perfect for hands off users who just want a robo advisor to do everything for them. I love the automatic function of it to where I don't even notice until I go to check the account balance and I'm pleasantly surprised. would happily suggest this to anybody looking to invest with little to zero knowledge about the market. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Dislike the new update. The "See performance" area no longer shows the graph if you select a different time period (ie YTD) and overall shows less information. Definitely a downgrade.
I have had the app for years and it has had major improvements to portfolio management. The most recent update had a significant aesthetic change that I do not like. Maybe it will grow on me...
Options on my app are either running slow or showing a blank page. Funding account is completely dysfunctional. I've heard so many good things about this company I really want it to work
After enabling fingerprint authentication the app will occasionally sign me out. Why? Forcing me to get the password and use it after setting up a biometric isn't making the app more secure. Edit to reply: That's the issue though, I haven't logged out completely. I'm assuming an upgrade to the version may have caused it. I would completely understand if I had logged myself out but that's not the case.
I recently had my account suspended for suspicious activity. As it turns out, it was because the Yotta account I have, I can't transfer into taxable accounts (only 1 checking account I sync up). So I called customer service explained the situation, and got my account unlocked. Their email system is good too. While they don't give direct advice, they will link a page that has more info on the topic that does have suggestions with certain situations. They make it easy to Set it & forget it too.
I set mine up as a savings account that would accumulate interest so I was not supposed to lose money but I did. I have not once been over or even at the amount that I have put in. And they make it hard to get a hold of them so I haven't been able to ask for my money back.
Some of the control of the accounts only works on the website. Otherwise it's a good app. -2 stars because it should have full functionality.
Every time I log in it asks to use the biometrics in the next time and I approve that. However, somehow the app cannot use biometrics and I have to use password every time to log in.
A good investment service. The algorithm isn't as aggressive as I expected, and there isn't a lot of choice for customization, but for a lazy way to invest with low fees, it's a good option.
disappointed my fund worth less than what I've put in I would of done better to have money in savings. I have had better luck learning about the stock market and going with anouther service but the app was easy to use so that a plus
Very safe App. I'm setting up my devices too my accounts. I'm still not able to get in them completely but I know with Google Android I'm secured all the way. !
Interface can be a bit confusing to find specific actions. Otherwise good app.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS APP! If I could give this company negative stars I would! Worst customer support ever. They have frozen my cash accounts with all my money due to a "suspicious" $200 venmo charge. I can't pay my bills including credit cards & mortgage. I have received late fees and this is now impacting my credit. They don't have phone support for that department and I have no idea what's going on or how soon I will have access to my money again. RUN AWAY FROM THIS APP
They are horrible, they lock your account on the basis of fraud but there was no fraud, and the customer service is trash. No body could explain to me why they locked my account and the one person I did talk to transferd me to security and it was automated. The messege said, my account could not be unlocked and I couldn't make a new account. Before all this, i initiated a withdrawal of a lot of money and idk if I'm going to even get my money. Terrible app, stay away.
**WARNING**Advisory fees when they cannot advise or be contacted? Does FDIC KNOW THIS? THEY WILL STEAL UR MONEY & WONT CONTACT U BACK. Their charging. 50 per account without any advising.. read fine print. No one does this but this app. Also errors of transfer bug to edit. Not what I expected when we signed up. Poorly managed. If your noticing funds gone this is why. I write down every transfer. And my amount goes down monthly and doesn't match the market percentages at all
Would like to see my goal projection and earnings more easily. Simple and secure is good. Perhaps a bit too simple
4 months ago I would have rated Betterment 4-5 stars. Now not so much because I am getting the "lovely" slow as molasses experience from support. I have been locked out of my account since November. I get replies from support up until I submit the verification proof and then never hear from any support until I bother them a bunch and someone new tells me to submit verification. At this point, I just want my money back and find a better place to do investing. Very frustrating.
I signed up with Betterment over a week ago. Despite having other financial accounts, both robo and managed accounts, Betterment still hasn't opened my account. Worse still, I have reached out by email and in the app and have yet to receive a response. Very unprofessional for a financial advisor app. I will be deleting this app as there are equally accessable advisors who want and value my business.
I got an account and got in an argument with my wife and asked them to withdraw my money. Nothing . So I emailed an advisor, I was a little angry so it didn't sound so good. After that they locked my account for the email I sent. All I wanted to do was withdraw and logg back in to start over. And they locked me out. This app doesn't make an effort to help you, I just sent off emails we will see how that goes. They have phone but can never talk to anyone. And their email is high volume.
The app just got an updated look, which is clean. For basic tasks this app does the trick, the goals are kind of confusing, and adjusting them is easier on the website. If you're curious about investing and don't mind robots doing it for you, Betterment is pretty good, and the fees are manageable.
