Bestway Smart Hub

Worked great with first time setup... for a day. Then the Wi-Fi lost the connection to the router. I reset the spa unit and did a clean reinstall of the app, but it won't connect to my router even after a dozen attempts. Exact same location, and my phone connects to the spa's hotspot just fine, but now there's no way to enter my router's SSID. I can enter the key but not the SSID Since the spa doesn't have a real time clock and scheduler, that's a major problem. Epic fail.

Had the spa now for about a year. Everything is work, except the WiFi control. I had it working just find all this time. then it stop working. It forced me to do an update on the software, and now it does not work. The software can find the product as instructed in manual, or it can find my WiFi network, it keeps telling me that it FAILED. Now I need to manually select function from the keypad on the pump. Also, the Air Bubble button will not work unless I turn off the system, wait for pump to stop, turn on controller, and select Heater, Filter then Bubbles.. This system DOES NOT have a timer function. you can NOT set a timer to turn on and off the system for more then a day. I dont think set up of a timer each day is practical. The Spa itself is very well made and no other issues after one year.

Much like the Lazyspa app this does not work. The email address can't have a + character in. When trying to connect to the device it just changes my phone wifi settings where it should be "select the wifi that the hot tub will use" in a drop down. (Android 9) I used the have the lazyspa app working just fine but since their latest update I can't log in.

By making it smart they've made it dumb. I'm using it for the pool pump but it only has the same functions as the buttons on the pump (power and timer). It would have been nice (and actually smart) if it had options to turn on automatically every day and set the timer based on outside temperature. Because it doesn't run when applying power I can't use a timer outlet for this and have to remember to turn it on every day. Dumb, but at least I don't have to go outside into the rain to run the pump

Selecting of WIFI network doesn't work at Huawei P Smart phone. There's no network to choose from, it's saying "Wi-fi not set" and when I click on it, it is redirecting me to Androids Wi-fi settings, where I cannot do anything that will transfer the wi-fi network name to the Bestway app. I can connect and disconnect to a wi-fi network, but that does nothing to the app. Please fix, otherway it is useless. Thanks! :-)

Use this instead of the LAYZSPA app, which is useless. Would be nice to be able to set repeat timers or better still, scheduling. It is not easy to connect on Android, as the OS keeps disconnecting and hiding any wifi network without an internet connection. Took several tries last time.

As others have said, the latest update seems a step backwards with regard to the heater experience. My biggest gripe is the schedule function. You'd expect to be able to set a schedule everyday, i.e. turn on heater 11am-4pm (useful if you have solar panels and want to save money). But that's not how the schedule function in the app works. You can only say: in X hours, run for X hours. Kind of pointless!

Everything is connecting, but in the end, it says it fails. I have full signal and I have tried setting it up for 2 days straight. Absolutely worthless app.

Goes all way through connecting to your WiFi, then won't let you name the spa (or leave blank). So frustrating. The spa thinks it's connected, but the app doesn't save anything.

I haven't been able to even use the app. I tried registering it, but never even got the confirmation email... huge let down. A large part of the reason i chose this spa was for the Wi-Fi / app function which i haven't been able to even use.

After its downloaded, it pops up a message that says you need crosswalk project and to get it from the play store. When you click on the "get" part it does absolutely nothing. So that app closes. When I scan the QR code it pulls up a satellite radio app. Very frustrating!

Oh my days! This has trouble connecting to the heater unit, I have most probably had a success rate of 2% on three different devices. Very disappointed, considering I spent the extra for the WiFi connectivity. Save your money and buy a standard hot tub.

The latest update (March 2021) seems a retrograde step. Lay Z Spa control function has been changed cosmetically for the worst and I dont think it shows that the heater is working or not. Previous version showed red or green.No update to the timer function either

Cannot connect with WiFi with Android 11 software even when the spa and my phone are next to the router therefore, unable to comment on the WiFi function beyond the fact that it doesn't work.

I tried to use the Lay z Spa app which is useless and simply dosnt work. This app works but its poor considering the extra £100 the pump cost. As a minimum I would expect a daily timer function so I could customize settings for all 7 days of the week rather than having to manually access the app on a daily basis.

Won't work without internet connection. Has to be able to access your pictures and location but "won't use" pii. Just to see if pump is on? Lame remote control to require access to private data.

Hard to rate the app when it won't even send me a verification email so I can log into it. Have signed up twice. No email.

Not working with Samsung galaxy s21. WiFi won't connect when going through the set up. It used to.work fine before the latest update 🙁

It works. But it would be nice to set a schedule. I wish IFTTT or Alexa would link up.

Can't register, because activation email never arrived. I bought this spa because of wifi feature... I am very very disappointed.

I can't make an account or use the app. To register you must verify via email but the email never arrives. I have checked all inbox folders.

Never received an email to activate account. Can't use app. Paid an extra $50 for the hot tub with wi-fi that so far has been a waste.

Qr code on the pump is invalid. No matter how many times tried never even tries to connect to my wifi even trying to connect to the pump directly. Useless app.

Tried to get it to work numerous times, didn't want to connect to WiFi or the spa. Just useless.

It is a back step for the new app, used to be able to tell when the heater was functioning as it lit up red now shows as heat is on all time and no change in colour so without going to spa you don't know if the heater has turned on.

Terrible since the update you can't tell if the heater is on or off reached temperature before it would light up red then when heater was on and it would go green when temperature reached. This is certainly a back step don't like this at all.

Continuously disconnects. Refuses to reconnect even tho literally two feet from wifi source & all other appliances are connected. Software is trash.

Well let's be honest the update ruined the app. If you do a simple google search for Bestway Smart Hub APK you will be able to download the previous version and then set to not auto update. You're welcome.

Worked fine for 3 minutes. No buttons work yet my WiFi is still working fine there are 3 full bars on the pump display.

This App works just fine for Us , It's nice to stand on my covered porch and tell the pump to run , instead of going out in the rain . The timer set works as well .
