Played around with this app some on my iPhone a while ago, and it was fine. However, on my Pixel 3, I have an issue where the bottom of the app is cut off where the home button comes up from the bottom of the screen. This issue makes the app practically unusable. Please update with a fix for this issue. Edit: Hasn't been updated since I originally posted this review. Changing to one star until it gets fixed.
im not sure what all the complaints are about. Everything works as it should, and this includes the airmix (i think people dont know how to work their devices for the mot part.) If I had to gripe, I'd have to say its a bit finnicky to control sometimes, but i suppose a larger screen or a stylis could help that, and I wish all the paid features were free, but thats just my frugality. Thanks for a great app. Im looking forward to a broader range of reactions into more complex fields.
I would give it 5 stars as I love the game and there's so much you can learn from it. The reason for 3 stars is I can't find anywhere to cancel something or remove something. I have to force stop the app and open it up again to create something new. Also the bottom of the screen, where all the chemicals go into is basically a bottomless pit, lol. I can't see what's in there unless I tilt the screen to allow everything to run down, lol. All in all a very good concept and game so thank you. Peace!
Great and cool app. Very fun and maybe even educational if you're being guided by someone that understands chemistry. Issues: performs poorly when you have any reasonable amount of stuff, and has no guide for what cool things you can do with it. Makes me feel like I have to watch tutorials on YouTube but that's not fun at all.
It's a really nice educational app but I would suggest to provide tutorial because I downloaded it today but it took very much time to understand because almost all times reactions were not shown and my elements and compounds were going down the screen so I wasn't able to see any elements or compounds and the burner was not working. So in the next update please fix the issue.
Well everything is fine. Just maybe you could add a note function where we can see all the equations during the reaction between two substances or more. That way, we don't have to redo the experiment again. Also, whenever an equation pops up, it quickly fades away without me having the chance to look at it properly. Do wish that you guys could fix that. Suggestion: 1) Add a function where all the equations will be stored 2) Do a guide telling us what kind of reactions are we able to make Thanks
I know nothing of science/chemistry, but this stuff is so interesting. Been looking for a game like this since smart phones came out & never found anything, till now. I like it so much that, I paid for the tools. Sorry, can't afford the "chemist" app, totally would love too. Any way, I was just on it & it's not behaving properly? Substances weren't in alphabetical order. I had a lot of issue trying to get the blender on-screen The color seemed off.
The app is great and just for 79p getting the rest of the tools is really worth it. However, with this phone the app doesn't fully show and there's a cut. I didn't even know it was possible to see the cooler/heater etc until I used a full screen mode on my Honor 9X and realised how much screen I couldn't see on my pixel 4a(5g).
I really like it and find it all very interesting, but I think it may be helpful for those who are not familiar with the more scientific naming of elements or such maybe general names would be good. And an option to adjust the background color from black. It's also a little hard to control how much liquid you're putting it. Once you click on one you have to basically catch it to put a continuous stream in and you can't see it very well on a black backdrop. But other than that I really enjoy it.
Love this app, great fun to chuck chemicals into a beaker and see what happens. In the beginning I had the issue of not being able to see the bottom half of the beaker but that sorted itself out, and I like how there's no instructions so you can just try and figure it out yourself, and the match is funky w/ it's hydrogen explosión and it's changing colour based on the elements, I like this app a lot
I bought the filter, blender and cooler. A while back each for 99cents, I try the app out after not using it for a while, and I can't use any of them. The app was updated, and now all tools could be unlocked for 99c, but I already payed 2.97 and I don't even have the content I payed for because of the update. Complete scam.
I made a purchase on this app some time ago. Several problems have come up: for one, the bottom of the beaker is off-screen, making any operations difficult. Secondly, I practically don't own what I purchased. I press on, say, filter, and it asks me to pay $0.99. I press, and it says I own it. Very poor, can't even get a refund.
It is An actual tragedy that this app doesnt work right. This app is fantastic, but is almost unusable because the app draws the bottom of the beaker beyonf the bottom of the screen on my phone (galaxy s20). This app is fantastic, but because of this, its almost unusable. Whats the point of chemistry if i cannot see my reageants or products.
Great app, but has a major problem on bigger screens, (image doesn't fully display) and I doubt the devs are going to do anything, because they last updated the game 4 years ago. Would recommend if it would work for all people.
As many other users have pointed out, suddenly the beaker is much larger than phone screen, so when the burner is placed, there is no way to see the bottom of the screen. As a frequent user of this app for 3 years now, I join with the others to PLEAD the devs to FIX THIS BUG!!! Please!!! Otherwise this app is entirely unusable.
The app hasn't been updated in a long time, and sadly for screens, where the edges are rounded, this doesn't work very well. Now on older what I mean is that part of the app/UI, is now covered by the the "round" on morden smartphone screens. However if you still got an older phone with just normal non-rounded screen, this app works fine, and is a lot of fun.
It's a cool app but I wish it had a "light mode". It's often impossible to see anything because of the dark design. Also some cool experiment ideas would be nice.
Fun and interesting game. I enjoyed playing it when (see below) gesture controls weren't causing me to hit the back or recents key or trying to bring in the notification shade I could see what I was doing the black background can be difficult to see in bright areas I had two crashes and several laggy moments Overall a cool game but also could use more resources to what chemicals do when you mix them also a discovered tab would be nice
It s a good app that is very accurate but with new phones like the moto one 5g uw it becomes less accessible. Due to how the backspace, tabs, and home works it basically takes away the ability to even see the bottom and the tools wont pop up because the button funtcion, with all of that said it's really an amazing simulator but until it gets updated properly to adjust to the new age of android (and maybe more chemicals, always love the grandeur of the game) my review will stay a one star.
This is pretty great app when it works. The last update kind of broke it...the bottom of the beaker can't be seen any more and the descriptions of the elements can no longer be toggled. I've tried contacting support with no response. Would be 4 stars TBH but the the last update and the lack of support are kind of hobbling them.
The app is really helpful. Especially it has help me a lot in my chemistry practicals which I had missed during my college practicals. All the reactions are accurate and the simulation is perfect. The best thing aboit it is that it also shows the reactions in an easy manner to be able to understand.Still I would give 4 stars because it will be a lot better if all the tools are available for free but still the price for all those tools is pretty cheap.
it is fun to mess around with but even with the range of assorted chemicals there wasn't a lot of ones i was looking forward to playing with,, also same deal with the gasses, apart from ozone i haven't seen much from them :/ good for experimenting, but lacking in variety.
When I tried putting in chemicals, they just vanished. It turns out the "beaker" is much larger than the phone screen, so most of the chemicals aren't even visible, they're just laying offscreen. It seems like it all works, but it's very difficult to actually do anything because you have to throw in a lot of chemicals or shake the phone around.
