Baron Critical Weather

I love using the website and have met the creators at my office, however the app will not even open past the cover page. 😑

May 2022 update is great. Widget is good and I the app is much faster now.

Ongoing issue : for 2 months now (10-20-19) the app constantly notifies me that an update is available, but a check of Google Play Store shows NO update. -??? For what I use it for, it is awesome. Which is #1 ability to look at all interacting weather systems together, and #2- be able to use the other areas to set up a "trip wire" of sorts to notify me when weather is moving toward my area. Also lets me tweak my Radar apps for radar, while using this app for added checks.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! It gives constant notifications of rain moving into the area but in reality its clear blue skies with 0% chance. At this very second 8:29am 8-9-19 i am sitting in my truck watching it rain and the radar shows nothing in the area. downloaded another app and it shows the storm perfectly. this app is a piece of junk.

This is my go to weather app. It simply has the best radar. The data is good. But it desperately needs a visual and organizational overhaul. It also needs a performance boost. It is very slow to load on my S21+ with the snapdragon 888. This app is in serious need of an overhaul

I like the app, very useful information, bit i have uninstalled it. For whatever reason, about a weeknor more ago the temp in the tray at the top of the screen began registering 0 degrees. i have emailed Baron support and was told they are aware of the issue. No fix as of yet. I hope it is fixed as i dontjink this is an excellent app. Convince me to come back, Baron!

Description says app has capability of selecting alert notification types. This is false. I can't select anything so I'm getting lightning alerts from 15 miles away, that rain is approaching or storms are entering the area. I will have to remove app because of this. Thunderstorm season is just starting here and my phone is going to be spammed with alerts. I'm not going to sit and delete a bunch of garbage. EDIT: I've had to delete 3 unwanted alerts while writing this.

I use this app every day. The composite radar is nice, not having to select radar sites, and the free ENTLN overlay is also a great touch. The BTI tags are informative, if you're familiar with BTI, and the specific alerts work as expected. One thing I would like to see added - Anyone who knows Baron, knows Baron's product line, and what they're well-known for. The voice alerts are missing. Baron, you know exactly the ones I'm talking about. Can a future update finally tack the "strong storm" voice warning onto dangerous storms, and the "twisting storm" voice warning onto twisting storms? Maybe throw in those nice rotation indicators? I would say that yeah, that's advanced stuff, and if you want Baron and advanced in the same place, you'd get Threat Net, but let's be real - No one can afford that, and even Threat Net doesn't have those alerts.

I had this app recommended to me, and I really like it. It's extremely responsive. The map is so much quicker to load/use than any other weather app too. Notifications are also geat and easy to customize. Good job Baron!

So disappointed in whatever the developers did to my beloved Baron!!! I live in Oklahoma, I don't have time for crashing weather apps. I used to LOVE THIS APP. I downloaded it because a review had a response that the crashing was fixed. It is not.

While I want the critical weather alerts I preferred when Saf-T-Net sent SMS alerts as those could be set to read out loud and would Wake me making them very effective. The app... not so much.

I really like this app. I find it to be much easier to use and has less commercial distractions than the weather apps connected to TV stations.

Exactly the same as John McLaughlins Storm Hunter app. Except his offers Iowa covering Local Doppler single site capability as well as Doppler velocity and Baron button products, whereas this only offers national composite imagery. Nexrad Single site and velocity and specialized products in the radar tab would be a very nice addition even if as a premium feature. Same for GOES 16 data and MESO sector data. This just provides a general overview of weather right now can be so much more though

It keeps crashing, Everytime I open it closes.... I love this app, and I would of rated 5 stars if this didn't keep happening! I hope it's fixed soon!

I really enjoy the app! It informed when rain was on the way. And I can see warning accrost the world! As of today it's working well although tomorrow the NWS is calling for really bad weather so hopefully I get notified if a bad weather event occures.

Stylo 3 phone; has been acting really wonky, constantly force closing, etc. Love the app, just wish it was consistent. Please fix.

Good information when it works..it crashes and asks me to close app. I can try again and it may do the same again. I may try again and then it open.

This app is frustrating. It crashes every time I try to look at the radar. If you fix this, I would rate it higher.

Going to uninstall. No FAQ, site under construction. Can't find a way to disable the buzzer, so away with the bad app. I was hoping for a good one

The alert goes off every few minutes. Have to uninstall for my own sanity. I really wanted to like this app.

I love this app and use it frequently. Only since my phone software updated the app wont load. You need to update the app.

Best weather app... I'm glad you fixed the issue quickly, that crashed the app last weekend.

App was 5 stars & worked great until last update on 8/19. Now it won't open & stay open even after Uninstalling & reinstalling.

status bar temperature says 0 deg. all the time so uninstalled it. also needs wind gusts added to wind speed
