Has a small footprint but is large on function. I don't usually like mixing animation with tech , but in this case it works especially well. My eyesight isn't what it was, but the little battery guys face tells me all I need to know about the shape my battery is in without scrutinizing all kinds of specs that I can't do anything with anyway. The service is exceptional . Do yourself a favor and install this app before Google gets hold of it. You can show your support by opting for the pro version
Great app on paper. Being a tiny app size is a bonus. However the dealbreaker for me is that there's no way to stop the alarms after a little while. So this app isn't ideal for quiet situations (even in a pandemic you sleep with your own family). For example, don't wanna go and do chores then find out everyone's awake because the phone won't shut up bc low battery. The app being functional and bare-bones is understandable, but a label explaining the bottom buttons would be very helpful as well.
At first I thought this was a good app but I'm uninstalling this, as it's unfair that you have to buy the pro version to gain the facility to change the notification tone. The tone chosen for the free version is the same tone for person approaching on my security camera at home. That is not acceptable. This makes the app too inflexible to keep with it. If I could have properly assessed it I'd have been happy to upgrade.
Hey man, I like the app, is very good and practical too, just one more thing I would suggest, even though I'm not a techie, but what l would add on the app, it is a live animation of the battery fluid inside being flexible as it charges or defleating like waves flowing from side to side, like that of a ocean wave, and some bubbles showing up and steadily boiling as you insert the charger, I think that would make a very nice to see animation. Well, other than anything, it's a cool app, big'thumbs
Alarm works perfectly for both full and low levels. The voice alarm provided is a true asset, very clear and comfortable without the annoying repetitive ring tone(s) other apps. Plus, there is no mistaking whether it is time to plug into a charger or disconnect from it.
Excellent app with just one issue.. Reminder works fine for low and high battery, but issue is sometimes when battery drains below lower threshold value at midnight, the alarm keeps sounding disturbing the sleep. To avoid this, there should a setting to disable voice alert during silent mode and during some specific times (e.g. 11pm to 6am) which should be configurable by the user.
It's simple and functional without all the BS involved with so many apps. My only issue is with the "notification". It needs to stay on the screen until acknowledged. It vibrates and flashes on the screen only once assuming you have the voice/sound off. It's easy to miss. Still a great app. I use a Samsung S9.
I regard it as one of the best app in its category since it is small in size, has no ads, and also has alarm for low battery. I have some suggestions. 1) Allow user to choose which sound stream to use, or use alarm stream by default. Currently it uses media stream. If you have media volume set to very low, alarm would not be heard. 2) The app could advise users to disable battery optimization for reliable alarms. 3) Remove option to close app. Have an option to enable/disable the app instead.
UPDATED REVIEW: Just updated this app. The "Show/Hide Icon" setting is gone in the free version. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Lightweight. Loving this. One page to configure. Question please. I have the sound set on 10s (default). Why am I getting repeating alarm? Shouldn't it repeat for 10s and then stop? EDIT: I now understand. It repeats every 10s. I now have it set on 30s. Thanks so much for a very useful, fun-looking app.
It is great to warn of low battery and to alert you to disconnect the charging cable when almost fully charged. Recently the little orange notification circle with the battery percentage has disappeared. I found it useful as easier to see than the tiny numbers at the top of the screen. I do have the pro version thank you, but can not find the Badge or icon setting.
So far this is the best battery alarm I've tried from the many others I've tried. Love the no ads. Very little battery consumption. Very simple to use. My only small suggestion would be to have an option on the app to stop the alarm rather than just having to unplug or plug in the cable. What I have to do now is close the app and restart the app so this option would make it much more convenient but other than that keep up the good work Dev. Thanks
It's a great little app, it works as described, no ads, no fuss, which I love. I only have one complaint: The low battery notice keeps going off again and again and can't be stopped unless you plug the phone in. I tried swiping, checking settings, opening the app, nothing would make it stop other than plugging it in. Fix that one annoyance, and you'll have 5 stars.
Love this app. Just exactly what I was looking for to control when the battery recharges and how much according to percentage of charge state. Does what it is supposed to do. Simple. Easy to operate. I have no issues with it. Tried a few others which either completely failed or missed the mark by just abit. This one makes me happy. Set it and forget it. There is another one that looks a lot like this one; but, believe me, it is nowhere near the same. Thanks for a well planned app.
Finally an app that works properly with a new and not fully released phone like mine (Samsung M30s). It warns me of the low limit and high limit even while on standby / screen off and you can make the alarm nag constantly which is much appreciated as I don't always hear it but I do wish I had the option to set the low limit to a one time alarm / notification as it's not as important for me as my battery lasts a really long time (10% drain / day). Has other battery features too which is nice.
