Only used briefly but appears to be a great start to what should be a very useful app for travellers and the like. For me personally, it is missing the cam in Kimberley (Southern Interior), Highway 95A at Black Bear Crescent. Travel this route regularly for my work so would be a nice addition to see it added at some point. Anyway, stellar job so far!
Easy to use as I plan several trips in to the lower mainland every year. It's been very valuable with all the flooding going on this November and beginning of December.
The app is fine if cumbersom. My problem is the updating of major events on the TransCanada Hwy. It is haphazard at best, and with this as the major source of communication with travelling public simply incomprehensible. At this particular instant the app shows that the Hwy is closed 15km east of revvy with the next update 4pm, but Twitter shows it just re opened.
Excellent source of information for highways in BC. Drivers can be made aware of incidents, events and driving conditions, and the camera photos (where available) are great for showing what's actually happening in that area. Very good!
buggy. find cam on map but tapping it doesn't open it. also when you tap on maps it takes you out to google maps but drops all the road info off. if you go back then you have to start over. painful
Great App to have. Very very helpful especially during winter time. Knowing what's the Weather conditions and road conditions when traveling to your destinations.
I mainly use this app for border delays in the greater Vancouver area. Unfortunately, they are not properly updated (realtime). Its 730am, last update was 610am. Not helpful.
This app is never updated today Monday night still showing hwy 3 is open intermittently that cvse is allowing 20 trucks at intervals of 20 minutes. Totally false and biased updated. Please don't hesitate to trust these people.
Excellent app and besides good features I like the highway cams and the replay traffic video to find out road situations and if there is snow on my route and near my distination
Good for checking out the highways and border crossings and to determine traffic jams and such at key points....makes it easy to plan for bad conditions and allows for better time management as well.
First class, second to none. Not checking this app before your winter road trip is like trying to fix stupid. You only have yourself to blame when things head south in a hand basket, true story...
Because of COVID-19 we don't travel much, sadly at Present, BC is out of the question, but we totally understand. It would be a good idea right across Canada. It's still interesting to see and hear how roads are in BC. Thanks
Traffic cams allow me to gauge conditions in real time or near so. This helps me adjust my ETA, if it's necessary, without difficulty.
Quite inaccurate. Drive BC website shows highway 5 northbound closed since 4:30 AM near Kamloops (Oct 2 2019), this app doesn't. Several omitions over the past year makes this app not a trustworthy source of information for me.
Good app in general, but a bit limited. would like to see better map based information for alerts etc.
Live cameras along routes are especially useful, and they are searchable by highway no.
Very good for traveling, wish they had weather cams in Alberta as well, so we could see road conditions before starting any trips.
Recently discovered the webcams weren't working. Sent an email to the developers, who responded quickly and fixed the issue with a new update. BC Highways had made a change to their API without notifying the developers. Keep up the good work. Great application!
