The Beltone HearMax™ app is compatible with the following hearing aids:

The Beltone HearMax app lets you control your hearing aids directly from your mobile device. You can change programs, and make simple or more advanced sound adjustments and save them as favorites. The app helps you learn what you can do and how to do it. It can even help you find your hearing aids if you lose them. Last, but not least, you can have your hearing care professional update your hearing aid programs and send you new hearing aid software without taking a trip to the clinic.

My beltone hearing aids are a huge improvement over the phone act ones that I had before, but this app is extremely disappointing. Every day I put my hearing aids in then have to open the app sometimes two or three times before it actually opens, then wait for the hearing aids to connect to the app, and then turn the goddamn noise filter back on. Maybe I'm missing something really obvious but you think that would be an option that it would default to if you wanted. There's more but I'm out of ch

I bought from Beltone BECAUSE of their app and their rep. "Zack" was recommended. Zack is great, but their app is terrible. It keeps disconnecting and won't reconnect both aids. They were sent off to be worked on, and now the left shows up as the right and the right shows as left. If this isn't corrected soon, I definitely won't ever buy from them again, and I can't recommend them to anyone.

Worthless. I tried on three different devices and none would connect to my hearing aids. Sometimes it would get to the last step of connecting and give a message "something went wrong!". Duh. No other explanation. Just " try again". Worthless.

Hearing aids will NOT stay connected. And when they disconnect they will not attempt to reconnect until both the phone and hearing aids are rebooted. Hearing aids that cost $8000 should NOT have issues connecting to a smartphone. Beltone really needs to find some software developers that know how to program apps !!!!

Software for these hearing aids is horrible at best. One hearing aid randomly disconnects. Then takes between 8 and 10 tries to reconnect. This entails unpairing them. Force stopping the app. Over and over. What a joke for the price i paid. Will most likely NEVER but beltone again. Store rep sold me up the river saying" oh they work with every Android phone". No no they don't do your research. I would have never bought these knowing they wouldn't work with my device. But beware. Don't buy

When the app works its easy to use for adjustments. But like many others say Bluetooth connection has always been flaky with my S20+. Since Android 12 I lose one HA connection at least once a day. Rather than re-pair through the app PITA I just use Samsung bluetooth settings to reselect and then the app recognises both simply.

The app seems to disconnect from the hearing aids and will make the hearing aid to reboot when you least expect it too. My new hearing aids ie the Rely is by far the worst ones I have own yet. Would not recommend the Rely hearing aid to anyone. One went bad and had to almost fight with the Audiologist to get the issue resolved. Had to go into the office 3 times to finally get the Audiologist to tell me that the left aid was defective. He first told me I had water buildup in the inner ear from allergy's which I knew different. Both the app and the aids both need to be redesigned for the everyday poor man who can not afford $5000.00 to just hear.

This app is truly not worth the daily hassle... I have to reconnect multiple times a day, delete and reinstall the app several times a month. The concept and form are great, but the execution and connection to the devices are abysmal.

Competely usable. I currently have no control over my hearing aids what so ever. The app looks for them and may get half way before returning an error. I rely on these to function so can't recommend this to anyone.

WHY DID YOU BREAK THE APP!!!! STAYS ON DEMO LOOP!! Wants to keep pairing EVEN AFTER PAIRED BY APP. Deleted pairing and repaired with APP. Updated hearing Aid firmware, rebooted hearing aids and phone multiple times, APP STILL BROKEN. I have used this APP for two years not unfamiliar with it on this phone 9 months.

Disgusted! I give Beltone and HearMax a zero, Amaze a 10 but 0 with android. Use Beltone Amaze aids, Android Samsung S9+, HearMax app. Aids function without the app only by selecting fixed 4 programs manually. No access to the many great functions in the Amaze aid. Useless. Issue is connectivity. App and connectivity work on an iPhone but DOES NOT WORK ON THE ANDROID. Beltone advertises it will, BUT IT WILL NOT. Do not buy the Amaze if you use Android. Has anyone found a Beltone alternative?

Disconnect Issues Those of you having Disconnect Issues. It's actually a battery saving default built into the app. So if you need to simply change your settings. You can use the button on your hearing aids and change. Or Simply reconnect change your settings. Once the app is idle for a set amount of time it will Disconnect. To save your phone battery. This is how my Provider Carey explained the happenings to me.

Worst app ever. I have to constantly reconnect my hearing aids. Aids don't stay at the desired settings either. App really doesn't even deserve a rating of 1 ⭐ but I had to give something.

