Can't view hotels on a map. Only come up in a list. Tried rebooting, map function still inoperative. Guess I'll be stay at a Holiday Inn.
I had to get a temporary password to log in and now I can't find where I am able to update any information related to my account. Settings only lets me select my language.
Cant pull hotel bills for any of my stays. The Eden, a Best Western Premier property, very rarely emails me my bill after check out. Hilton and Marriott do it 100% of the time. BW is 25% tops. Since I can't view the bills on the app, I need to call, or email them to get my bill sent. It's really annoying. I wish the app would get fixed so I can pull the bills. It just freezes the app each time I click on the stay.
Best Western hotels are one of the best deals out there I travel a lot and I find them to be consistently clean. their rewards program is pretty good and their staff on the telephones are great. that said their app is a flipping nightmare. I logged in I go to the screen I go to the next screen to check on hotel price and it says please login constantly. and everyone goes straight changes take some minute or so it doesn't matter how good my signal is or the quality of phone I'm on.
Seems really suspicious that when you are trying to cancell a reservation it freezes but when you just try to see it it works just fine
Diamond Member here, unfortunately the app needs a lot of work. It crashes a lot, the distances between cities are incorrect, and whenever I try to search for a room somewhere more often than not I get this ridiculous session timeout message and I have to start the search process all over again. It is very inconvenient. BW is a great hotel chain. I wish that there were more properties out there, but man this app is the pits. Probably the worst hotel app out there. I hope they can upgrade it.
This is one of the most frustrating apps I use. As a traveler, we prefer to stay with Best Western, but the app is ultra buggy and doesn't work 1/2 the time. I am Diamond status with the hotel, and the app says I'm Blue (first level). It does show the correct points. I wish this app worked better. Most times it's easier to just call the property and book than use the app.
Several problems with BW mobile app. It frequently logs me out and sometimes locks me out. Then I have to call Cust Serv to get back in. I only find this out when I'm in a time crunch making a reservation and it's very annoying. Can ruin the timing of travel. The Settings menu is not functional at all. The Touch ID is not functional at all. Customer service was contacted and was very nice but admitted to being unable to assist. I WAS able to make a reservation and also to cancel one so it's not completely useless but it set my trip back by an hour sitting along the road to work it out.
It works, but could learn a lot from other hotel apps. I have to login every time I use it (no option for a PIN). It's the only hotel app of the 5 I have accounts with that has that annoying issue. I don't stay at BW preferentially because of this. I travel for work around 25 - 30 nights for every 1 night non-work, it's all about maximizing convenience for who gets my business.
Very frustrating to try to book hotel. Sometimes it works, but usually not when I try to log in for express registration. Also, does not load activity or correct point balance. Usually have to change password just to let me log in. Love using the app to research and find properties, just wish it wasn't such a hassle to book when you find what you want.
It's ok, but as soon as I try to check into my rewards dashboard the app stops working and has to be closed. Removing and reinstalling app doesn't change anything. The rest of the app works fine. Can be a bit slow to respond and find that when you go back into it after being out, it says you session has timed out. That's ok, but why must I then close it, why not just automatically go to home page when it times out ?
App does not reflect your true status and points. Very deceiving. It may show your reservations but does not show any accrued points. Better to use the web version. This app is disappointing. You can't do anything from it without it directing you to the web. It's useless. I have uninstalled it and will use the web version going forward.
App needs MAJOR Overhaul. Very frustrating & difficult app. Not user friendly. It doesn't reflect correct rewards points. Constantly crashing & landing on Session Time Out screen. Log in after log in even when I'm already logged in. The password viewer icon IS NECESSARY so I can see what password I've entered before I try to log on. Surely Best Western can do better here.
I travel a lot and use these apps all the time. This app continuously times out after 1 to 2 seconds when im trying to look at rewards or change my information etc. Its so frustrating, i want to use it more, but when hilton, IHG and Wyndham make it easier, its hard to want to use this and stay at your hotels... please assess and fix.
The app has several glitches: 1) All reward categories defaulting to one category (donation, airline miles, hotel redemption); 2) CONTACT US: Unable to send an email, program glitch. 3) not all menu selections available such as MY ACCOUNT so that I can edit. This is a sad app and would like it fixed, otherwise , may need to change hotel preference.
Times out with every page navigation. You have to hit a button to acknowledge and then make sure your rate is applied. This app is awful. It is a shame because BW does have some very nice properties but I would rather have an easier booking experience.
It's a garbage hotel in Cambridge Ontario, I booked 10 days and while I was there had my room broken into, and they kept my$200 room deposit, I would rather sleep in my car!!!
Can't even log in so my review is only based on that.....and the fact when you press 1 for English when calling customer service, your call is answer by a woman speaking Spanish.
Have utilized this application for a few years. Works fine, never any issues.
WORST hotel app ever! Could not get logged in, kept freezing, would not accept password, would not email a new password reset, the list goes on and on and on! Finally gave up and contacted Customer Service. Still cannot reset password. Cannot place a reservation as App keeps freezing and logs me out over and over again. I have reinstalled app numerous times, restarted phone , cleared cookies, cache, Nonthing, The MOST frustrating app ever! Get this fixed BW! 1 star reviews!
Apparently you don't want our money because everytime I try to use this app it says log in failed. I know my username and password are correct and I still can't log in. When, on the rare occasion I can log in, it doesn't keep me logged in. I've been running into this issue for AT LEAST 6 months now and I called about the issue and you guys said you were working to get it fixed. 6 months later and it's still not fixed. Well guess what, I travel every week and I love your hotels but you will NEVER receive another penny of mine. I'll stick with Choice or IHG. At least their reservation process makes it seem like they want you to stay with them.
Almost got this right! Biometric login simply does not work on my phone where other apps can use biometric fingerprint just fine. I do have a recent and high-end phone model. Was pushed to the app because the internet-based browser site became unusable (selecting dates for possible stays on that system just wouldn't work). You can do better than this BW!
Used this app for over a year and worked well. Now it seems like the problems others describe are happening to my account. Cant log in, says email or password is wrong, it is not. Seems,according to others, been this way for months and BW just doesnt care to get it fixed. Been staying at HI a lot more recently cause this thing is such a pain
This app is impossible to book on. Even though I'm already logged in it still asks me to express log in or create an account before I make a reservation. So I attempt to log in. I use the correct info. It asks me to do a recaptcha, the recaptcha never loads and I can't move forward. Or if it does it tells me in using the wrong log in, the same log in that I used to log in to the app. It's terrible.
This app is junk. The navigation is clunky. Sometimes layout problems hide critical function buttons or important information. Some pages like Rewards Activity pull up blank, even though I have several recent stays. I stay with other hotel brands when I can, checking BW last because of its substandard app.
It's basically just a wrapper for a website. I managed to book a room but it times out often. More interestingly, the app has built in trackers from Google, Facebook, Pinterest and Amobee that will scrub your data. There was no prompt letting the user know about this activity (which happens in the background). Shame
