The app is OK, but reimbursements take way too long to complete, and the available balance doesn't update for pending debits. Not a huge fan.

You can make a payment to a provider through the app, but you cannot pull up data later to reference those payments. If I receive a bill and would like to verify that the provider has already been paid, I cannot do that through the app.

There have been some recent improvements to the app that bring it up to 3 stars, most notably working biometric-linked login, and the ability to see and manage investments. Now I prefer it to the web site, if only to avoid the awkward way multi-factor authentication is handled there. It's still missing a couple features available on the web site. The UI is plain, but mostly functional - if you can ignore loading screens in places you wouldn't expect them and a couple other strange behaviors during navigation. UX needs more thought around things like default filters. The underlying service remains disappointing. Monthly fees if I let my "checking" balance fall below $3000 - most of a year for an unmarried user maxing out paycheck withholding, and worse if you use the HSA to pay for expenses. More monthly fees just for having investments, in addition to whatever your funds charge. I would recommend looking for an alternative provider, but not because of the app.

Doesn't work with password autofill app and won't allow pasting passwords. Both used to work in previous versions. Plus there is no way to show the password and it doesn't support biometric login. There is no way I'm going to try and type in my long random password blindly. This makes the app useless because I cannot log in.

Setting the password was seriously painful. It doesn't quite tell you all the rules and you can't see the password, and there is no checkbox to allow me to see the password. I can't type the password in in a different app and paste it. A long password, 2 special characters (maybe?) 2 lower case, 2 upper case characters, and my fingers not working well on my phone touch screen add up to a lot of frustration. The real time password tips were nice and the app worked as expected after that.

I used to use this app a lot but then whenever I started to login in one day it sent me to the registration page. No matter what I did (uninstall, reinstall) it would always route me to registration. I've had an account for about 2 years and never had an issue with the app. Now I just login thru a browser. Also they shut down for maintenance A LOT.

Update: New version doesn't allow me to log in and won't accept copy/paste from password manager. Completely disfunctional. At least the website still works... t terribly polished but was functional. Now I just keep getting a pop up that says the app has been updated and to check the Play store, but no update is available. So it's just a non-functional waste of space in my phone. Pretty disappointing. Hope they get it fixed soon.

I hoped this would make submitting receipts for reimbursement easier with the phone camera. That much worked, but so much else is wrong. It only shows one submitted, regardless of the number entered, which led me to resubmit, thinking it lost my entries. Using the website to view items submitted through the app shows it also ignored the recipient entered via the app. They will probably use their errors as an excuse to deny the claim. Very unimpressed with this company.

Benefitwallet overall is just TERRIBLE. If you don't want to be charged a monthly fee for your account AND your investments, go elsewhere. They they charged me to close the account. They are so slow to process anything, the app never works especially the investment areas. If you can help it, take your business elsewhere!

The new update is not user friendly. Doesn't show claims requiring attention. No way to upload info. Not sure why you would update your app to completely change the way people are able to use it and rely on it. Wish you would have kept the original version. Worked great never had an issue.

The absolute worst app I have ever had to use. It tells me my account is locked, then signs in fine on browser or completely loses my stored finger print. Now it wants me to create a new account all of a sudden and wont let me confirm the signature. I would estimate I have been able to actually log in about 5% of the time and when I do, I always have to change the password.

I've always had issues with this app for years npw. Any time I try to get a reimbursement for FSA, it times out. I've reinstalled and restarted so many times without luck. The website isn't any better. PLEASE fix the bugs!

The "Pending" claims that I submitted are NOT visible via the app. Also, the app shows that there is NO bank account information for Electronic Transfer and when I try to add bank account info via that option/button, the app says the bank routing info is not valid (which I have verified as correct and also tried MULTIPLE valid options = bank routing and my account routing). Customer support said that there are funtions not available on the app... SO THEN TAKE THOSE OPTIONS OFF THE DAMN APP!!!

