Offensive efficiency and shot charts are great for my AAU team. Some of the advanced stats are really useful. Fast break points are tracked, but they're buggy. I reviewed the games I created and all the fast break information was gone. Showed 0 for both teams. It also showed several of my players as having more minutes per game than there are ACTUAL minutes per game. I'd like to be able to assign opponent pts to one of my players, or to a zone/team defense. Defensive stats are important too.
Good idea and plenty of functions. It takes a while to get used to inputting all the possible data when watching a game but you can easily decide to add less detailed data e.g. adding data on team level rather than player. I'm yet to be able to input all data at game speed but might get there with more practice. Note: I have updated my initial review after receiving SUPERB support from the developer.
I really like Basketball Stats Assistant when they have Brackets, Audio Feeds and Daily Fantasy Sports. I'll have to Rate this a 5 Star and I'm Writing a Review to the public to tell others what you think before Installing it from Google Play Store for Updates, Fix Bugs and Enhancements as well as keeping it Up-To-Date. You have to Improve on your Defense, Ball-Handling Skills and stay on your Man at all times. Getting Feedback is Optional if it needs an upgrade. Tryouts and try making the Team.
The app is intuitive and works great, gives great report. I had a few issues but I contacted Sergio who takes care of the app and he answered fast and well and took care of my two issues. Would recommend
Updated.... Developer answered my questions very well and quickly. Thanks. The ads in the free version are annoying but just found out that I can get the pro version paid without ads. This app is really good. It is simple and quick to record stats. The problem with other apps like this is that they are too cumbersome and too many buttons to push to keep accurate stats during an already fast paced game. It's worth the download to try it out.... then if you like it get the paid version without ads.
Ran it up first time. With only a little practice, found it easy to use at a fast pace. A suggestion .. when a field goal or 3-pointer is made, the app prompts to credit an assist. In some instances, there is no assist, but a choice for "No Assist" is unavailable. Please add this option. Otherwise, good stuff here Sergio. I like it what you've developed here.
Fantastic app. Very helpful. It has all the stats that a coach need to see how is his/her team so to become better and better and to train more effeciently. The only negative in this app is that it's very difficult to keep the stats live in a game because of catch and draw system that it has. It could be better and faster if you could just click some buttons.
Super easy for me to score recorded games. Im using Premium Version. - would love the ability to save game to later, reload and continue scoring. - for me there is an on again off again, working of court shot clusters being displayed correctly on the court. I can work with these difficultes now that I am aware of them but ultimately prefer additions or fixes. - I wonder if their is a menu I dont know how to access.... Excellent easy feature descriptions. For dummies a more detailed one?
The app is well designed and I was happy to discover it. However, it loses its importance when you have to pay to see the stats of more than one game. Perhaps you could make it up to 30 games for the free version, because there is no sense when I cannot see the score or the stats after 1-2 matches. When this happens, the Teams' and player stats are lost. I know you guys have to earn money, but please extend the number of games available in the free version. Thank you for your attention.
Amazing app to record stats and view analysis of each basketball game. The developer was very responsive to my questions. Highly recommended.
Excellent product! The game works seamlessly even with the NBA game and⁷ the very fast ABA basketball game. The most impressive thing is when you post that there is something wrong with the app, the he fixes it immediately. There is a very cosmetic detail that needs to be done, but as soon as he adds video, this will be one of the top products on the market.
Best basketball stats app out there. Very responsive developer as well. I use this for my son's multiple teams without any issues and share with his coaches easily. Love the PDF report in the new version. Premium option is affordable and the way to go if you want to save unlimited games. Hopefully others will sign up so the developer can continue to improve it.
The analysis after the game is great! More than what we need. It is a little challenging keeping up with all the stats during the game. Our stat keeper does a pretty good job. This would be perfect if watching a video afterwards so you can pause and record the stats.
Really cool app that has a lot of different options for all the different stats in a game. You can pick and chose what stats you want to record. I had a question on season standings and support replies very quickly. Highly recommended!
Update...dealing with a bsa file archive when sending stats to email is onerous...please chose another zip format or just plain xls. Only thing really missing is a timeouts counter Further update: Now that i actually understand how it works i give it 4 stars... I have a slight issue with all my players not being called up to the game but usually solved by reloading...great app.
When calling up players for my eight player team, it keeps missing two or three. Only allowing part of the team to show up. Tried resetting, saving, resetting, saving, etc and still didn't show entire team.
tried several in game live stats apps on android and iOS...tbis is by the far the best...ease of use (with some learning curve) and nice array of stats and graphics at the end of the game. ...i like this so mucb that i use it on my phone because its that good, even though id rsther use an ipad app due to screen size. there is no comparison. developer is also quick to respond to questions
So far this app has been AMAZING. I do have a few issues with exporting the PDF, since the player names do not show up when I export the file for the individual charts from the game report. I'm not sure if this is by design as a currently free user or if this is a bug. Another option that I would like to possibly suggest would be the option to toggle off the minutes from the stats category. Since the game clock on the app is not synced to the actual game clock it is not useful for our program
