If goal is 10,000 steps and my watch says I go over 10,000 when I sync it stays red as if I didn't meet my goal. All data on my watch doesn't always sync, for instance some of my calories log but not all. In a lot of cases it says it synced but when I open the app no data shows up. Trying to get a hold of the basis company is even worse than the app. It's 2015, they should have a phone contact. I wish I would have kept my fitbit.
The advance sensors on the device are nice but the app is horrible. Viewing historical data is non existent. Also all of your data can't be shared with third party apps..... I would suggest waiting for the Jawbone up3 which has all of the features the peak has and considering Jawbones previous apps I'm sure the app for the up3 will be significantly better then this garbage
Finally was able to get one after waiting months for it to be back in stock. I had a hard time getting it set up on My Android phone (4.4.4)ok, impossible as the Android app recognizes the older model. It would not see the Basis Peak. I finally had to use my iPad and them it worked, but I prefer my Android phone as I always carry it. The same went for the Basis Sync I tried to use on my Mac computer, it only has options for the older model and does not recognize the Peak. Please fix.
Rudimentary at best. Shows you data but doesn't do anything useful with it. Doesn't let you share data out to better conceived apps. Very disappointed with the state of basis development. Basis had promised to have an api but has not to date. That means you are stuck with this app. Once you unlock all the habits there is nothing else to do. Fitbit, for example, lets you compete with your network. Now that the battery needs to be charged every 2 days I am shopping for another band and it won't be from basis.
Had the watch for over a year, hasnt worked with 3 androids and no Windows mobile support. I heard the 2nd edition improves on this. Note that IBM owns them they have completely moved on, website works just fine. App score doesn't reflect watch score.
Couldn't yoy have allowed us to view the data, as in the website? But here in the app. Is it so hard to do? Most likely it's really simple. This app doesn't have anything even remotely interesting. AND OMG!! Your sleep analysis is a mess, divided into timed sessions, 2 hours here 30 minutes there, that's why you failed. You did everything wrong in the app. What in this world were you thinking?
The moto xyboard tablet does not connect directly with watch. Wish it would offer more baseline insight (e.g. heart rate for my age and weight). It would be better if they allowed/partnered with other apps to do so.
Absolutely garbage. Paid 200 AUD when the Basis B1 came out and I've decided to re-use the watch again but it won't pair with my Galaxy Note 3 (Marshmallow). Read forums stating that Basis doesn't support Marshmallow. Utterly useless.
This app was leaps and bounds superior to the newer Basis Peak app. Both the B1 & Peak where by far the best fitness trackers out there. I would like to see a new Basis Watch come out and take the connectivity of the Peak app and combine it with B1 apps amazing UI.
Now completely abandoned if favor of Peak. No Google Fit integration, nothing.
So instead of incrementally improving one app you build two and leave the other behind. This is a real disappointment.
Very helpful medical info. Problems synching and a bulky design, but otherwise fantastic and useful!
The graphics are not sufficient relative to the web application and the Bluetooth updates of data need to be able to reset the band memory. The band connector for the B1 is too finnicky on its own. Adding the ability to download your own data would be nice.
The server seems to go offline very often. And it keeps asking for email and password literally every other minute. Wonder why? Shame because the watch is a really good product. Unfortunately, the watch needs the server to be useful.
This is so helpful. It does have glitches from time to time but nothing is perfect. And if you email them they are quick & helpful.
works great! like the consistent U I with website. just wish you could see the activity patterns screens, especially on a phablet
No longer supported on Android 6. If you plan to get a new phone; you will need to go back to syncing via a wire with your desktop. Beware. (I have an S7 with Android 6, Support informs me that they are no longer supporting this app)
The whole thing is a cloud app, and too many times has their service been down. No api, no local cache, no local data processing...nothing but the web with a poor back end.
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY VERSION OF ANDROID GREATER THEN 4.4.4
It just stopped working, no more Bluetooth sync.
After the latest update 10.3.1 this app finally works on my blackberry, I have been crossing my fingers for this since I bought the watch. Great watch now I can use it with the phone I like most
The phone app is good, not as full featured as the web app but has the essentials. I don't like the new, wordy notifications; "good day: wear it" fits on the screen, but "you've had a good day: w..." forces me to open the app :)
Works as advertised, sync is slow and "iffy" at times.
Do you have one that is water proof? I am a swimmer and wondering how do I merge this hour of activity with the device?
This band has really helped me focus on my health.
Asus tablet and it wont hook up to bluetooth. Have no issues with any other bluetooth I use. I'm a bit of a geek so its not me. The basis works as is expected with my iphone but its not happy with tablet. My ipad is fine too. As far as the watch goes its by far the most superior product of its kind on the market, price is too. But you get what you pay for. I would recommend.
