Bass Chords & Scales (free)

I cannot recommend this app enough to people who need to find scales or chords. Amazing app. Just be aware that you will probably need at least a little bit of music theory to understand some of this. If there was one criticism I would have, it would be that the chord shapes only work for a standard tuned 4 string bass, but if you have an up to 6 string bass with an odd tuning (a fourth up or down) you can still see the chord shapes. BEST APP EVER

My experience on using your app is one of gratitude. I was about to buy guitar pro 7.5 version ONLY for the chord notes and structure and then I came across your app. It's perfect and I would need 1000 lives to play each scale in there as so much to learn. Visually buttons are a bit small on my tablet. Lots of empty space that could accommodate larger, user friendly buttons. Content is good.

This is a absolutely wonderful app to learn new scales. I'm thankful that's it free, although I would've paid 5 bucks for it.

Great tool

Good app for learning. I like the fact that you can change the string number and retune however you want. My only complaints are that the chords only work for a 4 string in standard tuning, and that for the scales it doesn't go past the 14th fret. I am terrible with notes and have learned completely with tabs, so knowing which fret corresponds to what note is a bit confusing to me. Still, very helpful.

Very useful app. The one thing I would ask to add, is that the notes are highlighted during playback. That will show the sequence, and if possible, the correct tempo to play them on the bass. As it is now, they are just static, and only the root note is of a different color.

I had to leave a comment for this , its unreal for somone just delving into theory this a godsend , having access to scales from styles from all around the world is something else .

This is just what I needed! Being able to pick number of strings is the icing on the cake. Chords/Scales you name it. Great intro to some theory. Thank you so much for this. Very helpful indeed. You rock.

This is great, for just wanting to know the notes in a scale, and you have all the diff scales as well. All the YouTube vdos on scales - too much bla bla, this app is great! Suggestion for future upgrades - two octave scales? For us 5 string players - It's great for starting on the B string. Also, if you can make the playback have a repeat function?

Great app! Just love the 6-string option ... would be perfect if chords are available for the 6-string bass as well
