Lowered it to one star because it still won't connect to the play store to purchase bonus packs. It's been like this for over four years, intermittently I can uninstall and reinstall and get it to connect once, then it just goes off into oblivion again. Still nothing but crickets And now, the boost packs have gone up by $1, I can see that in the purchase section, but I still can't buy them because it hasn't worked in years!
Update...Changing to 1 star and uninstalling. Developers appear to be Absolutely unconcerned with all the complaints. annoying ads that continually run during the game. not only are they extremely distracting, (as the ad animation continues to play to get your attention) but they partially cover they game itself and I can't move or close the ads. normal pop up ads arent great, but this kind will keep me from playing.
This game HAS gotten worse as I play, for example: 1) Game freezes with each BIG combination of jewel explosions. 2) Score appears to be delayed or just not adding as jewels are eliminated; calculation is off. 3) The counter appears to go from 30 remaining seconds to "0" within a second robbing players of game time. 4) The game seem to deactivate moves close to run-out time, stopping elimination just as time runs out. Its all so annoying even for a free game. Lowering stars to 2.
Ad. Ad. Ad. This used to be my go-to app for tuning out and practicing pattern recognition. For a while now I've tried to get along with the incescent, repetitive, annoying ads that started appearing after a phone switch THAT YOU HAVE TO WAIT TO END before you can even click the X and start playing the game. I even tried to pay again to get rid of the ads. Wasn't working on the app when I tried so I'm uninstalling the app.
Bejeweled Classic is the Android port of Bejeweled 3, one of the best puzzle games ever made. Bejeweled 3 proper easily gets 5 stars or more, however, a few things hold Classic back. First is price - after unlocking all modes and removing ads, Classic is over twice the price of 3. Second, this version is missing Quest mode. The ultimate problem, though, is MICROTRANSACTIONS. Microtransactions aren't fun and they certainly don't belong anywhere near one of the best puzzle games ever made.
Man, I don't know who designed this app, but I've got some serious questions. First, why is this stuck in portrait? Was it only designed for tablets? The game sits on the right hand of the screen and the left is just blank space with parts filled by a small menu option at the bottom and a small score at the top. But they're so small. And the. Throughout the game very distracting ads pop up and cover the menu button 😂. I don't generally mind ads, but over the menu seems like a bad choice.
Been a fan of Bejewelled since it's conception. Have enjoyed it a lot. Yet this version is missing something and has to much of something else. Missing a rotating screen. Seems really silly considering what the game is. As many others have mentioned the adds are plenty. This was a 4 star at first but after the last play of it, reduced to a 1.
(- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! I play, or I should say I TRY to play the Butterfly one. But every time I try, it doesn't work right! The ads freeze for extra play. Or the game just freezes. You have to close the game out & restart it. And you're out your "play". And for the butterfly one, you're only allowed 5 turns + "ad time" IF You get it to work right. I used to LOVE playing this game. But after months of reports & nothing still being done, I'm deleting it.
Sadly, the latest update broke something with the touch inputs and thus basically rendered the whole thing unplayable. Every input through the touchscreen interacts with the game quite a bit higher than it should which makes it almost impossible to control anything. Un- and reinstalling doesn't fix the issue. Considering how long it's been since the latest update broke things, it seems the game will remain unplayable abandonware. Shame.
This has always been! My go-to game, since it was created. I even bought it! Now, I can't play it without constant ads, ads and more ads. I am now, finally uninstalling it on my phone for good. While it is goodbye for my phone, I found it on steam. I bought it once again, but am now confident on the steam platform they won't begin interrupt with ads.
I switched phones recently, and use Google Play Games, but my scores and achievements didn't transfer. No worries, I love playing so starting over was fine. Except on the Galaxy Note 20, it only plays in landscape. I would love for it to play in vertical mode since it's much easier to hold my phone that way.
Omg! I read the reviews and thought surely the ads can't be that bad on such a popular game. But wth?? Some of them are even several minutes long with no skipping! And literally EVERY TIME you pause, go to the main menu, go back to the game or anything! It's definitely not worth the time, hassle and irritation
Usually wonderful, classic game play, but it's been buggy lately. The ad function that let's you get free powerups or a free life is not working correctly. I'll play the ad and the extra time or free life, ect won't actually load or the ad won't play. Ibe repeatedly checked my internet connection and it's connected. Please address these concerns. This app is a staple on every phone I get.
