An original and a classic. Back when mobile games were few in numbers, this game really stood out from the rest. Very fun and completely offline. It's something you can enjoy whenever you have time, no matter where you are. Definitely recommend this game to everyone who is even slightly interested in RPG games. Cute little characters with satiating gameplay, it's hard not wanting to keep playing.

First off I just want to say I really, really wish Mika would develop something with this art style again!!!!! Regardless, lovely lovely mobile game. Only things are selecting characters can be difficult and it's too darn short now! Have played through it probably four times at this point. Every time I've gotten a new phone since it came out on the iPod touch

Cute art style, challenging and fun to play! I hope this game make more level and new heroes, because I'm 20 now and I tried playing it again and it is easier for me. Compared to when I was younger, I'm having a hard time beating each level. It would be fun to play again with new level, heroes, and bosses

Interesting game, pretty simple. Pretty small learning curve. A few components where unclear in how they worked, but you figure them out eventually. The game fails in its controls, especially at later levels. You are expected to make quick movements with little margin for error. The issue is that selecting and moving units is tough, especially when your characters are overlapping. Changing the unit target also takes a lot of movement. Makes it tough to play on larger screens.

Downloaded this game years ago when it came out, only just found it again after all this time and it's been so nostalgic playing again. There's a good amount of characters to choose from, most with their own unique playstyle, skills, and items they can equip. There are no idle/auto functions in the game which is a welcome change to most other mobile games available at the moment, and NO MICROTRANSACTIONS! You can play the whole game for free. A brilliant game that is worth downloading.

I absolutely LOVE this game. I've looked long and hard for a free or cheap game without ads -- this 100% fits the bill. The animation is adorable. The game play is interesting, engaging, and challenging. I love the different elements of game play: lots of characters to choose from, so many items to upgrade and/or purchase to equip to characters, special abilities, and different levels with increasingly difficult villains. It's simple, yet so sophisticated. What an awesome job! I'd give 10 stars!

great little game. quick to hop into the next fight, I don't mind the lack of story as I'm playing a FREE game not reading a book. the gameplay is fun and the boss battles can be intense. . 1. I wish the health bars were permanent.. 2. the characters can be hard to grab if in a big bunch, I have died a few times simply because I wasn't able to get the right unit from the bunch. be nice if you had a display picture of each unit, so you click on that to select the unit instead. my only issues.

A really good game overall! My only complaint, for which reason I've deducted a star, is the character stack issue. There needs to be another way to select the character you want to maneuver when they're all huddled together in a spot. Maybe small character portrait icons in the lower left? Touch and highlight the character you want to move or whose abilities you want to use for that character only.

The graphics are great and so is the gameplay. The gameplay is simple yet challenges your strategic planning. The only problem I have is when I'm trying to heal a unit but that unit is beside another unit, it gets confusing at those times. My suggestion is showing the units' healthbar when ordering the healer around. Otherwise, the game is great!

Great game, zero intrusive elements (ads, notifications, etc). The interface could use some improvements, like a better way to select units, and more consolidated menus so you don't have to bounce around so much. That said, the style is cute and thematically solid, and the battles do benefit from strategic decisions. Great work devs

The controls get a little annoying when your troops stack up and if you retreat from the arena you dont get anything. Got to wave 70 something in the arena and only had my healer left so i retreated to save a few seconds. Im just trying to kill time but all that effort was wasted. Otherwise its fun to micro and use the different classes. I'd like to be able to see what gear was equipped in the keep for when i like to move my accessories or armors around some characters.

Cute and there's something there, but it's so difficult to control more than two people at a time, especially with enemies on the screen. It's more stressful than fun trying to get them all moved around. If the enemies came from just one direction, you could make a frontline. Or if there were icons were you could select the heroes. But trying to select the right object on the battlefield, and then to get it to act the way you want, isn't simple.

With my problems I'm visiting hospital quite often. This game makes my staying here much more enjoyable. It requires skill to play, doesn't hold your hand throughout the game, let's you customise your squad to your liking. I recommend it for everyone who looks for a challenging game with progression and strategy and can be played with short sessions.

Wonderful game, I just wish it was easier to control the characters. For example sometimes when wanting to heal your tank you send your healer running in that direction instead. Or sometimes you can't select a certain character because there's another standing partially on top of them. Other than the limitations of the simplistic control system and not knowing which characters are the best to invest time leveling, I really enjoyed this game and put several hours in it.

I easily dropped 6-8 hours into the main campaign and I really enjoy the multitasking it requires you to concentrate on. While you have four Heroes to choose from to take into battle I personally found it just a little bit overwhelming for me and when I attempted the same campaign with just three Heroes it was a perfect balance. I think that's just where my difficulty is at, but for many players it may be perfect to have four. I really enjoyed the ability 2 customize party.

Outstanding. Following sequels are garbage. This one doesn't have post game value, but I have fond memories of playing while listening to Evanescence as a tween. I like the art style, the gameplay, and the love that went into this game. I couldn't feel that in the sequels. If there is to be a fourth, emulate the art and play style of the original, but improve on its details and depth, and build upon its post game. Improve the arenas, try for both co-op and competitive multiplayer.

5 out of 5, would recommend. This game has many heros to choose from to assemble your team and fight through many levels to reach the final boss. The game doesn't penalize you for changing heros because after winning a level you can revisit that level without diminished xp or gold gain. There are too many games that progress you through levels but revisiting those levels gives you nothing to help you level or to afford making the higher levels easier. This game is a refreshing change.

Controls need some serious tuning, making them more than just "touch & drag" for every non-static action. Controling multiple party members is irritating when they wind up piled in one section of the screen and you can't select the one you want. Further, squishy ranged units are clunky to control, as moving often requires you to retarget your enemy/ally or they just stand there. If nothing else, ranged healers/attackers should have some 'auto' options to make targeting less tedious. Has potential

It's a very good game and all,but I'm giving it 3 stars because of 2 things. 1st, it's the controls that is irritating where the heroes get stacked up and you can't choose the hero you want to pick, and as a result I mess up and lose. I wish you can do something about that, and 2nd, it's the item drop and gold, you only give the same low level items and little gold. I wish you can give that an upgrade. If you can somehow do smthn about it, maybe i'll give this a 5 star rating and other plyrs too

fun game. cool idea and executed well. better than 90% of mobile games out there. only beef that I have is the repetitiveness. after a while it just kind of feels grindy. I think this should have been made as a roguelite, where you start with random characters and if you die, you restart with new characters of different classes. this would have increased the replayability, I think. although honestly again, really cool game.

Lee. M. Nov 23, 2018

I would rate this higher but there's a glitch where sometimes there are no monsters but the level won't end and my characters are just standing around waiting for nothing. This is particularly frustrating when I've survived a difficult level and then nothing happens and I have to retreat and restart the level. please fix this in the next update cuz I love this game.
