If you want a good excercise app but don't want to jump straight into insane workouts, definitely give this app a go. The interface is simple and easy to navigate, and the workouts aren't overbearing. Something I personally really like is how you can close the app and the workout timer will still be running, so you can pull up your own music from youtube or wherever, I absolutely love that. Please consider giving this app a try :)
Went to download this app today to try the free 7 day trial. BUT you have to sign up with a credit card per month for $9.99, when I went to the payment page it changed the price to a higher one. I thought that was weird and backed out and redid it again and got a DIFFERENT but higher price. Did it a third time and got a different price again. So beware!!! I didn't end up trying it unfortunately because of this price scam.
Buyer beware! If you choose to try this app for the trial period and decide not to continue with the subscription, make sure you read how to cancel properly beforehand because the fine print is very misleading and unclear. They make it sound like you can just turn off auto pay from your account settings before your trial period ends and you won't be charged. However, that option doesn't exist under settings. You have to click "billing terms" way down at the bottom to understand how to access it
It said 7 day free trial. As soon as I entered my credit card information my account was charged the entire year amount. I went into google subscriptions to cancel immediately and was only able to cancel. This is only contact info. Please immediately credit back my acct. Also improve app so 7 day free trial is just that. I was willing to pay for the year once I had a chance to try out. I will update this review if this is corrected and I can indeed try for 7 days.
I was under the impression when I signed up that there was a free 7 day trial but when I subscribed I didn't get a free 7 day trial. It charged my card right away. Very sneaky. I wish I would have read some reviews before I purchased because now I see a previous review that there really is no FREE TRIAL and they do not issue refunds. Make sure you really want this app before purchasing!!!
Not worth the money. Plenty of free apps out there doing more. Update. I've been on the app over a year. It was good when I started. Surely that's long enough to pass judgement. I deleted it because you changed it about a year ago. I gave it a fair trial. But sadly the changes you made were not for me. I average 14000 steps a day. But this app is nothing more than a lottery of possibly winning a minimal prize. Deleted because I'm not using it anymore.
Hey, I'm facing major issues with the app. A particular workout never completes, it automatically reverses an active workout and goes back to the starting point. Very poor performance. Extremely Disappointed. Was thinking of trying other Better Me apps but this experience has turned me off. Would like my money back.
Liked the trial so I decided to purchase the premium access. Once I did that, the app quit working. Deleted the app and reinstalled several times and still not working. So I uninstalled the app again, restarted my phone, and reinstalled the app AGAIN and NOTHING! Still doesn't work! what a waste of money! Now I have to work in getting refunded or fixed! Save your self the time and money and skip this app.
DON'T SIGN UP FOR THIS APP, DON'T SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TRIAL!! I signed up for the 7 day free trial and it automatically charged me the $9.99! And what's more, I went ahead and looked at the app and it's super basic - - nothing more than what my fitbit app can do. Just tells you when to speed up and slow DOWN. Nothing worth paying $10 a month for. I wouldn't pay for this at all if I had a choice. I emailed betterme about this, asking for my money back, and I've yet to hear back.
Not worth it. The app just tells you to walk but you can't even view what it does without paying, so that's a huge waste of money. If you have a Samsung, just use S health and set a time limit by day. The app doesn't have reminders, doesn't change any walking speeds by day, the daily walking doesnt even come close to a quarter of the steps its given me as a goal. Just stupid. Don't waste your money.
Awful experience!!! I downloaded it to try the trial version out. It didn't work for me and what I wanted to use it for. So I thought I canceled the subscription and I Uninstaller the app from my phone after installing it to find out when I got my cellphone bill that I was charged for a yearly charge. I have emailed them and not heard anything back except a auto reply.
App lures you in by allowing free download and asking you to add your info ie. Weight , age etc then before you know it you are clicking for the next stage only to find you've paid £54.99 for a year's subscription. No warning that you'll be charged, no other options for weekly or monthly subscription and certainly no option for a free trial. I feel as if I've been robbed. I want the app makers to come back to me asap to let me know how I can obtain a refund. Outrageous! Update:Refund by Google!
