standard condescending reply. Well I have "played around with the app" and I "have made a proper evaluation" and it does not find many, if any, Euro barcodes. Nor do you address the intrusive permissions.
Great app, can chech prices in sake places
Tried 2 app's today and this is the best. QR reader is ok but often doesn't have the code. Tried same items here and boom, right away they popped up w\ others stores also, so far so good. Waiting for pop-ups... ill let-cha know in a week or so. Been 2wks now, no pop-ups and ive only had 1 thing not scan. Im a seller on a known site so inventory is vast. U gotta try it next time your in wallyworld (u know what i mean) you'll be surprised like my wife and i. Love this app
This is a useful app. Would have gave it 5 stars but, I was hoping for more info from like where it was bought and the price. It's most helpful in comparing other store price tho. Just wanted to have it be more procise on the first scan of the item for price and store.
I was typing in the UPC. The app could not find the item. One should be able to type in the UPC, as shown on a receipt, with no spaces, and obtain legitimate results.
I wish it also had information for local grocery stores. Hannaford and Shaws.
Please add the ability to generate/display on the screen *barcodes* that are scanned. I've requested this a few times, and you say does this, but it does not. You keep saying that you can see previous items scanned, but I'm talking about seeing the BARCODE. See the Barcode Generator app for example.
