It didn't work at first. I couldn't open the app and frozen after commpleting all the entries. By clicking on some of the entries in here I got a message the date was incorrect. So I went into my Android settings to check and everything look fine then I clicked on the network time. And at the same time I thought I should restart my mobile device. Then I was able to open the app and use it. I really think the restarting made the difference. I'm hoping down the road it will still work

Absolutely terrible app. Would not recommend using this as a sign-in option for other services (e.g. CRA) if given the choice. I was forced to update the app to the latest version and since doing so, the app has essentially become unusable. Despite my login credentials being correct, I keep getting an error message instructing me to close the app or reset my account. I tried to verify my identity by video (in case that was the issue) but it just freezes as soon as the camera app opens.

Horrible! I needed to use this app to renew my car insurance online. I tried 3x & received an in-app messag that there could be a problem with the app. I went to reinstall and in the meantime thought I would download it on my iPad and see if the iOS app was any better. Once downloaded there was no way to log in you had to verify yourself all over again. The two options for verification were to do so using your app on one of your other devices or verify using video which could take up to a week!

This worked well for a while and now it constantly says that there's an issue and I need to reload the app. I had to uninstall it and reinstall it. This as you know requires verification, which involves video calls or an in-person visit. Not sure what you all did to break the app, but now it's hot garbage.

A terrible experience as a senior citizen trying to get this working. They assume you have a good understanding of computers, a recent smart phone, high speed internet. Well some of us don't have the most recent technology, nor are entirely comfortable online. Out of luck, I guess.

I am waiting to be verified but right off the bat it gets 1 star. I went into the options and there is zero way of locking this app. Why this App does not require you to enter a code to open is beyond me. Yes my phone needs a code to unlock it but this App should also need a four digit code to unlock and open it. Once the process is done I am seriously considering deleting it because of how easy they make it to access information. If someone losses there phone and it gets hacked...

The app hasn't been working. It told me to reset it so I did and had verify my ID again just for it to still not let me log in. I can't access my studentaidbc account because of this. Update: the issue is with those who try to verify their identity by video. If you verify by video call it will work.

It generally gives errors. Have to keep reinstalling it. Have to wait several days to have myself verified every time I reinstall on the same phone. Seems to be a waste of staff time to have to revify someone every time they want to use the app.

What kind of junk this is. I seriously dont understand waste so much time and people to varfy this app and when you open it up, it provides nothing. All the things in there is very disorganized. Can yoi get someone who knows at least something about computer to manage this kind of project? Not someone who can talk and get into the position. Thank you.

I have to change my rating of this app due to password access. You can only use app if you keep your phone locked. I do not keep everything locked, my phone, laptop, etc. I can't remember all the passwords. I have a book with passwords in and it sits on the table in plain view, so I can access other stuff. I really don't care if someone wants to look in my health records and see I have been treated for an ingrown toenail and recieved the same meds like thousands of other people. So obsurd.

Went to use the pass when I needed it and it didn't work. It said it was installed incorrectly and needed to be deleted and reinstalled. But it was working just fine previously and I had used it to get into a movie theater. When I reinstalled it it didn't remember all the information and I had to re-verify myself. So I had to do the video process again and wait several days for it to be approved. This means the restaurant I was at would not take me even though this app worked in the past.

Worked fine last year, now the app says it's not installed correctly and I need to uninstall and reinstall. Now I have to go through the whole set up again and wait to to get verified. I honestly barely need to use this and it is unreliable when I do need it.

Update: uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Version 2.5.3 (Dec 6, 2021) is now working with Android 12. Likely something broken with the update process. The app worked fine for months and it suddenly stopped working after I upgraded to Android 12 last October. The login errors were not informative at all, it was only until I reset the app it showed: "the OS on this device is not supported supported: 12. Please update your device and make sure it's not a beta version." Non beta Android 12 has been released for 4+ months and it's unacceptable this app is still not supporting it.

The developer's response reminded me to change my rating. Its okay and does a fine job. I still feel that it's a bit excessive, although I can see why they've implemented this. Many reviews are saying that it's annoying to redo the application process with a password reset and whatnot. I agree it's annoying, however it really doesn't take too long. You have to remember that anything concerning confirmation of identity requires some level of screening.

Constantly get a "problem with the app" message. I've done video verification 3 times in the last month and still can't use the app.

It's quite annoying I am trying to access my Student Aid BC login won't work untill I can verify myself thru this BC Services App which I have done previously before. I read since updates some were also having issues. I was asked to reinstall the app again there is an error msg. My phone is upt to date. I have an LG android soo annoying. And it's a long lag to access it. It was fine last month. I have to start all over again. I didn't realize it would do this. Such a waste of time. Pls fix

If I could set it to Zero I would. I shouldn't need a password to store my account. It shouldn't delete the verification I just had approved because I don't have a password on my device, causing me to do the entire process again. This causes people to have to wait if they're required to use this app for anything. It is very unfriendly towards those who are tech unsavy already, why add another ableist feature. Put it back to it was before, asking you to set up a password instead.

If I could rate this app at 0 stars, I would. I waded through the needlessly cumbersome registration process only to discover that this app wants me to provide it with the PIN with which I log onto my device every time I use it! Why? Why would I entrust my device PIN to government (at any level)? I'm already logged on to my device to use the app; why isn't that sufficient proof of my identity? EDIT: can you people read? Clearly, my device's security controls ARE enabled.

will not work with the s22. samsung to be clear. says the OS is either not up to date or in beta. might want to fix this sooner rather tham later. i can't access my taxes. i would rate this zero stars.

pretty slow and glitchy. It times out in like 10 seconds. I had to log in 4 times in under 2 min.

very confusing. tried to book for driver license renewal and it keeps telling me to switch back to previous web page.

Requires device to have a password. Huge pain and safety issue when in a rush to open phone in the industry I am. Good luck being verified as well...being government run the verification times are ridiculous.

The app is great. The only complaint is that the registration forced me to use a Japanese year for my birth year. I just assisted my mother in installing this app on her phone and it again required a Japanese year. How can this be changed?

Required for Criminal Records Check for school district, no provision for paper copy through school district. I have very limited phone space (old phone) and I don't like giving that many permissions to an app.

It was working fine until the most recent update. Now the app wont work at all. Its telling me to delete it and reinstall.

I was not given an option to use my computer for this. Who's idea was it to force us to use a phone to log in. How hard is this to set up to use a computer? Very poor project planning.

It's the third time I experienced the same bug in 2 years. The app suddenly prompted me error for reinstalling, and I have to verify it again. No one has ever responded to the issue, simply asked me to repeatedly do the verification.

Everytime I need to use the app for anything it gives me an error and says that I need to reset the app and set it up again. I don't want to keep sending videos of myself. This is time consuming, I just want to be able to log in to things without this app constantly throwing errors.
