BBC iPlayer Radio

Mostly fine. However, if I pause and use another app, then try to pick up where I left off, it plays comically slowly. Like a bad time travel film, the voices are distorted, very deep and so slow they're unintelligible. Please fix this bug, the app is otherwise great! I also can't figure out how to download items for later, if that is a supported feature. Let me know if pos.

Love the app, love listening to all the great programs and podcasts. Just one thing I find really annoying is that every time you play one of the radio stations , it opens the station page. Maybe it would be better to just play the station when clicking on the play button and open it when clicking on the name of the station. So it would be easier and faster to know what's playing on each one without opening its own page.

Excellent app. You get content from all channels of BBC. Visually stunning app. Ironically there is no help or feedback session in the app. It would be nice if there is an option for users to provide feedback. For example, the app shows schedule. It would be nice if there is an option to put a reminder for favourite or desired program.

It has various podcasts, and they are all so valuable that I jut love this app. But sometimes I can't download the podcasts, because I couldn't find the button that was supposed to be right down the file. Also, why it couldn't work when I use 4G to access? When I use WIFI instead, it works normally. But it is annoying that I couldn't use it when I go away, as there's no WIFI here.

It's a great app but hope you guys can consider adding the "playlist function" for podcast. For those of us who work in medical facilities, labs, etc., taking gloves/protective gears off to flumble with our phones to play the next podcast is often a big hassle. The same is true for podcast listening while driving. Thanks!

Used this to stream the BBC World Service in my car. I got annoyed with it never truly shutting down. I could close the app and force it to stop. Then get in my car hours later and it would start playing as soon as the bluetooth connected again. Went back to the BBC News app. Too much hassle.

This app seems years behind on development. Basic features like audio casting do not exist, and the ability to download shows for offline listening does not work. It looks nice enough but without these basic features, what reason do I have to keep the app on my phone rather than to just use the website?

The app is great, however it is always crashing when trying to play a channel. I have had to delete the app a number of times and re-install, and it will work for 1 day and start crashing again. Then I have to delete and reinstall. Pretty annoying.

I like the app but it does not turn off properly on my android based streaming box. It is very annoying to press the pause button when watching a film from a hard drive or using the TED app, for instance, only to have BBC radio start blaring out. Please, developers, off means off!

Very good selection of programmes, especially for Radio 3. But it would be so much better if this would support Chromecast Audio like other audio apps. But why doesn't the international version of this app work with Android Auto? This makes it difficult to change channels etc safely.

BBC radio is such a great app with varitey of radio and podcast options. But in the recent days,, I can see a message that BBC Sounds replaced the app. Now I can neither use iPlayer Radio nor Sounds app. iRadio is not streaming and Sounds not available to download in my country. Could you please look into this? The only reason providing 3stars is due to the accessibility issue which I'm facing now.

On the whole great. I would like to be able to have a separate podcasts section, for all podcasts not just highlights etc. I also haven't been able to make the alarm work reliably or at all.

Great that it provides free BBC content, but has it ever become unstable! Unless I allow several seconds between selections and use a feather-light touch, I get "Sorry, this content is not available," then have to exit and open it again.... carefully....

Very nice app, with excellent layout and program listings. My only problem is that the Chromecast option is missing on this (Android) version. If that were added, I wouldn't really need any other radio app.

Such a shame this app no longer functions - the previous version was fantastic. Most content doesn't appear or load. Without a login/BBCid, everytime i want to hear something i have to search for it and hope the "please try again" message doesn't come up. etc. etc... I'm interested in finding out why this has happened - does anyone know why?

One of the rare pleasures in life is to hear a soothing voice. It can be a source of great fortitude in times of madness and desperation. It absorbs one’s own sadness and gives a reason good enough to take one through the days that lie ahead. The choice of music here, eclectic in design and spread across all the notes, leaves one with that immense feeling of being part of a greater world: a world in which one may not meet or know everyone but can always appreciate their voices. A joy indeed.

For BBC to develop this app shows that they know how to make good content but hopeless in making user friendly app. One of the worst apps from a leading world class media group is unbelievable. Get some pros to design the user interface, ease of use, navigate, search, AND SIMPLIFY.

Great app. Just one thing, the live streaming on the app is *always* delayed a few seconds/minutes (like half a song) compared to the live streaming on the bbc sounds site. I hope it gets fixed for the best experience. Thanks.

Good but needs chromecast support for me to give it 5 stars. There are still a lot of chromecast audio users even though they have stopped selling them and some of us even use the TV ones too. Great app though and use the alarm feature all the while.
