Note:
• Ability to store the app on the SD card. Widgets will not be available if you choose to use this function. This is a feature of the Android system. If you cannot see any widgets in your list of available widgets, in settings
- manage applications, move BBC Weather from SD card to phone/tablet, and then restart your device.
• This app is currently not available for users in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. The BBC and Google are working to resolve this issue.
If you choose to enable the display of weather at your current location [menu/show current location], the app will provide you with weather information based upon your current location. Your precise location is kept on your device, and once the app has determined the location of the closest populated location for which weather information is available, your precise location is not accessed by the BBC. No other personal data relating to you (such as a username, email address or unique device identifier) is sent to the BBC
- you can be assured of this, since the app does not request the "read phone status and identity" or "use accounts on the device" permissions. Your information is anonymous, nevertheless the BBC will keep your information secure and not share it with anyone in accordance with the BBC’s Privacy and Cookies Policy, available at http://www.bbc.co.uk/privacy. You can choose to disable the display of weather at your current location [menu/show current location], and then the app will no longer automatically detect your current location.

Not keen on the new logo but that's not a major thing. It's only 50/50 on accuracy though and since the app refresh last week it now doesn't bring up my weather like it used to. I have to look up previous searches to get my weather (I want to say forecast but it's actually more of a rough guess).
Hate the new app icons (across all the beeb apps). What's wrong with actually telling us what the app is for? Absolutely pointless,and makes it harder to find what you are after. Style over substance wins out yet again. Must be MUCH better things for Aunty to spend OUR license fee money on, especially now it's been frozen..... Dont complain about your budgets if you can afford to waste it on this rubbish.
New app icon is terrible and really hard to spot quickly. Same minimalist nonsense the other BBC apps have moved to which makes it hard to spot on a busy home screen. Hell, all the BBC apps are now mostly black with a hint of colour which is hard to see.
Good app, but since the latest (5th May) update, the widget rarely refreshes automatically. I also think the rebranding exercise wasted a lot of space in the widget, the weather itself now occupies a smaller portion of that space.
3.5.22 Almost a year since last review and still see blue sky when using app. Please fix this issue as you must be aware of it, with so many users telling you about this issue. 22.5.22 App seems to have had an update but am still experiencing blue sky and so yet again will have to uninstall and reinstall. Please get this error fixed.
I was disappointed that this app doesn't show temperature change through out the day like the website features. It only gives an average or current temperature. I guess I'll just stick with the site for now
Always the first app I go to for the weather...although the weather can change day by day usually... like my socks. What's happened to the app icon recently? It's terrible and black..change the whole thing back to bright blue again so people can see it please.
Every update to a BBC app provokes the same response: WHY???!!??? Almost never does change for change's sake result in an improvement, and the same is true here. Better to pay developers for doing nothing. It remains the best weather app despite, not because of, tinkering.
I find this App reasonably clear and precise. There are occasions when the forecast is not 100 percent accurate. Overall very satisfied with the App.
I travel a lot and depend on BBC weather for all my activities. The predictions are pretty accurate for any part of the world and now I cannot plan anything without the app.
Erratic. This app is generally good but occasionally fails to get beyond the start screen. It just hangs.
As of the date of this posting, the app no longer functions; just a picture of a bit of sky with 'BBC' at the top.
Used it for several years now and it's consistently more accurate than any other weather app. Found it the easiest to read too. New logo needs binned though, it looks miserable. Old one was just fine, don't know why they needed to change it.
