The app is ok. I am happy I finally found my password because when I requested a password reset link, the app sent me an expired link. That's an issue. Also, it's unclear how secure the app page is where you enter your card. It's a pretty basic app and could be improved a little. Also, it would be good if I could pay via PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay, or other payment service, again, because I dislike entering my card info into the app.
Much better! We tried to use the app in the past but it said we were outside of the delivery area, even though there is a location 2 miles away that delivers to our neighborhood (we just had to call on the order because the app wouldn't work.) now the app allows us to place the order which is way more convenient. Thanks for fixing the bug! We love Barros Pizza!
Does everything it needs to and does it well! However, I have run into one bug - I think when I selected to have an order delivered at a future time, that value was saved, so when I went to set an order for a future time in April, I was only able to select days from March. I cleared the app storage and it worked, but I had to re-enter my payment info and stuff. Not the worst, but something that will become a bit of a nuisance if I have to repeatedly fix it.
The revision of this app is good, but there are certain points in the app that appear to be untested. For example, I have multiple cards saved and when you select one, it looks like it checks the bottom one, even if you click the top. I have no idea which card I just used to buy dinner. update: improvements are being made!
App is getting better, but still has consistent crashes. I understand this is a local chain, but if they had better online order functionality I would order more often. When the app crashes multiple times on opening I'm more inclined to get worse pizza due to convenience. I hope they can get this squared away so I can enjoy more of their awesome pizza!
Very basic. Gets the job done quickly but it is far too simple. It would be nice to have a tracking feature on it like every single other pizza delivery app. Or at least confirm that the order has been placed. I have to close the app and open my email to confirm that it went through and to see the estimated delivery time. Hire a ux designer to get it sorted out.
It's missing the option to add notes like the website. Needed to leave a note about the wings, but couldn't as it was missing, so canceled order and had to use a browser. Defeats purpose of the app. Update. Tried the app again, it almost setup delivery to wrong place. Had to cancel order and start over to switch addresses. Still missing notes, tried in instructions at checkout but they didn't read it right and messed up the order. Either use browser or just pick another app for something else.
It's a bit difficult to work with, especially when trying to order a split pizza or when you want to choose both of something, instead of one or the other. It's hard to tell if you're ordering a split pizza correctly; it'd be easier if the two halves were done on separate pages so there's no confusion. Also, there should be an option to choose multiple dipping sauces for wings.
Love it. Makes it super easy to place my order and its easy to use. Just make sure that if you are ordering differently than usual (for instance as pick up rather than the normal delivery) make sure you put that in the comments. I ordered and was late picking after a HS football game and they delivered it thinking I messed up while ordering. Which is actually awesome that they pay that much attention to their customers.
Pizza is fabulous, the app could use some work. Hitting the back button takes you all the way to the beginning. It's hard to navigate at first but once you figure out the back button is a no go, you figure it out. It would be nice if I change my mind on a certain item, I could hit the back button to go to the previous window rather than start the whole order process over.
User friendly app. Allows you to pick order with ease. You can make corrections easy and add to existing order without complications. Pictures are great and add a nice touch so you can see what you're ordering. Also the best feature is you can save your previous order in case you want to order the same thing again with ease.
App works well enough, but there's not much reason to use it over the website. Payment fields don't use a standard API, so I have to enter card details every time. The icon is poorly designed, and the aspect ratio of the logo on the loading screen is completely off; the whole thing just feels like it's done by a cheap, amateurish developer. But I get delicious pizza in the end, so at least there's that, I guess. TL;DR: Barro's good, app meh.
Connectivity issues with the app while trying to create an account. I had to resubmit several times and I kept getting error messages. Finally got through the process and images loaded slowly. Aside from that, the app was easy to use and I was able to process an order without issue
The app lacks polish, and it also makes parts of the ordering process more complicated than it should be. There are elements that look like they still have the variable name instead of a description, and when choosing a sauce, it seems redundant. But overall, it gets the job done.
The food is great but the app needs work. It doesn't send me an email with a code to access my account (and reset my password). It only gives one option - deliver at front door - when I ask for delivery. My front doorbell doesn't work and none of us hear knocks on it. Other apps allow you to give instructions for delivery.
