Poorly maintained. Too many bugs. Not worth relying on to actually catch the trolley (circulator) if you need to be somewhere. Fun to open and peruse to kill time and document how inaccurate the app can be.
The app works, just not well. When the app loads the route, the map plops you in the middle of the ocean, you need to tap the re-center button to actually see the route and buses.
The app does not work. Previously it was not accurate. I deleted and uploaded the newer app. It does not show buses moving at all.
The bus locater never updates. This could be such a useful app. Please fix!
App is very glitchy. Time estimates jump around frequently. Useless.
Too buggy considering how feature-limited this app is. Spend some money on a decent developer and fix it.
The list of stops need to be updated. Barnes & Noble and Crown Oil are gone.
The app exists but isn't being supported. 2021 2022.
So far it only seems to work on wifi for me... (not on cellular network)
It's better than nothing. Would be better if it update more often, and especially if it would load the route. Haven't been able to use it in days.

Just started using this app and its great! So easy to use and accurate. Really makes the day easier
It needs directional arrows to identify which way the buses are going
Directional arrows and points of interest highlighted on the map would do wonders though
Needs some basic improvements.
The app is a nice idea, poorly executed. First, there is the problem with the mystery Account Code that needs to be entered (it's BUP). Then, there is the problem that you have to manually select the route map every time you want to use the app (start the app, pull up the menu, select Routes, then check the nearly invisible box next to "BUP"). Finally, there is the annoyance that it won't let you use the phone's menu button - you have to select the menu icon on the map screen AND they have made the icon so small and pushed it so far to the left side that it's almost impossible to hit it with your finger. So, what should be a simple process of starting the app and looking at the route, becomes and five minute long exercise in frustration. It's faster to just walk and skip the bus. I wrote to BUP to complain about it, and they didn't bother to answer.
One could think with extremely expensive traffic tickets that provide the revenue for BUP that BUP could provide an app that lets you know how long until the next circulator is. But hey, at least this lets us confirm that the buses sitting dark at the metro are in fact not moving at the metro.
Startup is awkward at best on a android version and sometimes impossible without restarting phone.
But this app is REALLY week, like a pre-alpha release. Heck, when I open it, I get a world map and have to click down to Bethesda. Keep at it BUP, nice idea, not there yet.
Why does it open up the world map centered on Africa when this app only works with bethesda circulator??? Why do you make me pick from a drop down menu when the only option is bethesda circulator??? This app has so many w.t.f. illogical things built in to it...
Finally found the code on internet. It is 'bup' for Bethesda Urban Partnership. The app is not perfect, but the bus localization is very accurate.
What a wonderful idea but why should there be a code page to begin with??

This app decided all of the sudden to stop working. Service is basic and not reliable.
As a local Bethesda resident who wishes to use the circulator to catch the metro in the mornings, this app is the poorest excuse of a proper bus tracker I've ever seen. Buggy and unreliable for 95% of my commutes. I would uninstall it if it weren't for the few times it did genuinely help me see a bus was coming soon and hop aboard.
