BenchApp Free Team Manager

Good app. Pretty easy to manage a roster and schedule for my softball team. There should be a way to lock games so players cannot check themselves into games that they aren't scheduled to play. I've ended up with too many players showing up for a game because they figured they would get to play. Big negative as others have noted, the Chatter feature is unreliable. The push notifications rarely show up so I always miss important messages. I won't pay for a subscription until this is fixed!

This is not the greatest. It has a lot of functions but it's so glitchy. It just freezes for up to 10 seconds constantly. It also won't send me notifications every time. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Notifications are turned in the app, and in my phone settings. I mean it gets the job done but it's a pain dealing with it freezing up all the time.

This app is buggy beyond all belief to the point that most of its functions are unusable. Notifications about chat messages only come 25% of the time, reactions/replies don't display accurately (if at all), and the last update gives a server error that stops the home page and schedule functions altogether (the only semi-reliable parts). I've used this app for the last 1.5 years since it's what my hockey team uses, and each of us has dealt with this nonsense. So much potential but poor execution.

This app made my life a lot easier organizing my pick-up games. I've been trying to create a new web site with the online booking for the last 3 years. 2 Canadian businesses and a developer gave up on my project. This app covers all my requests and no annual cost to keep it running. The support team solves my issues right on time. I highly recommend this app to whoever runs sport teams.

Keeps asking for me to update, then takes me to Google store where my choices are open or Uninstal. Going in circles. Otherwise I love the app! Pay for it for two different hockey teams. One competitive and one shinny. Every update (currently on my 3rd? Update) has been an issue for me and the team for a few weeks tho, so only 4 stars.

Best app for knowing who's gonna show up for a game. The chat function is sometimes messed up but it's really good for a free app. *edit: chatter function has improved. Notifications are a bit weird, but it works for communicating with teammates. Great work!

I cant login on through the app but can in desktop. Triple checked the password is correct. The app broke after I got a new phone. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well

The messaging is lagging really bad. I've tried resetting my phone and reinstalling it. I'm not sure what's up. It appears to only be the app.

Chat doesn't work very well and it doesn't update dynamically. I have to continually refresh pages. Other than that works as expected.

UPDATE: The app was still causing issues after i was finally able to open/ log in. Once i uninstalled/reinstalled it seems to be working as expected at this point. Thanks for the correction. This app worked fine until the most recent update (1/13/22) and then my phone updated to Android 12.

My biggest issue is the lack of consistency regarding notifications. Many times it doesnt send any, which is a major issue considering that my team plans important events over this app. Often notifications are delayed many hours, if I get any at all.

Notifications are insanely random. I've gotten maybe 1 notification in the past 8 months of reinstalling this app for chats or game schedules. Feels like the app is just a browser that's linking to a web page on the backend.

Each recent update seems to fix one thing and break two others. Currently chat conversation load as empty white screens. Fully broken.

Good app for organizing and communicating with your team. Have had some issues with team chat notifications on my Samsung. The developer has been in contact with me about resolving issues I've had which is great👍

App is occasionally sluggish when switching between teams but is otherwise improving. Keep up the good work!

Not a true native app, simply a website wrapper that performs quite poorly at times. Implement notification channels correctly please...

It's not super intuitive. Having an issue where I can't message in chat because it says I'm offline and I am not offline. Can't get help on website. Did Google search. It's been off on for months. Other team members having same issue. No resolution. Frustrated. All other stuff works as intended. Check-in out for games. See schedule etc np.

This app is useful when it works, but it has terrible crashing issues. With its most recent update, it's completely useless as it just crashes every time you open it.

Most of the time it works well but it's not always intuitive and right now it keeps telling me there's an update when there isn't one.

Good but not great. Works well most of the time. The biggest issue is the chatter push notifications often don't work, which is a problem when running a team, people don't see that messages posted in the chatter so things get missed. Also the constant pop-ups and emails to upgrade to pro that can't be unsubscribed to are very annoying. Also lately it keeps popping up saying an update is available, but I'm running the most recent version. Otherwise great!

In general, this app works very well. the biggest annoyance I have is the scrolling in line-ups and batting order screens. You can only scroll by placing your finger on the outer right-hand side. If you swipe anywhere else, it drags the players with your finger, messing up the line-up. I'm continually messing up my lists.

I like it for playing, but there are a few things that could be updated. 1) I have all notifications set off, but constantly get emails about setting my attendance or something. 2) I can't click links in chatter to join other teams. 3) I can deal with this one, but the app is a little slow to switch into different selections.

Ordinarily, it's pretty good but the latest update produces an overlay that asks if you want to upgrade. It takes up the whole screen and doesn't automatically resize or let you scroll down to answer. You also can't exit. I have to close down the app to get rid of the screen, which means there's currently no way to use the app on a mobile device. That's pretty horrible testing.
