Gets me lost. I was better off without it. It was difficult to navigate with this app. Couldn't find things on the map they were describing, or wasn't sure if I was at the right place. I uninstalled it right away!
Worthless. Buggy, slow, unresponsive, a totally useless app. This historical classic deserves far better. Don't waste your time downloading this app
Perfect functionality, and I'm on a rather ancient Nook.
Refused to work when at museum, lotsa broken media
Perfect to get additional information about this mighty ship.
I might never be able to get to the ship I can always take a tour here
Every time I tried to use the app, it crashed, so I was not able to take advantage of its features while I was at the museum.
The content is terrific! Our son (11 y/o) LOVED the Vicky Tour! What a great way to engage the digital generation! The app itself closed unexpectedly several times and it seemed to drain my battery pretty fast. Saw many other groups utilizing the app on board.
It took me at least thirty minutes of frustration to finally get the hang of using this app. Once I knew where I was aboard ship, I found it much easier to navigate by the map. Lots of interesting tidbits, just not very user friendly. However, the sailors aboard were all very helpful and informative!
The Big I - BB-61
This app brought the ship to life! Using the explore mode, I walked around the Iowa at my own pace and learned a ton! What I thought would be an hour visit turned into two as I couldnt stop learning new things! The content is so funny and interesting that I saved some of the items for when I got home. Download this app, and have your own personal tour guide!
Really enjoyed today's visit.
It says it is a 46MB download. I have more than 300MB available, but it keeps saying there is insufficient space to install the app.
Works for Iphone users, crashed multiple times for our andriod phones. Frustrating when yeying to take in the awesome Iowa.
Lacks the ability to know where you are at times, connectivity issues make playing scenes difficult and should follow more like the Midway tour using numbers to play back what you want when you want.
Did not function for any of the tours. We had three phones trying to run the app while aboard the USS Iowa, 2 users couldn't get to any of the tours, while I managed to get of the tours to work. However, none of the audio files would play anything at the few stations that sort of worked. So, we deleted the app and went old school: reading the signage and listening to the docents. Great museum, frustrating app.
