I purchased it based on the promise of V8 which never happened. I am sticking with RFO-Basic (aka: BASIC!) for apps that don't require the speed of native code (vast majority) and B4A (now free) for when I need the extra performance.
Excellent version of basic, i have been working with it and find it quick and complete. It does seem that development has stopped as there hasn't been any updates your a year and a half
Not been updated for over a year. Shame
There are bugs that need to be worked around, the documentation/help files could be better with more small examples for using some of the instructions. I had problems posting on the developers forum when using the browsers on my android devices but posting through the browser accessed from the mintoris app seems to work better.
It is sad to see that Mintoris Basic is currently in limbo. There is a workaround to get the local Help files back by using an ebook reader. I use Moon+ Reader Pro (other ebook readers are available) to create a shortcut from the local file 'Mintoris/Reference/Basic.html' to the home screen. The result is not as clean as the built in html reader and all html links have to be followed from the Help home screen but it is better than nothing. It is currently working on Android 10 this way.
I am taking back my rating to 3 stars because of flow control problems please fix the various problems with my abilitu to control the prpgram flow control as I would like to, like for instance i cannot use a go to right after a then command.. and it complains saying I should use a gosub instead I use a gosub. then it complaons that I have an end without a gosub or gosub without an enf sub.. please fix this and the abilities for recursion and the ability for hard coding etc like the ability to... well it is back to 5 stars thanks to the VERY big decimal number support!!!(I just need to work out the bugs in this program that calculates PI...
talk about a feature rich Basic programming language!! I've been programming in Basic since the early 80's and this is just stunning. Would love to see this dialect available on the PC.
Like programming my first computer back in the early eighties, except I can do anything I can imagine now. Great basic dialect.
Interface changed and I didn't like it. There was no way around to go back to the old one. Sent the developer my feedback and the answer was "Nobody else has complained", which means my opinion is worth nothing. Thankfully, nowadays, there are other "Basics" around.
Make your Android your slave and not otherwise. I see a lot of potential. Thank you! It would be greater if it can compile my codes directly into apks.
What a great app. Options to communicate and control are seemingly endless.

Huge list of commands ranging from quite low-level, such as reading Bluetooth data, to high level sprite commands. Definitely worth paying for the pro version

Within the first few minutes I stumbled upon a message saying my line numbers must be sequential... what!? Isn't the whole point of line numbers so you don't have to go back and tediously move everything? Otherwise, good app. Please update, though! I will change to a 5-star rating if this is fixed!

It is a very flexible computer programming language and sleek platform without any of the hassles or monotony nor requirement of your being sometimes inconveniently in the office hunched over an often unorganized and frequently messy desk...Lol ;-) Excellent work!

This is a feature rich BASIC programming language that runs on Android - my only wish is that it would run on a web server, under Windows, under Linux...I wish I could use it on every platform that I need something like this for. As someone who started programming back in the 70's as a kid on TRS-80s, C-64s, IBM PCs, first withQbasic and moving up to VB6 I've always enjoyed rolling my own code to get something done. As much as I loved those old versions of BASIC, they always were missing something I neede

Superb job by the author , continues updates and all. The product is second to non in the category. BASIC is not a basic !.
With the addition of the export function a great value product is even better. Lots can be learnt from the forum & from the Facebook page. I really never expected this development from a single programmer.
I use it as problem solving tool to create app for my office work. Quite fast to prototype app(my first time project). HTML mode allow creation of neat GUI. I paired it Webmaster app for html creation make programming basic on android so much fun. Hopefully, there will be a better editor built in especially with color syntax.
Looking for a good BASIC for Android, look at something else. Mintoris was a great app, now it is trash. The app has not been updated in years and a few months ago stopped working with a "No Internet Connection" when trying to use the local Reference material. Attempting to the "Update Reference" also fails with a connection failure. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does not fix the issue. The website and support forum are gone.
