Dont do it. Dont sign a contract. Service is poor; glitches are too many; no solutions provided after many calls and emails. Just threats that you have to pay a penalty to cancel.

Total garbage. Neither this app nor the website has all the features of the system available for modification. Depending on what you are looking to accomplish, you must use one or the other. I can't believe that Bell would leave it like this for so long. Edit to Bell's reply: I've reached out before. Nothing changes. The context is simple, you cannot access all the feature of the system on either the website or the app. What will contacting you privately do? Edit to 2nd Bell reply: Thank you for acknowledging my exact complaint. There is no way to manage your system in any one location. Not even the hardware panel from what I can tell. Who knows, though. You don't even supply documentation. Edit 3: Considering that I had to teach the last person I talked to what the difference between an Android app and a Windows app was (you can check you call logs. they are recorded for "quality purposes!”) and he refused to escalate the call when asked. As well, I had to show your installer/technician who came on-site how to do things like automate lights with motion detection when they were in-site three weeks ago, I have ZERO confidence that calling you will make any difference and will only aggravate me to no end. Calling you will not fix the app... unless you want me to write it for you.

It's okay. I feel like I don't get the best use out of it though. K forget to turn off the alarm system and open the door for work .I wish there was a timer option for alarms. What I mean is, I wish there was an off timer tht would switch off the alarm 30 or so minute before I leave the house. It would be a gr8 option for forgetful ppl like me!!

Updated review: I gave this app a negative review previously but a couple of months ago, an update fixed a lot of bugs. It is now working properly and reliably 95% of the time. It still hangs once in a while but for the most part, it's a terrific app with some really good functions. The only thing that would make it perfect would be the addition of a panic button. There is one on the keypad so the app should have one as well.

It works? Yes. Is it good? Far from it. My main issues with it so far are: - I cannot even see the difference between the Home, Sleep, Wake Up and Away Scenes, and how to customize them, and exactly how they interact with the Panel. The app itself and the Panel have very little integration - Forget about editing the capture window on your cameras in the app. - Actually forget about any video settings in the app - Geolocation range is minimum 3km. that's a monstrosity of a diameter.

Works great, never had any issues with it. The only thing I did find odd is the integrated weather, as my phone already does that, but you can remove it from the home screen, so no big deal. The only thing I would recommend, is adding the ability to upload pictures to the alarm panel from this app. Would make life easier.

Really quite rudimentary w v few useful features. If you record say, a half day of images of the home while you are away, you have to erase every image, individually. No 'erase all' feature. it takes literally, HOURS To delete the images. This is a $10 programming upgrade. Why not do it? Because they don't care.

It seems that a bug or something else prevents the end time on the temporary schedule to be saved. No matter what I do you are able to change the time but as soon as you save it it reverts to the current time!

A somewhat useless App! It may be fine as a sucurity app, I'm not using it for that purpose, the App came with my Smart Home package, and it is definitly not smart. You are not even able to set a timer to your lights or to your plugs, it seems all you can do is to turn things on and off in realtime. It's also not compatible with Alexa, rendering it practically useless as a Smart Home app. It's okay for my video doorbell, that's about it.

Consistently have a Malfunction alert. Does not specify what the malfunction is for, only states the model number of the Samsung device. Notifications don't come through, only after reinstalling the app multiple times. When I call for support, noone can help me, just bounce me around. Very disappointed.

Great app! Works well! It kept my 80 year old mom alive this past winter. She has Alzheimers and a habit of wondering outside at night. She would have froze to death if she did. I used this well designed app to monitor my parents house to make sure she didn't leave the house at night. I would give this app 10 stars if I could. Thx for keeping mom safe!

Camera barely ever shows, almost everytime I try to watch live video, it shows a black screen with the option to troubleshoot. Half of the time the camera does not even record, even if someone is right infront of it. Overall, not satisfied with my experience so far.

This app is awesome, it provides all the security one needs. All features are easily accessible. I wouldn't change service providers, no matter what. In comparison, Bell Media , is light-years ahead of their competitors Roger's Communication. Mainly due to their alliance with Alarm Force whom specialize in security and have been in business for years. Keep up the good work, your loyal customer Kevin R

From a security perspective....it's nice to have the buttons on homescreen for easy access but...To ave a security system app there should be a way to put the front camera screens on clients homescreens so there is consistent monitoring.

I'm constantly getting emails, almost 1000 in 3 days! If a leaf blows across the yard its recorded, but I can come and go through the same area and its rarely recorded. Even our vehicles very seldom trigger the system as well. Its a waste of money and a lot of bother deleting myriad of useless emails. I hate it and will be calling Bell to either cancel or do something about the sensitivity.

app not communicating properly with device for two months now. long delays sending arming /disarming signals from all devices which are up-to-date with the latest patches and app version. this is an issue over bell WiFi and different carriers LTE

Avoid at all costs. Bell is not to be trusted. Three year contract where they expect me to pay, but its fine if the service I pay for doesn't work as advertised. Extremely frustrated with their "Smart" devices that we can't rely on. Company insists the failure is due to me having a tree on my property, and that I can't maintain a clear sky above my house all of the time (???!!!?!). Again, do yourself a favor, AVOID!

I just installed the system and have had to reinstall the app many times and I still cannot connect. After reading multiple reviews I see this has been an on going issue that bell still has not resolved therfore the app us useless if you can't use it

Have had these 2 cameras a little over 24 hours and they have been nothing but a nightmare!!!!! They record when they want. The idea was to have surveillance cameras to catch the next time I get broken in, But when they only come on when they want to I may not catch the next time I get broken into. I had Roger's cameras for over 2 years not an issue with them. I will not be having these cameras very long.

This app doesn't allow you to call for emergency services like police or fire (you can only do it from the control panel). If something happens and you are not close to the control panel, you can't call for help. This makes the app completely useless. This feature really needs to be added.

Slow to load any page on the app, doesn't load live videos unless I'm on my home wifi. Also would be nice to have the option for clips longer than 30 seconds.

The app is great, it's just missing the scheduling feature. I should be able to schedule the security to arm at certain times. Please add this feature...

Absolute worst decision I've ever made was signing up with this unprofessional, money grabbing company. Had nothing but problems from day one. The past sat night my car was broken into and again no video footage.. It takes hundares of shots if snow /rain constantly ..and this goes against your lot amount if it goes over you have to pay.. Have had smart home for a couple years now and the camera stops recording regularly. Now it's not recording anything. I get an in app alert something is in view but never records anything it's garbage

Door bell camera only records when it wants to. Never records my news paper being delivered. Doesn't record deliveries unless someone rings the doorbell. If at my cottage and I get an notification that "motion at my front door is detected". Never records any images. Not useful.

the inability to manage camera notifications from the app is beyond frustrating when traveling. also, the "live" view does not function.

Great app. Easy-to-use. After a couple hiccups and a few calls to the support team that are very helpful and solved every issue. They are very knowledgeable and patient.

Bell Smarthome is not good at all. It is garbage if Dennis and I were not on a contract I would getbrid of it. Like we had Bell Here 3x over this system tha is garbage. It doesn't record you can't see its blurry. It don't work half the time. Ppl not worth it at all. Buy something else that's worthy

Very poor technology this APP and bell home security I will cancel soon my plan , I'm wasting my money for poor camera from Bell. I can install my personal home security sytems with the best technology and not pay each month
