It's an app designed for a phone. All it needs to do is be the website, but slightly more convenient. It shouldn't cut off important parts of the screen, hide key pages behind impenetrable menu structures, or make it literally impossible to even log in. And if the app locks you out, it shouldn't take 48 freaking hours to reach a human to unlock it for you. While it worked it was super convenient. How about you use a few of your trillions of $s to fix your app ML?
Horrible app, most of the time I can't do anything on it because something is wrong with the app. Then when I do try to use it for getting a loan out of my 401k, it stops me because it says my email addresses don't match. They do, I can look at them and see they match.
Fails to load account data constantly. Makes this app pretty useless aside from viewing overall balance.
This app is junk. ALWAYS freezes when loading. Will not open and locks up my phone.
Seems like every other attempt to check my account gives an "oops there was a problem loading your data" or "service failure" error.
Last update ruined the app, all the details always say oops.., thought it would be temporary but remains that way since update. If you want to see your account details you have to use a browser.
Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still says that there is no data connection either on wifi or on mobile networks... of which I have both.
Does not let you see acounts. And then locks up and stops. When closing app it says has a bug. Just updated today
Everytime I try to log on, it always says it's unavailable!! You would figure as much money they make they could afford a more stable website!
Since the most recent update. I can log in and see my balance. But cannot see the account summary and transactions.
What a trashy app this is. I can't believe an investment company as large as Merrill would allow such a disgraceful app. They are more than happy to make money off your investments but can't create an app that does the most basic of functions. I am embarrassed for the app developers who created this. Please find another profession because you failed miserably here.
App is absolutely useless 90% of the time. Always experiencing failures.
You can only view your balance, maybe, if it lets you. Usually, an error has occurred, and won't show you "My Investments"
Absolute dog water of an app. The ONLY reason I'm forced to be associated with them is because my employer stupidly uses them for HSA benefits. Never remembers your password and when you retry resetting your password it asks for your social and then says something wrong happened and couldn't proceed. Absolute asshat company and app
I like the convenience of being able to check my account with an app. No issues so far
The most basic things are missing in this app. If you do some trasaction like selling stock, you can't see the actual sale price. You can't see a roster of transactions and you get conflicting information. Being able to see an account history is a requirement in any financial application, and this doesn't have it. There may be worse apps in financial services, but I have yet to see one.
Unable to connect using VPN. Message returned there is no internet connectivity until the VPN session is paused.
Nice interface but difficult to navigate and use. This app has so much potential but a lot of the options are not what I would expect. I can't find what I think would be straightforward info regarding my awards, sales, and transfers. History and activity don't work... They show no activity despite a few transfers and deposits.
The app is fine for viewing your accounts. I haven't been able to use Advice Access on the app. One constant issue with the app is the fingerprint login. The first attempt always says "We're sorry, but we're unable to complete your request. Please try again later". When I dismiss and use the fingerprint login for the second time, it logs in fine.
I log in to view my retirement fund and the app works well. No complaints
Was a decent app until the most recent version (20.3.626) this version has caused fingerprint security to stop working properly on the pixel 3. Frequent outages of information inside the app. Also there was a change in password requirements and rather than explaining that, the new app just forced people through the change my password process without explanation. Perhaps a little more time in beta was needed.
Easily the worst financial app and brokerage service I have ever used. The interface is trash, the trading fees are obscene, and the entire system is best described as clunky. If it wasnt mandatory because of the company I worked for, I wouldnt have touched it with a 10 foot pole.
I request to speak with someone on how best to continue with a 401k since switching between employers...that was about 2 years ago. They say on the app it takes a week to have someone reach out to you. This institution never reached out to me to inform me of the fees they were pulling to keep my account open (my prior employer apparently paid for the account annual fees but m.l. never informed me that I was now responsible). So far not a good reception on rollover or what to do now.
This app is stop working. Hang up. !!!
This app has very limited functionality compared to other investment tools. For example, you can't place trades using the app. Another annoying thing is that it has too much downtime for system maitenance, and it is always on Saturday mornings when I want to check my weekly account status. I do not understand why the maintenance can't be done during nighttimes.
Have not been able to log into the app for weeks now. I go online and it works fine but the app tells me my user or password is incorrect when it definitely isn't because it works on the webpage. Then my account gets locked so I can't even log in online for X amount of time.
Easy navigation to key information. It used to have a page with a list of account activities eg contributions and dividends, i thought that was super useful but it seemed to have dissapeared. So still need to go to laptop version for this
It used to work fine just for information Lately constantly says something is wrong with my login and call for assistance. I called and they reset my password. It worked for a week and I received the same message and changed my password again. It worked again for about a week and I am once again locked out.
Completely non-functional after update.
I don't know if they're updating their systems on the weekends or what, but it seems like I always get these cryptic notifications from the app and then there's log in issues. Resetting your password doesn't help until days later. Very frustrating that the system so frequently seems to not be available. Has happened multiple times in the last year.
