I've been playing this game on and off since launch. I have the founders golden armour and enjoy playing it from time to time. This is a great example of a mobile game that you can play for 20 minutes and put down. My biggest issue is that the later quests frequently involve fighting 10+ battles to complete them. I think this is to incentivize sending energy to friends or purchasing the membership pack but once you have it it does begin to just get a bit fatiguing
it's a wonderful game I love the way the characters look. the only problem I find is that if you can't pass a level and due to you not having enough gear bought there is no way to make money out side of the main story of the game like an endless tower of constantly fighting enemys until you drop and the more you beat the more money you get at the end. only complaint I have. but it's a great game other wise.
Excellent game, very addictive. However I found one major bug, if you sprung for the upgrade, your wins in pvp no longer count, I keep getting a "lives count" error. I beat the game and there's not much to do now but grind to get all the equipment.
Downloaded the game, again, because I was bored, played a few arena matches, only a few because of an error that wouldn't let me enter the PVP mode. I've checked a few hours later and the error still persists. I know that devs have abandoned the game but they could've left it in a better state.
Came back for the nostalgia. Found out why I stopped playing. The energy system is meagre when this game starts to involve a lot of grinding like why should I slay the same opponent 20 times in one quest? Nothing much compelling so this is a game you'd be satisfied for a week and stop playing. There really aren't any bugs I've encountered nor big lag. Many recurring monsters that looks exactly the same throughout the game like I'd be pleased with them customised differently at least.
Good fun game. Only problem is that you finish the levels before upgrading all the equipment. Needs more levels, or add the "Hard Mode" it says should be there. That way you can get all the equipment before finishing the game.
A really fun game, tons of items for customization, cool artworks, and great for time killing. But the minus is the game UI often to bug after some battles, it makes some of the function buttons and menus not working properly. To fix the bug, I must often restarting the game and it's so annoying
This game was pretty fun while it worked, but once I got to the ocean world, it had some real issues. The puzzles for entire levels just stopped loading, and hunor just felt off-kilter, you know? Still if you need a game to pass time, and plenty fun. Would Recommend!
Okay, but pay-to-play. Even if you win every game, you lose energy... Edit for developer's response: compared to other games, you run out of energy much faster and unlike many other games with low energy levels, you lose energy whether you win or lose. I have plenty of games with similar mechanics installed but I couldn't even get into this one before it wanted money to continue playing (hence, pay to play).
Over the last few years I have gotten this game and gotten rid of it. Recently I started my first job so my main issue was quickly resolved, the energy system. I was about half way through but over about 3 weeks was able to complete the game. Its decently funny especially if you understand most of the jokes 6 star! Hats off to the men and women who came together to create this fantastic game.
Pros: No ads, no premium power ups, cute custom character, option to purchase game outright. Cons: Energy system with a very outdated facebook integration (pester your friends for more energy!), overall just feels and looks outdated. The lack of diagonal matches makes gameplay kinda unsatisfying.
Fun, recently on the dragon battles, after tapping on them, the game won't go any further past the intro screen to the battle and seems to lock up. I uninstalled and reinstalled and on the 60mb download, connected to WiFi or on cell phone data it does the same thing. Game is unplayable now. So I'm uninstalling.
Three stars for cute content, descent graphics and game play. Would be 5 stars if once you reach certain levels you wouldn't have to wait 10 minutes to continue to play for each step without paying for full energy. Uninstalled due to this factor.
It's a good game, I like the part of creating your own hero at the beginning. The only thing that would make it better is make it so you can do diagonal moves on the board. Like, make it so you can link the gems diagonally, that would greatly improve the game.
Oh finally I discovered a fair offline playable match 3 game. Will buy the unlimited turns set. Can't you please make a new one? The humor is great, artwork looks better than many other mobile titles. Just the screen size is not optimal on newer form factors.
The game is fun and I've always loved Adventure Quest so the graphics are nostalgic, there's some good puns that make the story fun to follow. I just wish there was diagonal movement while actually playing the game. That would make it worth 5 stars.
I saw this game and was immediately overjoyed. I have both a Guardian account on OG Adventure Quest and an amulet in Dragon Fable, and have played pretty much every game by Attic Entertainment. You all do amazing work, I find myself bugged on Battle Gems though I went into a pvp match, my opponent never loaded and it goes back every time I try to go into PVP. If this is a known issue, is there a fix for it?
I love match up games and this takes it up a notch with the clever naming conventions for their characters and the numerous puns. You also get a pet that does damage and the damage types get upgrades just like your main. So much fun and genuinely difficult as you level up.
Thanks for fixing the loading screen bug. I miss my childhood that's why I decided to play again. AdventureQuest Worlds was one of your best games that I still love. Keep the goodwork! Battle On!
this would have been great if you kept the original game with the original accounts and just ported it over to mobile. Maybe with a twist like the gem matching to kill the enemies. But this is just a candy crush clone. meh. edit: haha sorry sorry im sure its a decent game but its just sad to see such a nostalgic game turned into... you know what its cool that the art has lived on.
When I downloaded the game and start up my character my character wouldn't appear, and if my character didn't appear I couldn't actually play the puzzle part. I played this game in the past and was really fun. Just wish I could play it again.
Again! I'm just gonna assume the A in Artix stands for awesome. Fun little puzzle game. F2p and the puns...I swear y'all have a direct line to my funny bone. Thank you for making gaming fun again. You get to the top with skill not money. Which nowadays seems like a lost art. Bravo again Artix! Completely deserve all stars and more.
I would never have put the words adventure quest in the title. It may be dressed the same, but is just a copycat connection game, with energy wait times to encourage micro transactions . I want the old school adventure quest, and this is just disappointing.
I've always loved the adventure quest games, been playing this one off and on throughout the years... Always easy to play, enjoyable, and never frustrating. All the characters, costumes, and jokes keep me going throughout the levels, and I love the twist on the match system, with the power sets that can completely change up gameplay. Absolutely a blast to play.
