This app used to work before. I installed on my new Note 8 and crashes on initial startup.
The apo frequently reports connection timeout issues. My connection to the Internet tests fine with no packet loss, so it must be this service that is spotty.
There are no reports from users. Reports are rejected right at the border with error msg, "too far from border"
Still is not working as of 10/14/17. Not show any graph or wait times. Do not think it being supported anymore.
The app crashes during initial startup. Every time. Useless. Tried it again Feb 17 2018. Still fails to start.
Hasn't worked or updated in weeks.. Although it relies on bwt, with enough people submitting their real-time data, this could become the next waze type app.
Not at all reliable. Also, cannot access the graphs.
It was a great app until last update, It stop giving the wait time
Don't show the peatones time, the graphics don't show the days of mis bussy time to cross
App is no longer being supprted by its sponsor, UCSD. Should be removed from PlayStore.
App said 1.5 hour wait time but it was actually 4 hrs....way off
the app is BROKEN
Completely unreliable horseshit
Useful app, not always precise ( with an update hourly, and the dynamic nature of the port of entry times can be off by a few minutes), but good for gauging how long you're going to wait. I use San ysidro most often and use this app to determine what times best to cross to get my taco fix
In case you're wondering why it only updates hourly, that info comes from US CBP. It has nothing to do with the app. However, when reporting user wait times the app should disregard "false" iReports. In other words, toss out times that do not reflect other iReports. These skew the average wait times. Also, I'd like to see old iReports so I can see wait time trends.
This app is a waste of time. The wait times are not based on any verifiable info because the app itself prevents users from submitting wait times that vary from what it thinks the wait time should be. I just crossed the border which took an hour when the app said 20 minutes. When I tried to submit a report, it failed because it was too different from what it's predicted wait time was.
App uses Gov data which is (supposed to be) updated hourly, so user reports are important for real time data. But crashes prevent using the timer and frequently prevent submitting the wait time. Saved preferences does not save the choice of lanes ie Std, Ready or Sentri. Historical trend graphs are great for picking a good time to cross. With thousands of people crossing at TJ every day, this could be a great app if it really collected real time data, but with only Gov data, it is only so-so.
Irritating most of the time. The information provided matches the CBP info (which is always wrong) however this app crashes quite frequently when opening and upon submitting Ireport which would be helpful for others to know the real time Crossing.
For some time now I have been unable to submit an iReport due to the app crashing. I just got the new Samsung Note 5, hoping the problem might go away, but it didn't. The app still crashes whenever I try to submit a report. Still, the app is very useful. I cross the Tecate, US/MX border several times a week, and it's nice to be able to see how long of a line awaits me. Now, if we can only get the US Border Patrol/Customs to keep the hourly updates submitted. I'm writing this at 10:50am and the last update was at 7am.
In my experience the CPB reported wait times are almost never accurate for the California San Ysidro auto crossing...they generally report a significantly shorter wait time than is reality. The 'user reported' data however is generally spot on.
App gives inaccurate times. We used it to gauge when to travel. App said 1 hour. We have been in line for FOUR HOURS
Always inaccurate it reports 10 min and it takes like 1hr very day same bull sh.
It's helpful but it needs more subscribers to be more eficient and accurate by more people submitting more information this will make this app more popular but I like it good app thanks to the developer.
I use this app almost every day, I like the layout and the graph for each day, too bad it uses the inaccurate times from CBP website
Combo box is hard to use. Just add key same as old UI that app had.
Great app . It could be the best app video and car count per lane would help. If we users report the border traffic it would help all of us trying to travel and not sit in long lines.
If there were sufficient reports and frequent updates and if the app worked all of the time it works be great. But too often the app isn't working and reports few and infrequent
I use it every time I cross the border and it shows acurate info every time. Tried other apps for border crossing times and none of them where as polished as this one. It would be nicer if showed official info provided from the border patrol and user submited diferently.
Crashes on opening on the same phone that worked foe years