Horrible I couldn't get past the first page trying to set up my new account. It asks for your ssn your dob & your zip code & you hit the button to accept your info & each time I tried it says something to the effect my info I'm providing does not match up with some info they have on me. Well I've lived in the same apt going on 7 years only having to relocate to another city when I couldn't find affordable housing in Denver. I tried several times & there is no help button. just got app had to install it because it's been 2 weeks and I still have no check book or cards to access my account and I've been sick not able to see dr. I've had no issues logging in my code worked first time . The do you want to use finger print option that pops up every time you log in is annoying but I just push cancel and move along . haven't tried to pay anything with it really hope its not as bad as everyone says. Hopefully my card comes soon and I dont gotta find out .

I'm giving this 5 stars because it does exactly what I intend to use it for. Login works fine, heck it even works with my phones fingerprint authentication. I have a Samsung Galaxy A51. If it doesn't work for others ... Then you need to update Android on your phone or your phone doesn't support the later versions of Android required for this app to work correctly. Hence ... You need to upgrade to a newer phone and not leave negative comments. Thank You for a great app.

Updates remove the "remembered" user name and password along with the finger print login. Not enough character space to add my mailing address city so i had to abbreviate the city. Wont let me edit my current residential address. I'm sure that is just scratching the surface what is wrong with this app. Its not like I could choose another app as this is the app my HSA uses.

Hot garbage. I encountered a few issues, but the deal breaker is that, when attempting to submit a claim for repayment using a photo of the bill, the UI gives a blank error box. Do better, jerks.

Decided to download the app since the website seem to not want to upload my document. Even on this app I can't upload documents no matter what I try. Keeps saying Pass ID is blank. I've tried taking the photo, uploading a previous photo, and even converting it to PDF. BenefitWallet sucks completely from the website to the app. Now, I will have to mail everything!!!

Nowhere on the app does it allow you to see pending or finalized reimbursements. It does not allow you to see pending or finalized contributions. the app just gives you ytd, no! if I'm sending money your way I want to see that transaction please. the website sucks too, cause I can never log in...tells me i dont exist, even though it is the same login.

The app is not intuitive and it feels like a bare-bone after thought. Very upsetting that I cant use an app to handle my HSA/FSA. The only use right now is to see the status of your account. Don't expect to actually use this app for account management. Transaction details are not even available in this app. Compared to other financial apps out there, this one isn't even close to being a good app [16 Jan 20].

Terrible company!! Been pulling them for months trying to access my funds. I still have no access to being able to reimburse myself for anything. I have no debit card to be able to get my money out of the account. And they can't answer any questions because their website and application is frequently down and the people on the other line of the phone are unable to help. Horrible company! I wish I did not have to use them but I am stuck due to my employer.

Can no longer log in. App tells me my information does not match any information registered. I go the webpage and I can log in, change my password and access all account info. Go back to the app and log in, again my information is not recognized. No updates in play store. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, still cannot access it

Updated 2020-11-15: After nearly 18 months STILL no way to download statements. Unacceptable! Original:Was able to view recent transactions, file a new claim and upload documentation. Even fingerprint login works. What more could you ask for? Amended 2019-06-15: Was forced to update, a practice I deplore, and found there is (1) no way to download statements and (2) no way to send messages to BW.

I forgot my password and in order to change it i have to submit my old one. Really this is why I'm changing it. Recognized my thumbprint and now i get a message about updating site. Still can't get on. Unbelievable . I always seem to run into some sort of issue just so i can log in.

11/2021 update: you can now look at and manage investments through the app with ease. Updating my review from 3 to 5 stars. Well done, much improved. Keep up the good work. I would like to be able to track/manage my investments more efficiently through the app than is currently available.

There isn't the option to upload receipts that need documentation. That's a main reason to log into the app. Please add that capability. I would like to be able to upload receipts for items that need documentation/attention so the card isn't disabled.

This app is unusable. I have a Galaxy Note 10. I've tried using it a few times. Sometimes I'll get past the login screen, but rarely do. Most commands just end with a perpetually spinning circle. Forget about the app and just use the website.

Infinite Loop - Just keeping getting a notice that there is a new version in the Play Store. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing has changed.

Submitted claims on the app and they were not processed. Called and was told should not use app. Also, numerous issues with claims being incorrectly denied. Today received denial notice for a dependent care spending account reimbursement due to not submitting "explanation of benefits or other supporting documentation from your insurance company." The letter clearly states it is for my dependent care spending account. Ridiculous and these inaccurate denials happen all of the time.