Used to love this game played it all the time got a new phone downloaded it. I dont know if it was updated but the game. Is not the game i played for last 6 years. Now all there is is adds blocking half the screen soi cant even play the game. Try to remove add by paying to remove the adds so i could actually enjoy the game i loved for years and keeps telling me error. Since you changed it. I have no problem saying. The change is deffantly for the worse. I am so disapointed in what it has become.
I just wanted to inform u, that I'm uninstalling this game. It's worse than ever! The screen freezes, when u click to see an ad, I get a white screen. I have to reboot me phone, come back & still the same problem. Entirely, TOO MANY ads. Shyt is just ridiculous & this game is not messing up my phone. I'd give this game 1/2 a star if I could. But there's no option for that. And u ppl don't do anything to improve the player's experience. This is not the game I remember, from yrs ago!
Very frustrated with this game, every time I get up to a little over 3 million in points it freezes on me and drops me back down to zero. Also I noticed every time I get a cube the gyms fall forcing me to use the cube. It just appears to me that the game is rigged to make you lose so I'm going to stop playing and uninstall it.
Gameplay is fine. It's a classic that I find soothing. I would love a way to escape the relentless ads, especially since the ads play at a loud volume, either waking up others or cutting off the podcast, audiobook, or music that I was choosing to enjoy.
This has to be my favorite game of all time. I especially love the Zen mode. It is very calming and soothing, with its ambiental music and the fact that there is no time element or possibility to lose, but I really enjoy that you still keep levelling up anyways, which gives you a sense of accomplishment. Thank you, devs, for this wonderful game!
Enjoyed playing this again, but now it is plagued by ads that literally block half the board. There is no way to close the ad, you can't move the jewels behind the ad, and restarting does nothing to fix the issue. Uninstalling until the ads are no longer a game breaking issue.
The game itself works as well as it always has but the support is very lacking. I and many others that i've seen online have had similar problems that have been unaddressed. Even issues like the mtx not working can go unsolved. I've never played a game that didn't want to take my money, but I can't even give bejeweled classic anything.
There's a huge BUG that hasn't been corrected since a few years. Clearing gems before time is up, I see +25sec screen but right away it shows wanna add secs screen and then shows restart game! Happens on all time limit games. Very frustrating. Stopped playing a few years ago, updated and tried again but still same issue! Joy turns into disappointment. Also special gems doesn't blast as they supposed to be smts I was playing this game on pc, there was a sand game as well. Wud b gr8 if u add that
I loved when this game was setup vertically, would've given five stars. However, they set it up now so its automatically horizontal/landscape and well, frankly I hate it. At the very least there should be an option to have either or right? Nope. Well if there is that option it's really hard to find. Also, theres a really terrible iframe type box in the corner for more games. I get it, you've gotta advertise new stuff. Cool. But, the look of it doesn't mesh with the overall aesthetic.
The original jewel-match game plus new game options. Took a point off because I honestly have no idea how scores are determined. But I generally play to de-stress, so scoring doesn't matter to me.Small, unobtrusive banner ads at the top of the screen, and one video ad between games or switching back to main menu. So far I have not run into any demands to buy anything to play. That could change, but so far, so good.
It is a fun game, I really enjoy it. I'd give it 5 stars but there is an annoying glitch that causes it to freeze up periodically, especially when I make a very high scoring move. I have to exit it, go back in, click on resume game, wait for the ad to finish, then it starts me at the beginning of the level I was on before the glitch without the points I racked up before the freeze. That's pretty frustrating.
I enjoy playing this game, however, there seems to be flaws in scoring. And the 30 second end times being too soon. This Game seems to have a personality of it's own. I believe that it Cheats you out of your points and timing. And deliberately freezes, so that you can't score points when getting close to the end of an episode. It can be addicting, challenging and fun to play. But, Also frustrating when playing the highest level that is time limited. Points are not reflecting correctly.
I used to play Bejeweled on the computer when I was a kid and I loved it. I love the mobile version just as much, it's so nostalgic that I can't stop playing it. I love this game but I do wish they would update it and optimize the picture size to fit newer phones. It seems like the developers have just kind of given up and are letting the game fade into history, which is extremely sad. Anyway, fantastic game and a great time waster, especially if your a completionist like me. Also, try it on PC.
