This app is generally ok but it misses the mark on some key features. I would really like: 1. Zoom on graph, or ability to set scales on the axes. 2. To be able to export graph data to be able to import into other apps like excel. Not having a way to keep the data other than with taking a screenshot of the graph is really frustrating. 3. I would really like a low battery alert option so you can be notified on your phone if you need to plug in a powerbank.
The app has potential. However one of the biggest drawbacks is the baseline temperature you cannot set or offset the temp error. This reads 31 degrees hotter than 3 other probes (all of which are with 5 degrees of each other). Second it doesn't give a timer for estimated completion based on the rising temperature of the food. Update 3/26/22 After getting new probes, this thermometer is pure garbage. Wildly wrong temps and no way to adjust or offset. I threw it in the trash today. Never again!
The temperature probe text really needs to be scaled down. Why is it huge? I don't want to keep scrolling through my phone to view every probe. Give the option for smaller text so I can view them all without scrolling. This is an easy modification to make for the app.
Works well for what it is. I wish it had a widget so you can see the temp at a glance without opening the app. As others have said, the alarm sound and system leaves a lot to be desired. I do really love it for the price. I had to replace the probes after about a year.
Doesn't stay connected in the background. I even set the app to stay open in the background but if I open something else then come back it resets and my temp graph is gone. Needs to keep running even in the background
Worst app ever. Makes thermometer a complete waste. Constantly crashes, graph does not scale. Absolute turd app would give less stars if I could
Stopped working after update! Updated phone's android, this app requested an update and it doesn't work anymore. Everyone else is saying the same thing. Wish I read the reviews before purchasing / updating. Garbage!!!
When It works it's ok, but as others have said, it regularly loses connection and then you lose all the graph data.
The temperature records reset constantly so the graph feature is pointless. It should be up to the user to clear the records.
Loving it do far. One thing I think would make this app better is a widget and a temp status in the pull down notifications bar. Do that I will make 100% make it 5 star
Great functionality. Simple and easy to use. Extremely convenient.
Application is horrible to use as I have never made it through a whole cook without the Application crashing & loosing all my graph data, even though my phone is in range the whole time. I wish I spent the extra money & got a decent one to begin with, that being said I have not had any issues with the probes yet after owning it for a year, I would not recommend this product to anyone that wants to actually see the graph over the whole cook.
there is a problem with the temperature graph, with Celsius degree it doesn't show temperatures higher than about 120-130°C
Pretty good software overall. Would be nice if the graphs could be saved
I like the 4 prongs. The one thing I CANT STAND is the alert. It's loud, obnoxious, and you can't turn it off until you open the app. It would be great if you could change the alert tone, have homescreen alerts to where you can select the app from the alert screen, or swipe the notification, or even use the side volume buttons to turn the alert off instead of hearing it at 3am, scrambling to get your phone and fumbling to find the app to open it. Sounds like a smoke detector. UPDATE PLEASE!!!
It's great. Works very well. I wish I could zoom in and out on the graph so I can actually read it. The app will randomly restart or disconnect. Which makes the graph start over when it reconnects. It's not the bluetooth connection that's failing but the app itself. Especially if you are using your device for more than just that one app. It would be cool to have a temp display in the notification bar while the app is running in the background.
Easy to use but.. pretty frustrating that the app refreshes the "timeframe" in which data is recorded. It randomly erases the temp graph from earlier in the cook to give a glimpse of what's happened in the last hour or so. The fact that there's no way to save data is ULTRA annoying. There's no way to look up past cooks to compare data. I think that with a few tweaks it'd be a great app. Also frustrating that you have to open the app to disable an alarm instead of thru a push notification.
This is pretty slick. I am using it with a six probe Inkbird wireless thermometer and it is fantastic. It's not the most UI but it is simple and easy to use. I would highly recommend this combo. It is very easy to add custom time and temperature alarms, and the alarms sync with the base unit so that will beep as well at the target temperature. I wish there was a way to export the temperature data, and to view the temperature history for all of the probes on the same chart at the same time.
App works decently. The temp unit takes up to 4 probes, but the app only shows up to 2 at a time, you have to swipe back and forth to see all 4 temps. 4 temps could easily be programed to fit on a single screen. I pointed this out to the developer, but they blew it off as unimportant. You people need to work on your customer service skills...
The interface is intuitive but my biggest gripe is that whenever one of the alarms trigger, it does not give you a push notification which is very annoying. I have to navigate to the app, and scroll through to find whatever probe is triggering an alarm and shut it off that way... if they gave me a push notification instead, I would definitely rate this app a lot higher.
The physical temp sensor is great, simple to use and bright display that can be seen easily in any light conditions. The reason for the 2 star rating is because the app drops connection to my phone ( Samsung S9) frequently and sometimes causes the temperature graph to reset... making that feature, which is a major reason I bought this temp gauge, almost useless. Another factor is that the fact that there has been no updates to the app for a year so looks like they have given up on it...
Really don't understand why the app doesn't record data, or atleast give you the option to save and export or something. Watching a graph plot along while you are cooking isn't that useful, it is much more useful to be able to look back at the complete picture after the fact and use it to analyse things like stall temperature and duration, oven temp stability, temperature spikes when opening the lid/feeding the fire, etc. The fact you can't do that makes that side of the app a bit of a gimmick.
Great concept, poor implementation. The app notifications don't appear in the notification bar. If the app isn't in the foreground you have to manually launch the app to silence the alert. The only way to silence an alert is to delete the probe setting which clears your history. The history is very limited and can't be exported. Strangely it shows a button for enabling the temp alert but disabling it doesn't change the behavior. I think the app is not being actively developed. Its basic af.
Previous comment mention the thermometer does what it's designed to do. The temp graph is awesome for being able to dial in temp right. However, it deletes the graph if the app resets or disconnects from the unit. It would be nice to be able to save the graph with notes like weather or fuel source. Also, there could easily be more detail on the graph. As a general guidline, I don't eat food grilled below 100*.
Easy to use. You can create your own preset which is convenient. I think the application has all the features I need and works flowlessly. Some people complain it needs GPS permission to work, it is the way Android works. All the applications that need Bluetooth need GPS to work. Weird but it is not the fault of the application.
