Used this app last year no issues, now when I need to use it I place my thumb, and then accept new terms etc, then back to sign in screen again. This is a constant rinse repeat issue. Unable to log into the app to use it.
Can't even log in to see how the app works. Reset password several times. Occasionally it recognizes the password only to return an error that something is wrong with the servers and to try again later. Later has lasted almost a week now. I have a perfectly strong data connection.
I find the app very limited. Especially for Medicare supplement users. There is no way to access my billing and account information. Everything else seems ok for now
Have NEVER gotten it to work. Have to call them on the phone everytime. And yet again call them and spend another 2 hours with tech people. Now have 27 passwords for them it is always change your pasdword. Then it still doesnt work the next time. This time it was also add a new browser. So i can sign in on a different browser so then i can open the app for it to work. Either hire tech people that can fix it. Or buy an app from someone that knows how to make stuff work. Very SAD that we cannot
Can't log in. It helps telling me invalid credentials even though the customer service rep on the phone said my credentials were valid. I've reset my password several times. My work provides either Health Alliance or BCBSIL. I think I am going to switch to Health Alliance. BCBSIL may turn out to be good insurance, but from everything I'm reading, this is an ongoing issue that still hasn't been fixed. I hope they get it resolved for whomever else needs there services.
This app is absolutely hot garbage. If it's not crashing to my home screen, it's apologizing and asking me to try searching later. Genuinely very frustrating to use. Even when it works it's slow and pretty dang useless. Just use the browser version.
Where time I enter the verification code the apps fails. Apparently this is an undocumented feature to automatically raise one's blood pressure. Nice job BCBSIL.
The search for in network care functionality is spectacularly useless. If you have to use it during an actual medical emergency, you're probably screwed.
EDIT: It still isn't any good! No matter the procedure I choose for "cost estimates" it tells me it couldn't find anything in my area. It won't even allow me to expand the search. Nothing! Please fix this! Keeps telling me to login after every page I try to view. Or there's no information available and takes me back to home screen.
Update the app!!! Crashing for the past week every time I try to accept terms. It looks like it's been an issue for about 6 weeks. I see they just ask everyone to send an email. Just fix it.
Can i give zeto stars? Installed and reinstalled 3 times. Won't connect to your server. Says to try later. Why bother? Other ratings indicate it doesn't work anyway! You expect me to go back to 1962 month by f'ing month for my date of birth???? That's like 700 taps on the calendar. Does anyone over 30 actually test these apps, or does a bunch of college kids sell you on the idea they made it user friendly. I see someone else had same issue. No we are not fingers idiots. Try using the app.
Not working since last update. Can't get past "Accept Terms" screen. Will either kick me back to login screen or will pop up message that states "BCBSIL keeps stopping". Am unable to access anything on the app due to the glitch.
App has not worked in months. I changed my password, unistalled then reinstalled and still does not work. Customer support said they would call back when they figured it out...needless to say I'm still waiting. I would just suggest using the website
App keeps crashing after accepting the new Terms & Conditions (1+ month of this problem). BCBS app is completely unusable in it's current state. UPDATE 2/15/22: App still unusable, Google Play Store is quite updated and the BCBSIL app still doesn't work. An update for this app hasn't been released since December, so either all of these negative reviews and complaints are being ignored or Blue Cross/ Blue shield does not care about those they insure.
Can't access anything in the app. As soon as I click "accept terms" it force closes. Please fix!!!! Can't access my billing or view claims or even see copies of my insurance card - app is completely useless now!
When I login, it tells me to accept terms. When I click "Accept", it crashes back to the login screen. This happens repeatedly and I cannot access any information.
Some sections of the app like the wellness section won't even load.
I thought, how can a BCBS app only average 2.8 stars?? I installed, then immediately found out why. Breaks password managers, yes. But more than that, it is a pain to actually search for a provider. I keeps kicking me all the way back to where I have to start from the beginning after I view a profile. Better to stick to the web.
App and website is trash, even worst customer service. Called to get assistance to log into my account. Was told to try a different browser. I did, it was giving me error messages that their server is down to contact BCBS. Rep states there is nothing wrong on their end. I kept repeating myself that I've tried 3 browsers as well uninstalled and reinstalled the app and cannot get into my account. Nothing but "It's fine for us over here." How does that even help the customer?
Experiencing the same problems as others- app keeps looping between log in screen and accepting new terms - can't actually log in to my account. Has been like this since 1/1/2022 and it's now 2/4/2022.
Unable to login for over a month now. Tells me that there is a server error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, including today, so the app should be completely up to date.
BCBSIL has the worst customer service on the planet! STILL cannot get in to my account, and the representatives can't fix it. Tried to get to a supervisor, they put me on hold and after 5 minutes hung up. Can't call back now because it's, amazingly, after customer service hours. Now I have to call back tomorrow and waste more of my time.
Horrible app. The claims summary is so short it only gives date of service. You have to look more in depth to find when the claim was submitted, and it tells you incorrecr $ you owe. They don't give you an option to turn off emails for claims notifications unless you want them physically mailed to you. And the emails come days after the claims are in the app so you can see the claims way before you get the notification. They want me to call to address the app they poorly designed. No fix it!
Utter garbage. This app seems deliberately, even maliciously, designed to prevent you from using any conceivably-helpful services or features. -Want to send customer service a message via the app? Hah! (You can't...only an automated phone number is provided, and you can look forward to a literal hour of hold time.) -Want to update your profile/address? Can't do that here. -Want important notices and updates emailed to you? Nope. Best they'll offer is an email notice that you HAVE a new notice.
UPDATE: I am unable to access the provider finder, "Something Went Wrong" error keeps popping up. This app should be a lot better considering this is a major healthcare provider. For the most part, I'm able to access most parts of the app, however, the cost estimator always returns a "Sorry, something went wrong" error message and I need to go to the desktop site to actually get an estimate. Please fix this, would love to be able to check this on the go.
App message says it has a bug when I tried to open file in message inbox.
Why can't I order my Rx refills? This app is so useless. The website experience is such a royal pain, I hoping to skip the frustrations I normally have with the site with a useful and convenient app. The purpose of apps is so that common, necessary tasks can be done in a convenient manner. So why can't I order my meds? At very least, give me some kind of information on what to do with this app. I probably have to call an 800 number, yet another lovely experience, brought to you by BCBSIL.
