Garbage. App is useless, hangs constantly. Returns errors whenever I try to check out a bike. App only show a fraction of the bikes actually parked at any given station. Me and 2 other people were standing at a station trying to unlock a bike. We all three got errors, but 30 seconds later the bike unlocks on its own. Who checked it out? The world may never know. The service is unreliable at best.

Good bikes. Horrible app. First off the bikes are very confusing to rent. Even worse is that when I returned the bikes it didn't proccess in the system until the morning after so I was charged for almost 12 hours of riding when I only rode for 30 mins. I hope they can get there app together because the concept is great however until then I absolutely wouldn't recommend this app. Also note that I called customer service twice and I have yet to receive a follow up email or call.

Too many faulty stations that don't properly register when bikes are docked. There's no way for a user to manually override and dock a bike through the app, so if the dock doesn't register the bike, you can't rent another one until Bcycle Support virtually docks it. Had to walk for miles in the dark with no lights to get back to my car.

There are too many steps to check out a bike. I've used these types of stations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul areas and those are far easier and faster to check out. Also a "day pass" charges you $5 extra for rides over 30 minutes which makes no sense.

While it can be convenient when I'm going to the gym or work. The bike stations are out of order alot of the times and will say I haven't checked in my bike in for over 2 hours when I did. Also they don't fix the bikes. Some have flat tires, the brakes don't work, the gears are messed up or the electric bikes don't even work. They need to do a better job on up keep. Especially because it can be dangerous when u don't know the bikes are broken.

This app is full of bugs - I am currently stuck walking in the rain due to it's inability to unlock a bike. I have contacted Fort Worth Bikesharing more than once with problems but have never received a response. I hope this may someday change but I won't hold on breath.

I almost died today while using a Bcycle bike. It was supposed to be electric but the electric would not turn on - I didn't find this out until I had ridden a good 5 minutes away from the dock. I tried calling the help line but the person was not helpful at all. She just told me I should have checked the bike first before renting it. I was like how does this help me RIGHT NOW? absolutely useless support. the app said it had full battery - do they not check the bikes for maintenance? The whole front faceplate had been cracked and the bike was covered in grease which I got all over my light colored pants, hands and everything I touched on my trip. About 5 minutes later the chain must have caught on itself but the bike stopped suddenly from about 20 kms and threw me to the ground. I hurt my wrist very badly and tore my clothing. I also very narrowly missed getting run over by a car passing too close. I called the helpline but never got through so I sent a message via the app and then a very rude lady returned my call. She did not give two tosses that I was hurt, or had a bad experience. Her tone was basically - not my problem. I had to fight to get her to refund me and she never even volunteered to send someone to help me. TERRIBLE COMPANY. POOR VALUES. HATES THEIR CUSTOMERS. If I could give negative stars I would.

Not good. Bikes are in terrible shape and the stations won't register locked or unlocked.

Horrible experience using this app. App was very slow. Signing up was difficult. App would never release bikes from their bike racks.

Horrible experience, said it unlocked bike from station but didn't unlock. No way to cancel through app.

Bikes won't let you change gears uphill. Sometimes the electric part won't work. Unable to return a bike? You have to lock it up, hold a key with you everywhere, and set up a time to give the key to support. All stations that are popular either are too full with bikes and lack "parking", or are completely empty. The app will only sometimes give the correct number of bikes at a station. Additionally, you might accidentally dock into a station that doesn't work. Put support on speed dial.

Not user friendly. Not logical at all. Will charge you overpriced even if you dock your bike.

The directions are the worst. It gives you very broad directions such as turn right, turn left...but where exactly? It's anyone's guess. Sometimes it's on a street other times it's onto a trail or my favorite into several flights of stairs. It took me down six flights of stairs with a bike. Only thing I like is that payments and returns are easy.

