With the smallest coast in Brazil (only 66 km), the state of Piauí is still unknown by many who search tourism in the country. Located between the tourist spots of Ceará and Maranhão states, Piauí was, for a long time, considered only as a passage from Jericoacoara to Lençóis Maranhenses, the famous Rote of Emotions. The stop was usually made only to visit the gorgeous Delta do Parnaíba. Only now that the state’s small coast is being considered as a obligatory stop point in this trip.
The location of the state is another attraction. When staying on the coast of Piauí, tourists have the chance to meet other beach destinations such as Jericoacoara (CE) or Lençóis Maranhenses (MA). Praias do Piauí is a personal guide, created by us, the couple Nathalia and Marco Felix. We are from the countryside of São Paulo and in 2010 we fell in love with the beauties and lifestyle in Piauí’s coast. In 2011 we moved definitely to the fishing village of Barra Grande, in Cajueiro da Praia, where we built Terra Patris! Atellier Pousada and live since then. We brought together with us our passion for travelling and, during our adventures around here, we missed having a guide with more touristic information about the coast. After exploring a bit, we saw that the coast, despite being so small, has a lot to offer to adventurous tourists. Since 2012 we have been travelling, photographing, researching and editing the website, until this version you can see online today. Tomorrow for sure it will be different. On each new discovery, we have more certainty that we choose the right path, sharing experiences of this land that welcomed us so well.
