Battle of Guadalcanal (free)
This is a free 20-turn-version of Conflicts: Battle of Guadalcanal, a turn based strategy game set on and around the island of Guadalcanal in the Pacific theater during the Second World War.
You are in command of the first major American amphibious offensive in the Second World War, aimed at seizing the island of Guadalcanal on which Japanese are building an airfield. You must use your naval forces to secure the constant flow of reinforcements and supplies to troops on Guadalcanal, while trying to prevent Japanese from doing the same.

+ Tablet friendly strategy game: Automatically scales the map for any physical screen size/resolution from small smartphones to HD tablets, while settings allow you to fine tune hexagon and font sizes.
+ Good AI: Instead of just attacking on direct line towards the target, the AI opponent understand encircling, smaller tasks, etc.
In order to be a victorious general, you must learn to coordinate your attacks in two ways. First, as adjacent units give support to an attacking unit, keep your units in groups in order to gain local superiority. Secondly, it is rarely the best idea to use brute force when it is possible to encircle the enemy and cut off its supply lines instead.

stupid game impossible to win japanese destroyed american fleet with no losses, unamerican bias from the finnish developper, text-based game, poor tiny graphics, no tutorial, leave this game to communists

Almost perfect.please try to make differnt ship types like the norway game instead of having cruisers like destroyers.

Don't install so bad game
Other than the old Avalon Hill's Guadalcanal I haven't seen too many games on this subject. Mr Nuutinen has done another excellent and elegant design. Bravo and kudos. Yes, the U.S. fleet gets hammered. Haven't you Mr. Noyb read the history of the campaign? As a gamer you've got to figure out a way to extricate them. I await your design that does better than Mr. Nuutinen. Nyob Nyob it's been 2yrs we await your design.
