UPDATE AGAIN: App seems to work correctly now. Unfortunately, I no longer use Uber due to endless issues and I don't need this app for just Lyft.
They send non stop marketing notifications even though I turned off all notifications. Also, their price for Curb is not correct. Instead it takes you to the Curb app to book and once inside Curb you have to start all over again. **Response to devs: No I did not turn off the notifications from my phone. I figured turning notifications toggles to off on the Bellhop app meant turning the notifications off, like the toggle labels stated. If the toggles on the app do nothing, you should remove them.
I love the concept, and it's pretty cool that you can link your account so that discount pricing applies, but the app isn't very dependable. Often when I open it, all I see is an orange screen forever. Force quitting helps, but this is very irritating.
The idea is great, the UI seems good too, support was very quick and responsive. However, the app doesn't account for discounts and promotions for many ridesharing apps (all except Uber in Australia) so the pricing estimates are mostly incorrect. Would happily give 5 stars otherwise.
I have found critical bug, 1) I have installed the Bellhop app 2) I have opened the Bellhop then I exit the app. 3) The next time I have opened the app, I just see blank orange screen and I can not use the app anymore. I'm not sure if it is only me, I have a galaxy note 10 with the latest Android OS. Can you fix this issue? This is an amazing app.
Really good service, but it seems that everytime there's an update, I have to keep relinking my Uber and Lyft accounts because the app doesn't save the information. I've had to do this quite a few times. Wish this can be fixed.
So far so good. Only used it once so not sure about pricing. But you have to link ur lyft and uber accts on bellhop to synchronize it. Although i found that sometimes when i pull up the app its just an orange screen and i cant use the app for awhile.
Very handy app but it does not take into account any promotional discounts you may have with the ride providers so the price comparisons are not always accurate. I'd give it 5 stars if it had that feature.
Great app. Incorporates my discounts for both Uber and Lyft, so the pricing's accurate. UI works well, and when I choose a provider, the price in the Lyft/Uber app matches what Bellhop quotes. Saves me quite a bit of money.
I would give this more than 2 stars if I was 1. able to link Uber to it and 2. able to link more than JUST Uber. For an app developed in NZ, and my residing in NZ, I did expect a bit better than that - especially when Ola is shown in screenshots of the app in the play store.
Nice idea, but I consistently get better rates looking at the Lyft and Uber apps. I might keep it for the off chance it gives me a better price one day, but so far I've been better off doing my own price comparisons.
not all public payment options are available. I have credit and debit cards mostly from newer fintechs but they're Mastercard and Visas so it's kinda stupid when you won't take my money.
Yeah I'm hooked! Friction free experience. If you're like me, you usually open Uber, enter your destination, record the best rate, then repeat the same process on Lyft. Obi makes these annoying steps much more enjoyable. Strongly recommended!
useful on airports and high density places
Fantastic app! Super user friendly and accurate, and really provides an essential service in comparing prices and arrival times of Uber, Kapten, Ola etc.
the one issue I have with bellhop is that unlike in the Uber and Lyft apps when you can add multiple stops you cannot do this through bellhop to get the proper pricing
Better app to use for both Uber and Lyft. This finds you the cheapest price of both, even on the Uber app. Highly recommend this app if you need to find the cheaper ride.
Obviously, you do need to download the other ride-sharing apps to actually book the rides, but it works pretty well.
Appreciate the capability to compare all Lyft, Uber and taxi rates in my market. Ease of use to view different option platforms with price differences, estimated arrival and destination times
This app adds absolutely no value. Google maps already provides (mildly) accurate price comparison between Uber and lyft. Edit: yes I did link my accounts
It might be good but I don't like giving unfamiliar apps access to my accounts. Also, with Uber, I use their Comfort ride which this app does not have.
Warning this app is scamming do not use or add a payment method to it they are robbing people and good luck trying to get your money back if you do use it they only respond every 4 hours and there only open for 8 hours of the day
I find that the rates are higher and inaccurate. If you compare the same trip in Obi and Uber, Uber is always less.
Love the app and the comparison seems to work well. Updated review to 5 stars because the dev team was responsive and fixed the bug I reported pretty quickly.
