There's some mischief going on here. I have been a longtime user of Beautiful Widgets Pro until I took a look at the last update date - 2016. I installed and logged into this and still I'm asked to pay once again for pro features that I long paid for. And not just once, but twice - the first time to unlock Pro features (BW+) in their words and a second time to remove adverts. Did I say mischief? The right word is highway robbery.
This USED to be the ultimate time & weather widget. Had it for years. Now all of a sudden CONNECTION ISSUES?? Everything is set the right way. I've rebooted, uninstalled & reinstalled. It still will not give the correct time or the correct temperature on both of my phones. And I have no issues whatsoever with any of my other apps. If anybody knows of a SIMILAR widget p l e a s e let me know via Facebook messenger. Thank You & much appreciated.
I downloaded because it was recommended by the developer of the LCARS launcher app. My intent was to use a fitting clock. Sure enough it looks great and first the theme. Problem is, it's stuck on a time zone somewhere in the far east and there's no way to set it. The geo-location simply will not work unless you pay for the app. Classic bait-and-switch. Don't waste your time and memory space.
This was my go-to home screen app. Recently my Note 8 and Note 9 have been having problems. The time won't update on them. I even wiped my phone to fix the problem. It helped for a few days now back to the same thing. I think the company is out of business. The help desk is gone. Last post on Fakebook was years ago and no life on Twitter. I wish there was another app like this one. Guess I'll have to look around. Very sad this thing is all glitchy and not supported. :(
I had this widget for years. Loved it...I had to reinstall it once before and had to pay for it again even though it was beautiful widgets mistakes in the app. So i paid. Now... the clock's weather part doesn't show. I tried many styles, rebooted phone, etc...No luck. I uninstalled beautiful widget thinking i could clear something up. NOW THEY WANT MORE MONEY LOL! beautiful widget owes me a working app for FREE since i paid twice for their mistakes!
I downloaded this to use with the Total Interface Star Trek theme for my phone. But it will not let me sign in, so I can't use the widget :/ Also, I cannot use it for the weather widgit even normally because it says it's having connection issues (but my connection is strong and stable. )
Seriously what the heck happened to this once back in the day great app? It's absolutely shameful now seeing what's in it compared to what talent and skill people used to have making widgets! For a first time ever I've cancelled the use of any widget going on screen there that bad now! I used to use this app just about 3 year ago going back for years it was great even had the paid one but trying it again oh waw just away to get uninstalled! It's actually sad to see the state of it now!
I used to have an app called HD Widgets and it worked wonderfully thru 3 Android phones. And was free. Now I have to get another phone and I can't find it on Google Play any more. So I get this POS and actually PAID for it. It won't keep time or weather, can't change the skin,etc. Avoid this author at all costs!
Was fine until Android firmware upgrade (on Samsung, anyway) a little while ago. Now the widget still works, but when it comes to the clock, can only see the default one on the home screen (Nova Launcher). All the other aspects still work fine. Gonna be a deal breaker. Widgets not updating after Android Pie update. Settings...Apps...BeautifulWidgets...Battery...Optimize battery usage... If beautifulwidgets is not in the list goto the top dropdown "Apps not optimized".. -> change too All. Look for BeautifulWidgets.. shut off, to the left,. back up to the previous page..look for "Allow background activity" it should read "Background battery can't be restricted. Widget now works fine on Galaxy S9+.
I've had this for years but for the last while it does not update the time or weather anymore on my home screen. Half the time when I manually go into it to actually reset time and weather it says it can't find connection. Bummer.
2 stars for okay clock, but without the weather it ruins the aesthetics for some reason as the various ratios get messed up. So the issue is my brand new s10+ is unable to geolocate my position thus no weather thus crappy clock. Weather works fine on all other apps so I would advise staying clear of this one.
was great until Android Pie update. now the clock doesn't work, it stays at a stagnant time even though system click advances and move list my upgrade to no ads and customizations. system just spins if i attempt to log in. hoping all will be resolved as i have used and lived app for several years prior to this week's failures
They have some very nice free designs to customize your widget. But the widget doesnt work once its plaved. The weather wont load or show anything but question marks and the clock wont set to the right time either. pretty to look at but useless. bummer :(
I used to love this app until I got a new phone and when I was installing the app it insisted on having access to all my phone calls, contacts, etc. Totally intrusive and unnecessary for a screen saver. No thanks!
I've never had a problem with this app before, but I've recently downloaded it onto my note 8 and it's not displaying the correct time. I've tried uninstalling it and everything I could think of but it's still wrong. I don't know what else to do ):
My favourite widget, using for a few years. A recent problem where the clock was not updating like others, but the fix for me was to go to "Optomise battery usage" in phone settings and switch this OFF for the widget, now all working again!
What a load of rubbish🙄 looked great on a said YouTube review - even paid for the pro version! The app is difficult to navigate through and the widgets don't even refresh. Very dated introduction - the development of this app seems non existant.
Note10. I gave 3 stars for 1 reason. Apparently it's been discontinued or something. It would be 5 stars as this is 1 of the best clock widget apps I've ever used and been using this app for a very long time. It's really disappointing because this was such a strong app but now on newer phones the app gets glitchy.
Best weather app in da store.. Used it on my first andriod phone waay back in 2011 and still using it. Really love the weather animation shown when unlocking the screen. Makes it stand out from the rest.. Highly recommended..
I download this on every phone I've had i bought the premium years ago & still use it. Check it out. Pretty cool how you can set different apps to open when u press different places on widget screen (weather.. Date to open calendar)
I actually have used this app for years. Like the clock /weather and refresh on wake for free version. Problem is that the temp has been stuck for a week or two at 38 degrees. Also if it's night the moon icon is up if it's day it's the sun. There is no rain, fog, wind, any other type of weather icon. Mainly I'm just mad about the temp not refreshing for two weeks. Even with a manual update it says it's unable to refresh because of a connection issue. Will change my rating once this is fixed!