It worked pretty well for about a month. I enjoyed being able to change to 'Restaurant' environment and take calls through my hearing aids. Then my Galaxy S20, Android 12,downloaded a software update. Now, one or the other of the aids will lose its connection - often in the middle of a call or while streaming. The app WILL NOT reliably keep its bluetooth connection! Unpairing/re-pairing several times every day to restore the connection is not worth the aggravation. Fuggedaboutit!

I just recently changed to a Samsung S21 5G phone. Some features seem more stable but the connection to the hearing aids is terrible. It constantly looses connection to one or the other side and the only way I have found to get them to both re-connect is to reboot the phone. This is a huge annoyance. Please check if there are issues with connecting with this phone and correct the issue asap.

This app is useless. Constantly disconnects from blue tooth which disconnects hearing aid from the app. When disconnected the app highjacks my phone and I do not get audible tones for incoming calls or texts and cannot stream anything. Defeats the whole purpose of the app. I have worked with hearing aid professional and tech rep to no avail. Have contacted customer service, provided info on all my issues was told i would get a call back and never did. Very disappointed.

Not happy with how this works with my new Galaxy S21 5G. It keeps dropping its connection and the only way to fix it is to restart the phone. I know it's not the end of the world but it is really annoying when you consider it's supporting a very expensive medical device.

I wish I could get the full app to work. When I watch the demo, there are multiple options for programs, but when I actually use the app, only the normal and restaurant programs work. I tried installing on my old HTC phone to see if it would work on that rather than my Samsung Galaxy S7, but no dice. I am very disappointed that I can't get it to work.

When this app works, it's great. The WHEN is the problem. It takes forever for the Bluetooth to pair up and then usually only one pairs. I did send a message to the app help addy but received no response. My last pair of hearing aids ( Seimans) worked flawlessly and cost much less. I had high hopes going in based on others' experience but I am very unhappy.

This app never works right. If it doesn't pick up hearing aides & you go to "pair new aides" it says it has found your aides and proceeds to connect them... except it never connects. You can't shut it down. It goes on for hours draining the battery. It automatically goes into "demo" mode & you cannot get it out. Sometimes you can get it working if you uninstall it but you have to do it numerous times & sometimes it doesn't work. Please fix it because many people depend on it. .

Not very happy after choosing Beltone over three other hearing aids. Great service from local representative and pleased with Amaze but, many problems with the Hear Max app. Went through all the initial procedures and went home with a working ear. Shortly after, I opened the app and it showed a red status and poor instructions for correcting. To make a 6 trip return to dealer and still not fixed a shorter story, I was told that the app is questionable with my LG-G6 phone. The aids were sold to me without any report to that effect. I have been back to Verizon, my phone company and they are confused and say that if the app works for a time and quits that is compatible. I will also add that I called your service phone 3 times without a return call. Poor business in my estimation.

Have downloaded this app countless times -- and then had to uninstall it the same number of times in order to get past the endless "connecting" stage. In other words it hardly ever connects successfully with my Google Pixel -- and when it does it loses the connection every time I change my hearing aid batteries. In short, this app is more trouble than it's worth. Are you listening Beltline??

very good hearing aids. very unreliable app. sometimes it connects seamlessly to my hearing aids and other times i have to go as far as uninstalling, then reinstalling the app, say a quick prayer and try to pair my hearing aides which is hit or miss even with new batteries. very frustrating app. probably would've gone with a different brand if i had known the app was this unreliable. been experiencing these issues since i got them a year ago.

If you need to use HearMax I recommend that you do NOT get an Android 10 phone (or one that is likely to be upgraded to 10.) The Direct Audio Streaming feature is awful and there is no way to turn if off except to turn off your phone's Bluetooth or uninstall HearMax. If I want to stream music to a Bluetooth speaker or to use Android Auto, for example, it interferes; it basically hijacks the Bluetooth for its own use. The sound quality of DAS on HearMax is horrible.

App would not stay connected. I re-paired the aids and rebooted the phone. That did not help. Went to the support site and read that I should turn Bluetooth off then back on to clear it. That seems to have worked. So far the aids stayed connected when changing programs. ....later edit. If you connect any other Bluetooth device, you must cycle Bluetooth off and on and reboot the app to keep connection. Edit one month later....very disappointed in this app. It just will not stay connected.

Mar 2020: App keeps loosing connection. Deleted and tried to setup again. Found hearing aids but never connected with them. Deleted app again. Stuck using basic fuctions on hearing aids. Sept. 2021: New phone (Samsung). Worked great for about a month. Now it doesn't work with audio streaming. Kept loosing connection. Reinstalled app several times. Audio streaming still not working anymore.

App is slow & resets all the time. I can't remember a day that this app doesn't need restarted at least 6 times a day. This is one of the worst apps I have on my phone. Any time I feel like I am not hearing right I can go to this app & click on my favorite setting to see it has changed from where I set it.
