I own the board game and the app and enjoy both. The game can feel difficult with rolling a lot of misses but none of the scenarios really took me more than a few tries and I thought it was a good representation of the board game, although there are some differences between the real game and the app. My issue is just that the app can be a little clunky, and I often get a glitch where I have to tap to the left of what I want to select, but over all it's solid.

Great adaptation of the boardgame, however the campaign is too short, and on top of that the online multiplayer DOESN'T WORK. You can tell in the info the app was last updated in 2017. This just kills the long-term enjoyment and replayability. Not maintaining the online multiplayer just kills this being a great app!!

Pretty poor game. The unit hit probabilities as stated in the description dont allign at all with what happens during the game; the ai has at least twice as much chance to generate a positive result even if the description tells otherwise. Also, the ai seems to generate EXACTLY the result it needs to keep your units from fulfilling the objective. Archers are next to useless as they miss 90% of the time. It is easy to make a game hard by skewing the rng towards the ai.

If you like board game you'll have fun with this one. Very unforgiving in some of the campaign scenarios, but that makes me want to keep coming back and try different strategies to get through. Very satisfying.

The way board games should be done on android, seriously can't fault it, all info at your fingertips, ui is superb.

Dice rolls are way too in the favor of the cpu. To the point where it is not enjoyable to play.

The physical game itself is great. The hit probability in this app is not.

Great game both on app form and board game form.

Love this game when I need a good tabletop strategy fix. I love the fact that I don't need a human to play against. I have the tabletop version and it's one of my favourite games.

Well executed, however it doesn't support the older purchase of the game on my family account so my family Library doesn't show the game. I wish they would enable that, it's just a choice they have to make. I purchased 1 month before the family library function was added, now can't play with kids.

Worked with my Note 4 doesn't work with my Note 8. Starts up but only allows 1 menu choice, the store, then won't show anything else.

Great adaptation of the board game and runs smoothly on smartphone. Worth the price of admission. I hope they continue to support this by adding some of the neutral units and upcoming Undead faction from the core game. More multiplayer maps/modes and the ability to select your role on non-deathmatch games would also be a plus.

Whoever programmed this game needs a lesson in how probability works. The units for the player state that they have a certain chance of striking and very clearly are nerfed to never get to even half of those probabilities. Then the computers' units are listed with percentages that they very clearly strike somewhere between 50% - 100% more often. Sorry guys, designing your game this way is completely unacceptable. I'd demand my money back if I thought you cared.

This game is designed well enough, and with the proper balance in combat, it could be great. Instead, I found myself restarting countless battles where, even when I did everything right, the odds were stacked so heavily in your opponent's favor that nothing you did mattered. I like strategy games, but this is a game of rolling the most dice, and you always have less dice.

Bought this a while back and never even finished the first battle until tonight. Not as convoluted as the tutorial round makes it seem. Need actually played the table-top version of BattleLore, although this reminds me of a war room table/floor mat TBS game like Battlemasters or Crossbows & Catapults. So far, no real complaints. Playing on LG GPad 8.3 with only a slight stutter occasionally.

Difficult is not too bad until you get to Rookery at which point it becomes nearly impossible. Have tried many times with no success. Getting ready to just quit...discouraged. Update: the dice are rigged. Throwing tons of misses. AI throws few... With devastating results. Example: ordered 3 archers, unmoving, and used lore that let's me fire anywhere on the board. Total rolls: 18. Total hits? TWO. Update; Wrote to developer. No response.

Battlelore is based on the fantasy flight board game. It is fun to play, but the computer has an advantage when rolling the dice (just like when playing with my son. I still wonder at him rolling only 5s and 6s when we play risk.) There are at least 2 endings to the campaign. (play through twice to unlock all the units.) One of the down sides is you cannot save the game during missions, so don't play unless you have 30 min.

Uninstalled from my phone with 6 inch screen. Just can't make out enough detail. Definitely more appropriate for tablets. Also, i know this is a port of a board game apparently, but I find the whole movement phase extremely confusing. You move units based on battlefield divided into vertical columns? OK... And you have to pick which columns or possibly multiple columns you can move each round? Never seen a game with rules like this.

Way too heavily weighted in favour of the AI. It would be a good idea to add an option of playing without lore (magic) as well. It gets boring to see your opponent constantly casting spells to wipe out your forces.

DON. B. Mar 16, 2016

Love the implementation, only complaint is that campaign is too short. Great as a 2 player game online. AI puts a good challenge so not the usual walk in the park game. Don't let the difficulty throw you off, gets easier when you learn tactics

Aml. Nov 30, 2015

Bought this for tactical skirmish. However most of the best units are locked until you finished campaign. Mind you the campaign is hard. Campaign AI is rigged and always has advantage. So here i am after buying the expansion, still trying to finish the damn campaign for fourth time and still hoping the dev would add option to save my campaign progress on cloud. Just because i switched to another phone i have to replay the whole campaign again?

Set. N. Feb 27, 2016

Creators took what could have been a fun strategy game and elected to add to many restraints. Breaking map into 3 sections and limiting number of units you can control each round just zapped the fun out of the game for me.

Signed in to Google Play but my Campaign progress in my Samsung S5 doesnt sync with my new Kata T Mini2 Phablet :(

Gun. W. Jul 2, 2015

The graphics are great and the game play is smooth, but I'm rating this game low because the dice rolls seem (maybe just perception) to favor the AI and I think I've learned I pretty much hate the Command and Colors system.
