XSCANPET= barcode scanner & inventory manager & excel database & Stock manager: You can use SCANPET to manage your inventory, handle your warehouse, home inventory or only read barcodes. Building your own item database is as simple as creating an Excel file.
This application have a lot of powerfull configuration options, and can be adapted for almost every situation. For example you can use this barcode scanner as:
* Warehouse Manager: It is a barcode reader (your device will work as a barcode terminal)
* Inventory Manager: It is a warehouse manager & stock taking tool. Here you can use the barcode scanner as a helpfull tool due to barcodes. But the app could still work without using it
* Use it also as an inventory tracker with your home inventory.
* Store inventory and stock managing: handle the stock of your store or warehouse: Items are divided into categories that are identified with a barcode. Register how many elements of each product category you have. This way you can do stock control using barcodes.
* Inventory of separate items: Build a movies collection, DVD collection, etc
* Wifi Scanner (wifi terminal): Use this if you need to scan the barcode directly into a document on your computer. This means the phone will read the barcode and will send it through Wifi to your computer. It will be a Wifi terminal.
* GPS Points of Interest (POIs): record GPS coordinates of the places you visit, like monuments, cities, beach, etc

xScanPet is a comprehensive application that uses Android mobile phones to scan barcodes and enter the information into excel type spreadsheets. My natural instinct was to try to run the app without "reading the instructions", but because of its comprehensive nature, viewing the instruction videos to get you on your way is necessary. In fact, I had to go through the videos several times before "getting the hang" of the app. The reason it takes some effort to understand xScanPet is that it is capable of executing a range of tasks, but in the end I am glad of putting in the effort. Technical support via email is prompt. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
This app is confusing it's not user-friendly. Very little documentation need a better and more thorough video then the one that's currently up. An app this size it should not require a large learning curve. It could be better constructed and laid out.
This app works fantastically well. It is very fast with data lookups in the spreadsheet. Extensive options allow you to configure it for your specific application. I also sent several requests to Support and received prompt responses which were helpful. Highly recommend this app. Thanks, Ralph.
Awesome App ! It deserves a 5 for how much you can do with it. Just know that it takes quite a bit studying and experimenting to figure out how it works and learn all the tricks. So it may not be great for everyone.
Love the app. Only problem is no specified decimal delimiter, so the requires a , in stead of an . for decimal seperation that differ from my excel. Maybe I just could not find it but it continuously show me that the . decimal notation is wrong
Ive done inventory audits on thousands of peices of hardware and without a good solution thats paid for i had to find my own way and this made my life super easy. got the data for each item emailed it to myself and put it in the company system......great little tool fir any small company or do it yourselfer

I use this app for a lot of things. you are limited by your imagination. If you can fit it on a spreadsheet, you can use it on Scanpet. Five stars for me.

This app, for the price is just fantastic. Very powerful in what it does. I have looked at systems costing hundreds of pounds that do the same job. We are using it to create packing lists for the thousands of products we ship out every week - just using an old mobile phone as a scanner and exporting to an excel document via Dropbox. One things I would like is a user manual rather than videos - but that being said if you email a question you get an answer very quickly. Even if it is isn't right for you have can you argue with £1.39 to try it out!!!

An amazingly easy app to scan barcodes into spreadsheets and manually enter data then email or export the data.
Very easy, quick start scan and go..just that orientation is landscape when scanning.

technical support is very responsive. i would like to personally thank the developer of this app. super feature rich, it really helps my tasks more easier and organized. i would say it is a must have app., esp. to those technically inclined and would want your process more automated and organized.
