Within each Ale Trail you will find recommended itineraries to explore the respective destination – this includes an array of craft breweries, pubs, restaurants, cafes, outdoor activities, sightseeing, accommodations and more.

With a BC Ale Trail app account, you can collect points, and redeem them for goods or services at Rewards locations within our Ale Trails.
Explore
The Explore button takes you to the map of BC, which has pins indicating the location of our Ale Trails and places of interest where you can collect points. Clicking on each pin on the map gives you more information about that location.
Collect Points
Many locations with the BC Ale Trails are assigned a point value, which can be collected when you are within GPS range of a location and have a connection to the internet. Pushing the “Collect Points” button while physically visiting a location will add the location’s points to your point total. To keep earning points, explore more locations. You can track your point total on Your Account page.
Redeem Rewards
Once you collect enough points, those points can be redeemed for goods or services at BC Ale Trail Rewards locations, which are indicated in the app. Select the place where you would like to redeem your reward. Hitting the “Redeem Rewards” button while physically at a Rewards location will bring up a key pad for the place owner to enter a code to deduct points from your point total in exchange for your reward. You must have an internet connection in order to redeem points.
Share with Friends
Find a place you want to let others know about? The Share button on each location’s page allows you to share information about that place via your social media channels.

App is unreliable and not very responsive. Spend way too much time for its purpose trying to pull breweries by list or map to collect points. Have been to three tastings rooms and the entire at each establishment, the list and map wouldn't load. A waste of time.
Had some issues but got ahold of the customer service reps and got it quickly resolved ! A+ customer service
I live in bc and travel a fair bit. This app made sense, however a large ammount of brewers that advertise for the ale trail dont come up on lists. You need a search option. Also the rewards that you get, beer mug after 10 trips, its not worrh the time and effort to even collect points for rewards.
GPS not working, if app loads at all. Nice concept, sadly not working on ios nor android.
This won't even open. Just keeps telling me the app has stopped. Update: after excellent communication and help from the developers this issue has been resolved quickly and I am very happy with the app.
Used to be good. Have found the GPS ineffective in connecting to brewery to collect points
The response time can be laggy when searching a nearby or event at the brewery itself. Other than that, fairly clean and simple interface.
Downloaded it ahead of a trip, kept freezing and flashing. Needs to be seriously upgraded.
The search function doesn't work and the explore page doesn't bring up any breweries so there is no way to collect points... horrible app that never works.
Android version has so many bugs & glitches. Apple version is fine (my bf has it and whenever we try and use it his works and mine doesn't)
My phone won't install the latest update so I can't use the app.

App keeps improving and now has all the Ale Trails loaded and ready to go.

What's the point in the points? Visit 10 places and get 15% off food at one place? Why bother?

Loved this app before but now has become completely unusable! Would not update and now won't even install! Rating would be higher if you could actually use the app. Please fix!