Wonderful app for those with sight impairments. This app "tells" me when it's time to charge my battery, and when charging is complete. And, it keeps reminding me, at an internal that I set, so I don't forget to plug or unplug. This app also lets me charge from 20% to 83%- or whatever I set, hopefully keeping my battery in top shape. The developer is wonderful, and seems to be awaiting any message I have, with a swift response and a solution to anything I'm confused about. A+ must have for app!
The app is very simple and uses very little resources. All i wanted is for the app is to alert me when battery is low-- i set it at 33%. The same when charging the phone, the app alerts when it's 83% full. The voice alert is something i really like. No ads. For what it is intended, it delivers completely.
Good for what it does and no more. Doesn't tell you when you insert or remove the charger, meaning it doesn't let you know if you have a good connection. It only has 2 levels, high and low. Sometimes you don't hear the 1st warning and this doesn't have other alerts. I'm giving it 4 stars, although it doesn't have all what I need on a battery alert. Plus, I can't use my paid voices like you can with other apps.
Great app. I don't like to charge my battery all the way in order to extend its life but sometimes I forget about it after I have plugged it in. This app alerts me when the phone has been charged to the level I had set. No ads too!! Not often you find that these days.
This app is the best. Everything we need to save our battery life. Voice alerts for Minimum level and Maximum charge. If it had a temperature voice alert it would be perfect. At least it is not too many alerts and ads poping up every few seconds, like a some I have tried Thank you Mr. Vujacic for providing a very important app to keep our phone batteries alive a longer. I have recommended it to my friends. Excellent work.
I've tried a handful of battery charging apps which I uninstalled quickly for various reasons. I specifically wanted a battery app I could depend on to alert me whenever my presets were reached. Other apps I tried were less than reliable. I also wanted an app that would continue to alert me until I manually dismissed the alert. This alarm does this without subjecting me to additional unnecessarily features or ads. Highly recommended.
Battery Alarm app does exactly what it is supposed to do, does it with precision & grace if that were possible at all for an inanimate thing to accomplish. What I mean to say is that once the basic parameters are set by the user there certainly will be an audible alert to the point of distraction but that's no small price to pay for being able to not overcharge or undercharge. And yes it's no less true there are no known ads. Just as satisfyingly useful on Android 10 UI 2.5 as Android 7.1.1
I wrote before that this app took over my ringtone because I lost the ringtone twice when I had this installed. Several hours after I uninstalled it for the second time I lost the ringtone again. So it is not this app that is causing it. I am using a custom ringtone that worked on other phones, and there is no reason why it should not work on my pixel 2. But it keeps reverting to a simple tone. Sorry for the bad review of this app before.
The app works great I have had it in use for probably 3 months. Only 2 times on phone reboot did it not start the app properly. When this happens you will notice the notification does not display any data. Open the notification then it works properly. It definitely keeps you from an overcharged battery. I do like the app
New phone does not notify me when battery charged. Just keeps on charging once it hits 100%. This really is a life saver. Set it to a minimum of 20% and a maximum of 85%. Battery should last a lifetime with a charge cycle like this. Cheers for putting the work into to the free version. Will definitely be buying the paid version to show some support.
Only has voice alert when charged. If phone is in silent mode no alert. Makes it non usable for charging at night when you might be sleeping. Edit; Interesting the app doesn't control the settings you say? My point is I want an alarm tone to alert me, not a voice. Maybe alarm is only for paid subscribers and the free version only gets voice alert.
Wonderful app!! After trying a few different apps that did not work well at all this one is a winner! Love it, love it, love it. Works beautifully well like it's supposed to. Loud and repetitive alarm to help us plug and unplug the battery charger at right moment! Thank you developer for an excellent app. 👍👍💯
Nice, simple and lightweight. All I wanted was a battery charge alarm with no unnecessary features, and this does exactly that. Good clear voice alarm is better, for me, than notification alerts. No ads, no annoying screens, no obsessive stats, just a good app. Thanks to the developer for this.
The persistent alarm is really annoying: especially when it goes off in the middle of the night and you are in bed on a hospital ward. It also has an annoying permanent 'splat' on the app's icon, because it puts an unnecessary note to say that it's working on the lock screen. The only way to clear the splat is to block all notifications, and that also stops the alarm from sounding. There are other battery alarms with higher ratings that don't have these annoyances! App deleted!
