This is an AMAZING replacement for one of my top favorite apps now GONE from play store called Mediahouse.. This app is simple, and easy, and simply browses your network for Dlna servers, then will open and play the videos with your choice of player i.e. VLC. The people rating this bad must think it's for casting or something... Must be simpletons.I finally found a Mediahouse replacement for free! Thanks!
Exactly what you want in a DLNA client, simple navigation and then redirection to your favorite player (e.g. VLC). No negatives found so far, but will update review if there are any.
It is good👍 for movies 🍿📽️, but might not support music🎶🎧. It doesn't support FLAC💔. Haven't checked other audio formats.

Can't play sounds at all, so absolutely not helpful
So far the best option for streaming recorded TV shows over local network because it shows details of each show. Minus one star for lack of UI customization like smaller thumbnails or dark theme and not being able to play music or pictures, only video.