The idea is great however i think the timing is off or you have to keep your phone open for the app to count down correctly. i went for a "25 minute" workout and without realising it was out for 45! not the most horrible thing but if you only schedule in that 25 min and dont want to keep a watch on you while you walk then you may find yourself late for other things.
The app itself might be fine; I'm never going to know, because there is no indication on the Play store page that this is a 100% paid app. I went to the trouble to enter a bunch of personal information, then hit the payment screen. If you're choosy about your subscriptions and prefer to know going in that you're going to be charged, you should probably skip this one.
used the free version of the app. the free version has practically NOTHING except a time keeper that tells u to walk at slow / medium/ fast pace. had the first walk today....it was supposed to be a 27 mins walk, but got thoroughly confused by the end cos i ended up walking for almost 50 mins inspite of following the time keeper of the app precisely ???? secondly, at the end of the walk, there was practically NOTHING in terms of analysis - distance walked, speed etc. these r available in other ap
Only got as far as putting in my height, weight, and a few other questions. Then straight to PAY US NOW, little chance to to a trial. Sure you can select the 9 bucks a month plan and get the 7 day trial. But that is twice as much as the annual plan that has NO TRIAL RUN. Don't waste you time downloading this app. I am DEFINITELY uninstalling!!!
I never was able to use the app because of the monthly subscription. People living paycheck-to-paycheck cannot afford unnecessary monthly subscriptions. If I'm going to pay for something, then I would prefer to pay a one-time fee per year. An app like this would be worth $20 to me for the year, assuming I liked it. Also, the app offers a 1-week free trial while suggesting extreme weight loss after 1 month. Put your money where your mouth is! Give me a month free. If I lose weight, then I'm in.
Expensive. It tells me imto input my data and then expects you to pay! My fitbit app reminds me to walk. I was hoping for a little more than that but won't pay for the privilege of finding out if this does. And yes you can cancel but it would be better to see what the app does before having to pay. Too expensive!
This is not a free app at all, and the only trial is if you sign up for a subscription to receive I believe 7days free. Disappointed because you get the impression you get to try the app with in app purchases. Not a full on subscription and possible in app purchases. Was looking forward to trying this... But now it's Uninstalled.
It never mentioned it was a subscription service. I downloaded the app to find it was a free 7day trial, then it was a pay monthly plan. I'm in the UK and price was in dollars. Don't want the hassle as I have had subscriptions before and trying to cancel them can be a problem. Pity as the app looks good
The payment method is really sneaky. It's got potential, but beware that the set up process includes a paid subscription. Very disappointed in the developers for not being upfront about the payment in advertising and putting in such a small font, in a hard to see colour
Downloaded the app, looked it over have been trying to use it but NEVER subscribed to it for payment. Well I just got a 65$ dollar charge like what the heck!??? Just because I have my card in my Google play account it gives you no right to charge me for something I have not subscribed to. I've had the app for several months now and now you start charging me!? Give me back a refund! Update:- this was not an accidental subscription as per emails that were exchanged, I don't have a subscription
I signed up for FREE 7 DAY TRIAL on 10/30/19. Instead of FREE, funds were immediately deducted from my account in the amount of $9.99 to cover a full month subscription. I've attempted to contact this company as well as G-Pay in order to get a refund with no luck whatsoever. I cancel immediately and I tried getting a refund through Google with no success. Would not recommend this App. Shame for deceiving the public.
It says you get a 7-day free trial before paying, but I was charged for the entire year immediately and it doesn't look like I'll be getting a refund. The "customized" walking program is just walks for weight loss, meditation, etc. The actual app, though, is just a really obnoxious computer-generated voice saying walk faster or slower on a timer. You could literally replace this app with a stopwatch.
