Barnes & Noble Cafe

The food availability is wrong, doesn't include the items from the new vendor, and the employees don't know how to fix the discrepancies. There's THREE new muffins that aren't on the app, probably a dozen of the pre-packaged items, and a dozen or so new pastries, too! And honestly, why isn't therea recent orders section? If i always get a medium chai with vanilla, espresso, light ice, oat milk, whatever, i should be able to order that more really than making all the selections every single time

Application does not allow me to save payment info, thereby rendering it unusable. The email I sent about the issue came back as undeliverable. There is no place to add comments about an order, and there doesn't appear to be a gift card payment option. I would think that this type of application would have around long enough to have these problems solved.

The location search doesn't work, and only shows locations in other states. There's a BN a few miles away from my house but the closest one it found is in Nevada, almost 300 miles away. This app is literally useless unless you're near 1 of only 52 locations in all of the U.S.

TL;DR DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR DATA DOWNLOADING AND THEN UNINSTALLING THIS GARBAGE APP! Like most people, I have a B&N about 6 miles away, right next to where I work. The name of the store on the app is even the same as the town I live and work in so I thought it might be the right one. That changed as soon as I saw the closest store to me on this app was roughly 170 miles away. Also, the menus used for navigation are something I would expect from a website from 1994, not a phone app in 2019.

This app will only work if your local Barnes & Noble is equipped for taking orders via the app. Not all, in fact very few, currently are. So everyone noticing that although you have a B&N 5 miles away but tells you the closest is 60 or more miles away it is because that is the closest store that is equipped for online app ordering. I think they are upgrading more stores in the next few months. Very confusing roll out as it doesnt mention this.

At first the app was working fine, however after I got a new phone and redownloaded it, I've been having problems. One problem is it says the cafe is thousands of miles away as I'm standing in the Barnes and Noble another is it says i have add a payment method even though there is a card on file. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and logout and in several times and it didn't help

There is a limited menu shown and the app is difficult to navigate. Thr app provides few options to customize your drink making it difficult to obtain your usaul coffee. ive ordered twice from the hot coffee tab and i came in to an iced coffee. Overall a waste of time better to just order in store

Pretty horrible app. No map to see locations. Insufficient options to adjust order items (e.g., number of shots of syrup). Insufficient description of items. Offered to sell me a limited edition cookie not sold for months. Not worth keeping on my phone or using even once for the $5 off first order.

I like the idea of the app but in application, its ineffective. I work down the street from a Barnes and Noble and the app was taking me to a BN 50+ miles away! I tried searching my location to choose it and the app wouldn't recognize it and pull it up. even after I put the address it. This app is pretty much useless.

Had this 1) saved my credit card I added to it 10 times and 2) allowed me to complete the order I added 10 times may e this app would have been worth it. Alas, this app is super poorly constructed and taking up space on my phone. It's easier to just go to the counter. Try again.

Lacks many customization options. Only has 4 syrup flavors even though the cafe has about 15 to choose from, needs a comments box for things like requesting no berries, extra ice, syrup drizzle on the cup etc. If you don't modify your drinks much its okay, but otherwise you can't use it.

The app won't let me update any of my information. It currently has my entire profile blank and it won't let me update my name, number or input my B&N membership information.

Very limited BN locations. The closes one it says is around me is 126 miles away when in reality there's one about 3 miles away. It won't or can't locate that store so the app is useless and I am uninstalling.

Lots of bugs. I'll set up my order and my cart will still appear empty. Even simple stuff like editing my profile picture will crash the app.

It can be limited on customization options for some drinks which is very disappointing. But what upsets me the most is my membership will not be applied. It says 10% applied but takes nothing off. It is too much of headache.

Terrible. No way to customize the simplest of drinks. I was hoping this would save me time when on my break, but no. It doesn't allow removal of sweetener or addition of cream to iced coffee. That's all I want.

What a horrible app. It needs to be more engaging like the Starbucks app. Have some rewards options or something. Invest in better interface. This is also a platform for Barnes and Noble to use to get more customers. Make it easy to sign up for your membership within the app. Bookstores need to evolve into profitable cafes with digital perks for customers to stay relevant. FIX THIS APP PLEASE

Android phone never remembers my location, you can't customize enough or leave comments. I get notifications of coupon deals, but when i click them i get a loading screen that never loads.

Used few times and was handy. But now it doesn't take 10% off total for membership even tho it says membership is applied. Tried reinstalling, still not working. Needs to be fixed or it's pretty much useless for members.

This a great app except if the store doesn't have an item in the order it is rejected... without a reason. If you resubmit the order and try to guess what they don't have it is a bother to the employees and to us. Can you just fill the order with what you do have or indicate why the order was rejected? Otherwise, this is great!

Now totally useless and pointless since my local Barnes and Noble got rid of a lot of cafe workers due to the pandemic. Plus, employees are either too busy or lazy to check for mobile orders making "skipping the line" utterly pointless since I have to get in line and tell them about the mobile order. Also it does not have ALL the items that are actually in the cafe listed and frequently breaks at my local Barnes. Uninstalling!

needs work.. I ordered something off the menu and it was sold out in store..would be nice to have a call customer option in case something like this happens in the future.

Order gets rejected without option to accept changes or substitutions. If the location is out of something the app should give you the option to modify or change your order. Instead the order gets rejected and you just have to start the whole thing over again.

No help option. Says my phone number still needs to be verified, but I don't see a way to verify. Won't accept my member number without verifying phone number. App is now useless to me.

Can't locate a closer BN near me. Just shows locations way to far for me to drive to. Uninstalled. Perhaps after they allow new locations to be added then I will install. Until then it's worthless...

Sometimes I order a hot coffee and I get an iced one instead. I know it has to do with the interface because it's switched on me when I go to pay. Please fix this.

No clue how they get the coffee to pour from my phone after I order, but it's a very convenient way to start my day when I need that caffeine boost. Looking forward to the cup update later this year.

won't allow me to add a profile photo as it keeps crashing?? hopefully that will be fixed. otherwise, so far so good

Pretty cool app. Allows me to preorder my coffee and grab it on my break. Itd be nice if I could favorite a particular location though. I always have to search for my cafe.

notifications come in with coupon codes, but messages are truncated and never load once i click on them. android samsung s8 note+
