Beat Racer

There's a lot to love about this game: the music selection is 👍; the gesture movement is mostly responsive (save for those pesky enemies that appear behind you); and the upgrade system is fair. Where it stumbles a bit is with the ad-free option that you can purchase: while it removes most of the ads, you still have to deal with the occasional nudges to watch a video to get more coins (oh, how I hate Lords Mobile ads). The devs should consider removing completely any ad.

So at first the game was fun. I like the idea of the game, but I just think it definitly could have been executed better, because things started getting annoying very quickly. The controls definitely need a bit of work. Its difficult to switch from lane to lane quickly if you want to get gems and move out of the way of spikes. Another thing is if you have a spaceship behind you, it will dodge to different lanes. Yes, its a challenging feature, but if it changes to a lane that has spikes, you can't move to that lane and kill the spaceship or you will run into the spikes. Then, before you know it, the spaceship has already gotten you when you couldn't even move to kill it. There are also more small things that are anoying, like how the jump is a little too long/high. And also how the signs on the side of the road block my car and I don't see where I'm going, ect. Just things like that makes it tedious to play and enjoy the game.

This is a great game overall. I love the integration of the enemy coming behind trying to kill you while still being on beat. The music is great and the controls are fine when you get used to it. My time playing this game was cool but my only gripe is that your save deletes after you haven't played in a long time. This was very creative and fun to play.

Controls need a bit of work, imo, just not that accurate; sometimes swiping 'backwards' swipes 'forwards' and you can't change lanes midair, which seems to be necessary with more difficult/complex levels (I don't see how it's possible to get a perfect on the harder levels without this ability). I'd gladly pay more than the asking price for no Ads if these two items were fixed.

Such a decent little game that you don't NEED to spend money on, I don't mind games where paying money only speeds progression up, but doesn't offer extra benefits. To be honest, in games like this, even if you paid a load of money, all you'd do is unlock everything straight away, basically making playing the game pointless, because you're no longer playing for a reason. There's some really nice music in this game, and it's a very original and fun idea. Also, ad block, no ads at all...

It would be great if the little city parts were omitted, it causes huge lag spikes on some phones which then causes you to usually hit obstacles and lose. Also thr controls don't always respond. It eould be great if not for that. Oh and A LOT OF ADS. I get that that is what pays but when you exit a video ad, to then be taken to a still frame ad for a 30second timer, exit; then have another ad pop up, it gets annoying. Especially when cramped for time.

Loved it. Classic eye candy visuals. Amazing gameplay, controls and the best part, the music. One can choose the song to be played that's the best part I guess. And all the songs are literally so amazing even I downloaded those songs from the net after racing hours with those on the bg, coz some of those really became my favorite like forever now. Incredible seriously :)

been years since i first played this. tried this again today and im so sad to see that the controls haven't improved much. this game still causes lag spikes on my phone. low quality option should omit some of the scenery to help. there should also be an option to have hybrid controls between the swipe and tap. but still its a great game.

The game is great, but there is one big issue that I hope the developers will fix. The beat balls keep appearing inside of the spikes, so it gets annoying that whenever you want to do a perfect run an orb appears inside of a spike and you can't collect it without touching the spikes. Please fix this!

Amazing gameplay with good graphics and songs as well. The only issue is unable to save the game. I have downloaded this game many times but the game does not save the progress even if logged in to google play games. Anyways its still the best and i have unlocked all the cars and almost complete all the stages and world.Expecting for more music. Thanks Zplay.

Way too many ads. After every single level even if you dont even finish it? Will update if this improves because it's otherwise a simple and addictive game with good music. TONS of spelling and grammatical errors but if you don't care about that it's fine

It was mostly just a meh game, not really fun for that long, the selection of songs aren't that great either. It's not bad to be a star and not ok to be 3 stars. Just... It exists I guess? Gameplay definitely needs improvement, like tapping on the screen as the car runs over a beat to actually play it. A better and more divers selection of genres would help too. I can only write so much untill I hit the limit, that being said this game needs much improvement.

I really like the game, but I have a major problem and annoyance; it keeps lagging and bugging after I hit a combo, and so when I swipe the whole thing freezes for a moment and it doesn't respond, so I miss coins and instantly lose the combo, making the level impossible for me to pass perfectly.

Updating my previous review : There's no cloud save (even though google play games integration is there) and also no restore purchase option. Please fix it. I lost all my progress starting from 3 years ago when I first played it and also my money invested. This is a horrible experience. Basic features are absent in this game. Please do the needful.

5 Stars just because of the music! They are very catchy and makes the game addicting. The way the game handles the diffuculty levels make this fun and challenging. Awesome job on the color scemes in the game, its super calming. Love how the price on the packs could be a bit lower but overall... Love it! 😄💙

This game is freaking awesome!! Best way to enjoy and kill your time. But there is just one issue. When you go to the stage menu where one can select and buy the songs, the app becomes laggy. Otherwise it's great! Kudos!!

It seems like a fun game but we minutes in I get ads, barely even get to try it fast before ya hit me. Then you want 3 bucks to get rid of ads...which we need to do to even really test the game? That's absurd I would have paid a dollar to test it out and, if I liked it, spent more on the other stuff but not gonna spend 3 just to be able to try a game without ads after every race

nice game but the controls can be improved. the swipe can be so unresponsive at times and the tap buttons have no customization in them. Would like to move them separately and change their size. the songs are nice and the concept is great but the controls make it hard to play for me.

Sincerely this game deserves more than three stars. But because of some minor glitches like when I play the challenge and the mega large destructive screw( not sure if that's what it's called) suddenly crashes your car from nowhere without even tailing you. Seriously you got fix that.

Whenever I open the game it's just a black screen please fix this issue because this game does look really fun but I can't play, I have tried reinstalling and restarting my phone and nothing works please fix. And then I should be able to give this game a better rating thank you.

Great game but past the first few levels it's unrealistically difficult. It's too much to dodge the barriers and fight off the enemy ship when everything is clustered together so tight. Stopped playing because if this.

It's great! The graphics are perfect and the controls are great but in the beginner levels there are to many obstacles. It's great for challenge but just lower the difficulty a little bit.

Definitely one of my favorite games of this kind, just wished the swiping would be as rhythmic as the lights and "beats". Hopefully there will be more songs added some day, but overall a very well designed app 👌🏼
