I can no longer log into the app since a recent update. From the app I get redirected to a website on my phone to log in. I successfully authenticate there but never get returned to the BGE app. I've tried clearing the data for the app but get the same result. This app was excellent before the update. Please help! Update 4/11: I am still unable to log into the BGE app. Same behavior as described above. Update 5/11: I am still experiencing the same issue as described above.
Bill payment has been unavailable through the app for months. Have to use the phone system (which I hate) and it charges you a fee every use. App has become pointless and a waste of my phone space.
Looks like this acquisition left out IT! Can't log in via the website, it just spins and has been doing that for at least a week. Wow! I can log in via the app, but false hope. 2FA set up fails, attempted to change my password which fails so now I'm locked out via the app too! Great job BGE! Let's hope the service doesn't perform the same way! 😡
Well, since my last review they have fixed the old paid off account problem but you still have a fee to pay which isn't too bad when you think about the pros / cons. It's a good app other than that. I don't like the fee for paying by phone or online and it holds on to a old paid off account like it's active! Other than that it's nice to pay from my phone.
Hasn't worked since the last major update! MONTHS!! Fails to log in. Redirects user to website login and fails. I fail to understand if every user is having an issue, why BGE can't just revert to an older version of the app?
This app never works! I have to reset my password EVERY time I use it, it launches to the browser and then says bad request, this time it asked me to set up 2FA so I thought "maybe that will help" but it can't set up 2FA, and if I get to a place where it finally looks like it'll login it just spins it's wheels and either gives me an error or nothing happens. I used to like this app but for the last few months it just doesn't work!
The app logs me out so every single time I use it I have to sign in again. That's if it is actually working. With the exorbitant prices they've been charging, you think they could make at least a somewhat functional app.
The app was updated through Google Play. Whenever I try to sign in, it opens up the browser. When signing into the browser, it gives me an error saying "we're sorry, we weren't able to process your request. An error occurred and we weren't able to process your request. Please try again". It also never leaves the browser back to the app. The new app is basically useless. Might as well use the browser. It's over and over and over again. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling. Running on Android 12.
Every time the app launches I have to refresh the screen. Android Galaxy S21 and I have fiber internet. It basically never opens. I've unloaded and reloaded a dozen times.
The earlier crashing seems to be fixed. Overall, it's really great experience using the app and is very convenient.
The app won't display my amount due... not can I make payments keeps giving me an error saying I'm not able to make payments at this time. Don't know what happened but all of these options use to work until recently.
App is worthless ever since they "updated" it after BGE rebranded. Used to be a helpful and user friendly app. Now I try to sign in, it opens in a web browser (what's the point of having an app?), then tells me it can't sign me in. Why? No idea. If I go directly to the web browser and sign in with the exact same login info (obviously) I can get in without a problem. This app is now nothing more than waste of storage space on my phone.
The app does not give an accurate account of my bill. I have spoken with customer service agents for 6 months now and still my account and the app is not correct. Update 6 months for last post. This app still doesn't work correctly. I have spoken to several people and supervisors. Also doesn't down bill in pdf like it states.
Upsets me that I have to pay an extra charge for thier convenient acceptance of my payment. I should say screw it and send me the bill and they can pay the postage.
Can no longer log into app. Says that my password is incorrect, but when I go to reset the password I enter my email address and then I am stuck on a loading screen. I never received an email to reset my password. I have no way to pay my bill right now, this is unacceptable.
Don't travel and try to review your bill, or usuage. The system will not show you anything. It will however find away to accept a payment.
App used to work flawlessly before this Exelon update. Now you can't even log in because their two step verification is broken and keeps flipping between the app and browser without actually logging in. Useless update.
App sucks, can't login in without opening web browser, then it has to do a 2 step verification everytime! It's absurd, the old layout was simpler too. Everyone behind these changes should just resign because they suck, oh and I hate them for doing this may they rot in **** If anyone at bge has half a brain left look at the reviews post update I'm not the only one who can no longer use the app. Do us all a favor and fix it immediately. If I could buy my electric elsewhere I would..... Scumbags!
This app makes paying my bill really easy, but the actual bill breakdown won't download as a .pdf and the Usage tab doesn't work at all. On top of that, the ebill with monthly breakdown is sporadic month to month. I will start paperbilling again just so I can view the breakdowns.
Working now. If you need to, uninstall the application and install from the app store. Should work thereafter. The developers say it's a caching issue with Google's app store causing the update to fail. Worked for me. Didn't lose my login data after, either.
Keeps saying we have upgraded version but it would open the app, so now I have to go to the actual website and log in.. why keep making us use upgraded versions if they don't work... this is very inconvenient it was nothing wrong with the original app I had.
The app update downloads bills in an invalid pdf format. It also has me locked in storm mode so I can't view my usage history. It looks slick, but all the functionality seems to be gone.
App is as good as useless. Any changes made on the app isn't effected by bge. I changed my method of payment to my credit card from using a bank account yet, they used the old payment account which I have closed and claimed my payment was returned; I was charged a fee for that. Now, this is another month, my credit card still haven't been charged and I'm expecting them to say payment was returned and still charge me a fee. I cannot access the bill interface without major issues.
Worked great until I updated the app today. Now, it opens in a web browser after you enter your login credentials, then it says it wasn't able to process my request, and to try, again, later. Hours later still can't log in.
Terrible upgrade! Like everyone else was forced to do the 2 step verification verification in order to log in. Not sure why it keeps going back to the browser when you try to log on through the app. Doesn't make sense to use an app if you're going to be forced to go back to the browser. Also, it has removed the fingerprint sign on function.
I would give this app a zero if possible. It's glitchy, crashes constantly, and it's honestly just easier to sit at a computer and access my bill.
I've used this app for over a year and out of the blue I can't access the app. I log in and it says "no network connection please reload and try again" even though my internet works just fine with other apps. I've rebooted, reinstalled, logged in and out and it's given me the same message for the last 2 days. Update: it's 5/9/21 and it still doesn't work. 5/18/21 still getting the no network connection message. 8/18/21 still not working. 4/18/22 still no network connection message. Useless.
I am having issues with opening the app. It tries to open but it closes and states that it has a bug and needs a correction to the bug.
It keeps logging me out after every verification. It's highly annoying. The old app wasn't broken why fix it. The same thing happens when you try to log in on the actual website.🤨😤
Addendum, like everyone else I had been in unable to log on since the update. Based on sad experience with other apps I did not accept the two factor verification. From what read I am glad I didn't. BTW, I called for assistance and was referred to the business office which was closed. Tried to log on again using a password permutation and was able to access it my account. The two factor verification system is wacked. Was the same lowest bidder used by all? Bring back finger print access.
