Beam

A lot of positives with this app, but once we entered a restricted zone it was hard to find how to get the scooter working again, the tiny unlock button was annoying. And as it uses GPS, you can already be halfway through a slow zone piling into peds before it slow down. :) Great concept, still got a few bugs to sort out in real life use. Also quite expensive, it should be slightly cheaper. I paid $7 or a very small ride, which may have been cheaper in a "Ride$hare" app

App is really unreliable. Got free time on Wesak Day to try it out but can't get it to work. Keeps giving notification that there's something wrong. Friend got it to work after trying a while and timer started counting. In the end he left me while I was still stuck there trying to get it to work because he didn't want to get charged while waiting for me. Second time tried it's ok, third time tried again same issue Terrible experience.

Overall good experience, I wish there will be more parking spot, sometimes it took me mins to find the parking spot. After the trip ended, I need to use half of the travel distance to walk to my destination due to the parking spot is quite far.

app is great but is plague by payment issue. They took RM40 "holding fees" from my account and still haven't give it back. Dont know for how long they going to "hold" the fees. contact CS, automated same copy paste replies. sometimes open ticket only to get rejected(immediately closed). app is good but you're risking paying more for their service. not recommended.

I absolutely love it, super easy, super fun and convinent. Only thing is the shock absorber is not good enough. You really have to be careful about road and slow down when road is even a little bad. Otherwise all the shaking from the riding will give you pain in elbow.

We did a double ride for 15 min, then we parked and locked our helmets, the scooters turned off, HOWEVER, when I clicked to finish trip, it did not finished and just displayed a blank screen, without any guidance. I called the help desk who just said it would turn off after 10min HOWEVER only one scooter turned off when the other got charging me for almost 2h when I was trying to click on finish button. When the app finally finished, it charged me 75$ for a 15 min double ride. I am upset.

I've contacted your customer service 3 times and received NO response. I have been charged 3 times for the same ride. Update: I have already given you the information you requested. By phone AND email. And all I've received is a weird internal email to your support team FROM your support team asking exactly what I have already asked for. This is ridiculous. Sort this out ASAP.

The only good thing about Beam is the bike suspension which is really awesome. The app is slow, glitchy, often fails to unlock helmet. The bikes often accelerate too fast and are more difficult to find than Neuron

Super fun and easy to use. Only issues are that Hobart is not a super bike friendly city. A lot of the times it takes 2 minutes just for the lights to change. And I don't feel comfortable on the road. Also you have to keep an eye on the map incase you go into a no ride zone But the bikes are very easy to use and accessible, I love that they have indicators. And I think it's a good price over all. I would recommend to friends if they are wanting to explore more of Hobart without a car.

Used a few times now, Scooters are fantastic ride area is a little confined for me liking however the app itself I found very buggy often having to restart the app 2 or 3 times just to end a trip resulting in having to pay for an extra 2/3 minutes.

Would given 5 star. Minus 1 for price. But if you have extra money, and take hotel nearby klcc or major attractions, then this is a must try! So easy to use. So convenient, the scooter is solidly powered. Enjoyed a lot going to breakfast from novotel to pelita via klcc, then pass by menara KL then back. SO MUCH FUN!! 🔥

I hired the scooter to save myself the walk home in the heat of the day. It just stopped a block from home. Apparently, I was operating outside the workable inclusion zone. Operational zones were not mentioned prior to travel. 😟 Most disappointing. I was left stranded with a further block to walk, with groceries.

Good transport. It's a shame about the curfew tho(NOT BEAMS FAULT, ITS NZTA FAULT). I work late so I can't use them after 11pm in auckland but I finish at midnight 🤦. I think beam should do exemption passes for those who use the service for work travel purposes. If this happened I would apply straight away!!

Auto renew on the universal pass meant I was charged again for a service I can't use because I only needed it while on holiday. So frustrating that it took it from being an affordable option to twice as expensive.

Everytime I have used Beams they have been loads of fun, until the next day when they keep charging my card... Everytime I have used them they always take double the payment 24hrs later it is ridiculous. The call line is very helpful and is quick to respond to the overpayments however this is very frustrating to go through literally everytime

Amazing experience everything is super easy to use from the app to the scooters, every aspect comes together to make an anazing platform which anyone could use. when these scooters are on the faster mode they go 25kmh. which is faster than other escooter share apps. some of the beam scooter even have indicators which are very helpful. I used these scooters in canberra, I had an amazing time riding around the lake. If these scooters are in your area i highly reccomend checking them out!

Was good. But now up to 6 rejections with multiple solutions found. I need to get home in a hurry and this service is wasting my time.

Love the app and using the scoots, but when there's no ride zones and the scooter won't let you ride out, it's frustrating. Also some bad experiences with the helmets. Have fallen off or won't tighten enough to stay on

Great App, especially good with the Passes and also for University students in New Zealand as it gives more discount. Also love the quick responses to issues with devices and BEAM is always looking at issues from the customer side. Easy to use App.

Too bad that it only take card for the payment method. I was hoping to give it a try but immediately uninstall the app. Hope they'll add others type of payment in the future but for now I'll refrain from using it.

Use Neuron!! You'll spend half your trip just looking for a place to park and the other half travelling through low speed zones. Biggest waste of money.

I am so happy with the service provision that i come here to give review. I never gave review in the past on any apps because the work going back to the seller giving the service or product is something i don't like. But BEAM, you make me come back to tell you that I love your product! Me and my family we went BEAM ride from KLCC to KL tower and we climb Bukit Nenas! The scooter memang power! It's segway by the way..🤭 pst, please work on the apps responsiveness, it took me 5 minutes to load.tq

Worst experience ever, scooters didn't work properly and the alarm went off warning that the police will be attending, well it sounds like that's what it was saying, very frustrating as a first time user, I will let others know that this was not a good experience.

Won't allow you add payment without your actual card number. Who carries their cards these days! The rivals have Google Pay and PayPal options, guess I use them so.

Convenient and excellent experience, was trying for the 1st time in Taman Tasik Cyberjaya, app was easy to use and added fun for our family picnic, will return again for sure👍

So good fun to use and quick. Only down side is the phone holder is a little bit unsafe as my phone came out and cracked but apart from that the scooter is so good
