App is Very useful for general study. Dislike the interaction with the textbook. Would prefer it to be more interactive or like a true ebook.
I am currently experiencing some forward issues on the app for apple/Android devices. When I click to forward any lecture, it starts all over again
I like your application, it valuable, but I don't enjoy it when it come to reading the book, I prefer to use another application like bookshelf or play books in Google. Where there I can change the background colour and font size. 😁 But beaker is very good in another things.
Edit - my app is working again. I love it. It allows me to study without having to sit at my computer desk. There are a few things that are easier to do at a computer, but overall it's great. Thanks for fixing it! --- I first downloaded this app in July and it worked great. Today it logged me out. When I logged back in it had erased all of my progress, and I couldnt access any of the content. I have tried reinstalling it and that didn't help. Please fix this!
Love the integration with the online portal. It mirrors what you're used to, and it's nice to have progress transfer from app to website (which is unfortunately not a feature everyone offers). The only thing I would be interested in is a more mobile-friendly e-book (have the text conform to the screen when zooming). But physical textbook works too!
Very helpful because i can downlosd the book itself and study anywhere. However i do wish i am able to write my notes on the downloaded file just as i were to do it on my textbook. It is not easy to bring my textbook around and i hoped to study while i commute to work or at work on my tablet itself. Hoping the app can provide additional support on this matter. I tried to use the highlight and notes options but it wont work as i think it does not recognize the words.
The app is very easy to use, but where are the sims in each module? It keeps saying I'm only 75% through module 1 and all that are left are the sims, but there is no way to access them that I can find. Additionally, as others have stated, you can't minimize the video list that lays over the text, but since I follow along in my textbook it is not a deal breaker for me. I do understand how frustrating it would be if I was not able to do so though.
Unable to access task based sims on mobile app. Tried clearing cache and reinstalling app and restarting phone but to no avail.
Please fix the forward issue... when youbplay the lecture you can not forward lecture you can only rewind
Great App with 2 issues. First if I start doing MC using app but then I switch it back to laptop, I will lose progress. Second, it's hard to work on, or impossible to work on, simulation tasks on app. Overall great addition, and makes it easier for me to study during commute.
App works very well. I wish that I could access the sims and the skill master videos. otherwise this is a great app! I have a Galaxy 6 so I can use my calculator and the app simultaneously. it would be easier for the MCQs if the in app calculator feature would share the screen for other devices.
Tim Gearty is useless. I don't need a "lecturer" who reads off the pages and tells me to underline text that I could've done by myself. Also, please fix the audio. It's significantly lower than all other apps.
the app works well for the most part. it's easy enough to navigate and use on the go for some brief study sessions. The flash cards could really use a link to the textbook that's relevant to the card.
Its great, but needs some improvements. One area is, i am using pixel 4A and when i open practice session i waill not be able to exit it as the exit button will be out of my screen far to the right and doesn't display.
Great for flash cards when you have a bit of down time. Lectures are not the greatest since you can't minimize the audio to read along. All around very helpful
The Becker app has helped me study for the exams. it can be used to read flashcards, view/listen to lectures and answer multiple choice. very user friendly.
The app is great to be able to do MCQs or listen to lectures while on the go.
The app is easy to use and I appreciate how well the app breaks down studying into smaller segments. The immediate feedback as well as explanations on the MCQs and exercises helps too.
I do not like how it auto-rotates even when my phone is locked on portrait mode. Also, it's a pain to have to log out and sign in every time to sync progress.
This app is so slow and it wont let me access my sections. It says i havent done any yet but im almost half way though and its not showing any progress. Its not functional at all. The iPhone app works great, its just the Android app that sucks.
Just about everything that is in the desktop version is in the app. Make sure to download the sections you plan to study before leaving home because you can't study without downloading content.
Works great and is a great functional resource. Have had some compatibility issues running the app on a chromebook, but no other complaints.
Crashes every time I try to do MC problems. Also, for how much we are paying for review , I would hope they could figure out how to make the volume consistent from page to page.
Good app but sometimes syncing progress issues. The progress I make in the app does not match the progress I have if I use the browser in a PC
Edit: Customer support fixed the app within 24 hours! changed my rating to 5 stars accordingly. Old review: Great app, but the recent update erases all of your progress and makes it literally unusable. The sidebar is there, but nothing loads. You can't access anything. Please fix asap!
Would be nice if they incorporated an audio only feature on the app, instead of having to use the lecture portion.
***EDIT: Hey Becker!!! Why can't just do multiple choice questions? Why MUST I download the module??? When you initially download the app and open your first section it prompts you to "download" or "decide later". When you press "decide later" it returns you back to the previous screen, until you opt to "download". This should not be a design.
Honestly, its pretty damn good. Runs smoothly. Videos play. Multiple choice is easy to read and answer. Great app.
Was working great at first, now app won't open. Tried to uninstall and reinstall with no luck :( Edit: becker has resolved the issue and the app works great now!
I find it passable. The big issue I have is that if you're listening to it on your phone you can't pause and fast forward or rewind the lectures by clicking your headphones, you have to actually click the screen. Also, it no longer plays when the screen blacks out, so it isn't battery friendly.