Garbage app! Won't allow use of previous fill ins, can't copy/paste usual things, app shuts down too easily when it's incorrect. Couldn't finish even signing up. Maybe if there was a real programmer on the UI then it could be even half assed! Not impressed. I'll keep my safety and just order from better places. #notworththerisk
Default location bug. Keeps changing to default store location even after I select a different store. This requires me to change location in checkout, which clears my cart... and I have to start order over again. Otherwise it's a great app. Lots of choices. And the pizza is good too!
Basically the website in an app. The app is convenient and isn't slow, which is nice. But it is also bland and made cheaply (not many shadows, old icons). I give it 4 stars because it does everything I need it to, and quickly, just wish it looked a bit better and felt smoother.
Honestly, just as good as the apps for all other pizza chains and better than trying to order pizza from Uber Eats half the time (depending on the restaurant). Everyrhing you could ask for for pizza ordering to make even the most difficult special order covered. Area for extra sauce, sides, ordering extra crispy or well done. Looks like they included everything and that is coming from someone that is particular when it comes to ordering. Been waiting a long time to be able to order online for Barro's, and it was worth the wait.
Keep getting a bug when trying to select side sauces and stuff, something about being unable to allocate bytes to ome or something. Just comes up with a blank page after and have to back out. It happend when trying to modify a previously saved order. Next time I'll try to remember to take a screenshot and post it.
Entering cc data is extra frustrating because of a lag between selecting an option and getting a response from the app. This makes everything about all of the HungerRush apps quite frustrating, but especially the payment section. The app will fet confused and think I'm trying to submit an order without data, when really I'm just trying to fill out the form. It's quite maddening. HungerRush apps for other restaurants in my area will take forever simply to log in. Again, maddening.
The app was ok until it suddenly stopped working. You can't login, your orders don't go through even if you can, and it's still full of bugs and glitches like not being able to place a future order and menu items completely missing from the app even though they are available at the restaurant. Have the developers abandoned this app?
*Update* my previous issue with the app not recognizing any of my addresses has been fixed. I was contacted by the company and they manually put my address in. Hopefully their system gets fixed so that this doesn't need to be manually done every single time someone has a problem. No matter how I enter my address I cannot get it to allow me to order delivery. I'm within 6 Mi of a store and it always says there's no stores in my area
Plain and simple, i like it. Just wish for a button on the selections to explain just what it means. Ex. Welldone if i put light does it mean lightly done or just a little longer? Is normal welldone a few minutes longer or cook it normally? OR you could simplify it and just put it as doneness (light, normal, little more, welldone, very welldone)
Design wise the app it's terrible. But they make it easy to customize and choose what I want. If you go reply to someone mid order or use the wrong back button then you have to restart your entire order
No real way to track, won't let you pay with cash but makes it seem like its an option, I love that you can tip with cash, if trying to schedule a delivery for future it doesn't even have the current date on it. For example I wanted one for 2/23/22, but the most recent day available was the 20th? I can't save my card to the app. Honestly works a lot better than it USED to. It almost feels as if one of their employees made it rather than a company. First time I was certain my card would be stolen
**Update Getting much better. Glitches are fixed and sign in is working.. This app is difficult to use. Does not update password. Always have to sign in as a guest. When you click on next, you then have to arrow down to see the next line. Typo in the CC# resulted in having to re-enter all the info again, not just correct that 1 number.
Seems pretty straight forward not many things that can be done but order or look at menu. Big peeve was that if I clicked the back button on my phone instead of the back button from the app it made me restart my order from the beginning starting with name and address
Works pretty well, slightly harder to use than web site, particularly editing an existing order. Also no way to resize text so hard to use on a phone (using tablet & barely able to read cart).
Frustrating process. It would be nice if you could select everything without clicking next for every option. And when trying to select extra sauce for 24 wings, with 2 different flavors, you get an error notification that only 2 selections are allowed. I have to put "extra sauce please" in the special instructions. If you accidentally close out of the app before completing the order, it empties your cart and you have to start all over. It could really use some improvements!