As others have said, this app is messed up. I used it two years ago and it worked great. I've installed it three times, but whenever I try to log in it crashes. I wish someone would fix it because the stations are hard to use too... Very difficult touch screens that you have to push over and over. And I found out today they don't read my card, so I need to do a phone number which takes forever because of the touch screen. I LOVE using these bikes, but the app is worthless.

Was pretty awful. The app overcharges regularly, the bikes don't register when locked up stranding you from taking another bike, and you have to hope they'll reverse the charges after waiting on hold an hour or so.

Sad to delete this app! I used it while visiting San Antonio. It was a blast and easy to use. I met some of the Bcycle employees along the route doing maintenance and they were super helpful, friendly and willing to answer all of my questions. Bcycle should definitely consider parts of Washington State that has bike trails and tourism areas. Seattle, Olympia and the wineries in eastern Washington would be a good start .

The app was okay at first, well, there were never any bikes. When they changed my status from free to being a paid membership I wanted to cancel it. But heres the kicker. Little did I realize that the ONLY way to do it was through email via one of those nameless customer service accounts. This is for the sole reason of making dactivating your account as difficult as possible. A honest company will let you cancel your subscription within the app or online, and Bcycle does neither.

The app is extremely confusing to use. There is no clear register option, it took me fumbling around and tapping random things until I figured out when you click get riding you then tap on the option you have dropped down. Super annoying. Map is inaccurate, to return a bike you have to practically slam it into the lock for it to register. The bike was super dirty on my hands and pants. But it was super cheap to use and the bike ran well. A good idea but the app needs some major work.

Pau. S. Dec 10, 2021

I really like this app. But I don't like the way the "unlimited membership" works. Unlimited 60 minute rides, but anything beyond that, I get charged for. It's silly because if it's unlimited, why charge me? Apparently I must put the bike into a station, and then take it out again to get another "unlimited 60 minutes". Why not just make it unlimited, period? Houston doesn't have enough bcycle stations in certain areas to justify this type of membership. If you're a minute late, you get charged.

Pretty buggy and unintuitive interface.

I was a visitor to Austin. I downloaded the app and bought the 3-day Explorer Pass for less than $20. I was able to check the bikes out for an hour at a time, and I could see the entire downtown area and both sides of the river. Downtown Austin has a lot of bike lanes and the drivers and pedestrians seem pretty used to bikes. I had a small problem when I returned my bike to an offline station, but it was easy to resolve by calling. great way to see the city and very affordable.

This is the worst app I have used in my life. It literally only works like 10 percent of the time. 90 percent of the time u see a bike at the stand it doesn't show up on the app. When it does it won't even let you unlock it. The person who created this app should be fired immediately and be ashamed of themselves.

Ric. S. Sep 16, 2021

First two wouldn't unlock. Third one unlocked but I couldn't turn on the power. Returned it to the dock. Fourth one unlocked but as I was putting my phone in my pocket, it locked up. The app didn't know that the bike was locked and didn't allow me to return to the home screen. Emails to notifications bounced. Had to call for a refund. It's a good idea, but this setup is not ready for prime time.

The. M. M. Mar 30, 2022

Only works half the time. Throws an "error, please try again later" and time I try to renew my pass or account info. Displays incorrect number of bikes and docks at stations. Very bad and slow UI. Too bad the decent bikes are associated with this horrible app.

Dav. S. L. Jun 17, 2020

Great concept, horrible implementation. What started as a $6+ for 2 day passes ended up being over $30.00 per day because of a stupid and inconvenient policy. The fine print said that you must find a bicycle dock and plug it in once an hour or you'll be charged and hourly rate regardless of if you purchased a day pass. I'm never going to use the system again and encourage people to buy a bike instead as its cheaper. You shouldn't have to stop every hour and find a kiosk as they can be far away!

Hea. P. Aug 31, 2019

App is never accurate. Often it tells me there are bikes available when the docks are completely empty. This is a big issue in areas where stations are a mile apart. Sadly, i can't depend on bcycle enough to make it my commuter option since i could be left high and dry without a bike. Please increase accuracy.
